S. A.Richardsons boat hire is brilliant, We hire a boat for 3 hours everytime we come up here staff are friendly the boats are always clean and sanitised. This year we took our 1 year old son and he loved it couldn't stop looking around.
D. L.We had a great day out on an electric Day Boat which we hired from Richardsons.. The boat was really nice and the service from the lad at the reception was really great.
We went down to the Lion at Thurne and got back with time to spare and had stopped to look around the Broads as well as floating down the river..
Make sure you know where to moor though as there are no toilets onboard..
The Broads are so relaxing and picturesque and it is a great day out- Not the cheapest but a great day and we’ll worth the money.

P. J.Excellent service. Fabulous boat for 10 and a spaniel. Lovely warm friendly staff. We lost our car key and didn’t have a spare. We searched high and low and we asked staff to help. The chap found it. Thankfully it hadn’t fallen into the water.
J. B.Staff were great -knowledgeable and patient. Boat did the job without issues. I liked the size. We had an eight seater boat - there were three of us and two dogs (labs). We opted for the full day which allowed us to stop several times. Shame that it was so busy on the water, but it was the school holidays. Excellent experience.

D. W.Good boat hire for a few hours on the broads. Had to ring up the base as the electric boat was rapidly running out of charge. Turns out the electric meter wasn't functioning correctly.

We were looking for a spontaneous hire for a day trip on the Broads and Richardson's were one of 3 Google suggestions.
The staff were helpful and we took a 5-hour rental in an electric boat (environmentally friendly and all!).
It's a really easy thing to do, even with no prior experience!
If it's your first time, there are a few places to moor up for lunch or coffee (busier in Summer so moorings might be limited) - 4 hours will get you 1,5h each way and an hour for lunch.
