Great service; nice car. We read all the terms and conditions, called before making a booking to ask any questions we had, and found Europcar to be very competitive with other companies. The gentleman who greeted us at reception was polite, friendly, and explained things well. He spoke great English, as well. It was very convenient being able to leave the car on a Sunday, and they were flexible with the drop off time. We drove from Oxford, to Birmingham, to Nottingham, to Leeds, to Yorkshire, to Liverpool, and back to Oxford with no issues of any kind. There were no hidden charges, and we paid exactly the amount we had been quoted over the phone. I have no hesitation recommending this company.

They were so helpful. The staff really helped me out to fix and extend my car rental even though I booked through an external car rental company. It was much appreciated after a family emergency that meant I had to re arrange my travel plans last minute.

Beware of these folks throwing in extra charges--like premium insurance package--without discussing it or making you aware that you don't need it. Follow up: Customer service resolved this issue after I posted my review here. And I'm very happy with the result.

Nice staff . The van was good to drive but it had no windscreen wash and so the windscreen wipers just didn't do anything to clear the smeared screen :(

I hire car's from here fairly regularly and it's my go-to for this area as it's much more professionally run than the Hertz round the corner. The staff are friendly and professional and don't rush you for things like checking the car before and after renting. I know some reviews on here mention extra charges on vehicle return - make sure you cover all the vehicle and take photos. Every car hire place does this! The only thing I would say about this place is registration is slow whilst they copy your details and the online check in doesn't work.

Been using europcar for the past 3-4 years, I found this branch the most helpful. Dan is always accommodating to my requirements and even the management come out to make sure your happy with your car and you understand everything. Having used many branches of europcar this is the one I always return to for that personal customer service and amazing selection of vehicles, even if they don't have what you want they will do there up most best to get what you want. Europcar branch in Oxford and the road side assistance support line saved us from potentially missing our international flight due to an untimely flat tire on our way back to returning the car. They are incredibly helpful we cannot thank them enough. Will definitely recommend Europcar to others and consider renting from them again the next time we travel to Europe or UK. They dispatched a van to send us to the rail station, we made the last train by 4 minutes and made our flight. They also took care of returning the car for me as well. The process was painless and all the personnels we have interacted with were very helpful!

I have always had a good experience with Europcar in Oxford over many years of renting with them. The staff are always cheerful and willing to help and any issues I have had with cars have been dealt with promptly. I can't comment much about Europcar in general but the Oxford branch is constantly fantastic. The staff are friendly and helpful, the prices are competitive and the car selection is what you'd expect. They have an out of hours key drop off and it's not far from the train station either. They always try to get me a car that suits at a good price.

I have hired cars of many occasions from this Europcar branch and I have always received great customer service. Their cars are recent and in very good condition. Prices are very competitive with the other car hire companies in Oxford, and the Europcar loyalty program (which is free to sign up for) is very much worth it.

Friendly staff, polite even though I'd declined to buy their insurance. The car was a Vauxhall Astra which after a couple of days we we did consider swapping for another model because the road surface noise on the motorway was loud, even at relatively low speed.

I have rented a car (twice) and a van (once) from this Europcar, mainly because I was happy their services before in the UK and Italy. However, the staff here was not as friendly, and on two occasions they had made mistakes with the card payment. This meant that a large amount was blocked from the wrong card. All this lead to a couple of unpleasant experiences.

We were late showing up to pick up the car at the Oxford location on a bank holiday and the office was closed already (we didn't really understand that the office would be closed at 4pm). Everyone in the office was super helpful and got us on our way to the Cotswalds. The car and remainder of the trip were great. We will continue to use Europcar and recommend it to others. I have ordered car delivery, but then they didn't send the car, and asked me to pick up the car until I called and ask. I was at home waiting for the car the whole morning. But after I returned the car, I called back and asked some questions, and their attitude is good except I had to wait for so long. Afterall, the car I rent is very new and clean.

Europcar is within walking distance of central Oxford. Especially important to me, they are open on weekends. My one-day rental went smoothly, with an easy pickup and return. They accepted my Canadian drivers license and passport and credit card. No hassles.

this company is very terrible, they took my money after I went back to my country, just said I drove 369 miles in one day without any evidence. I CANNOT DRIVE 369 MILES IN JUST ONE DAY AND ONLY SPEND 10 POUNDS FOR PETROL. If there is option for negative, I will not give even 1 star. [To update on this] I did try to contact with custom service, but no one responded, I believe something wrong with your employee training. In fact this trip was booked by a good broker, zhuzhuche, they helped me to get my refund so, I think I still need to thank you for this, and a big thanks to zhuzhuche.

Good vehicles and prices; convenient full-to-full fuel policy; bicycle storage available. I just wish, as with every other rental place, that there was less vagueness and obfuscation in their blatant upsell attempts on insurance options. Just show me a list like the website did so I can quickly confirm I've picked the right one and get going.

Great service By Europcar. We hired a car from Oxford and were returning it to Glasgow. We were originally going to rehire from there a few days later. The attendant (Warren) we returned the car to, was extremely helpful, and we ended up hiring the car for longer, and returning it to Oxford, mainly because of his level of service and help.

Europcar at Oxford is conveniently located. The staff were courteous and friendly, we were more than satisfied with the car we received as well as the explanation as to it's operation. The staff went out of their way to assist us with directions for our departure from Oxford.
