We booked a group paddle boarding session for this morning and had an absolutely amazing time. Marcus was an superb instructor and an expert guide!! We cannot recommend it enough! If we could give this 6 stars then I would’ve!!

Had an amazing time on the water with instructor George (hope I got the name right!). Felt safe at all times, and was given the opportunity to see a great deal of the estuary by Kayak, even as a total beginner. Did cut my hand on a sharp bit of plastic on the side of the Kayak we used, but it didn't ruin my experience.

Sam and Harry went all out to give us the best experience of paddle board and kayak hire we have had to date. They took our booking over the phone and realised it was one of our party members birthday. When we arrived for our two hour hire they had made us hot chocolate in a supersize thermos and lemon tart, and biscuits all packed into a waterproof picnic bag to take with us on our trip as a birthday treat. How lovely, we were delighted. They carefully advised about tides and currents and told us the way to the best beaches. We had a fabulous time. Ten out of ten to Sam and Harry. Thankyou guys.

Great afternoon out! Staff were lovely and helpful as we hadn’t been paddle-boarding in a while so were patient with us. Very pretty area to SUP and even managed to snorkel a bit I would recommend it especially for beginners as the water was calm (weather dependent too)

Beautiful location (see photos). Very good service, equipment, and launch spot. A bit expensive for a family of four, so a family rate would have been nice. But well worth it. Thank you, Marcus. Best wishes for good surfing this Fall/Winter.

Had a great time on the Estuary Tour yesterday. Brilliant family activity. The staff were all super helpful and accommodating. Three of us hadn’t kayaked before. Sam gave clear instruction and put us all at ease. We all now want to buy our own Kayaks! Highly recommend.

Best 2 hours spent on the water, the setting was beautiful, we had mixed ability in the group for SUP, Sam was a great tutor, if your looking for a SUP experience it's the place to go , a sheltered area, great to hone your skills ,and an added bonus, is when you fall off!!, it's a soft landing, in the sand , thank you Salcombe Watersports...I and my group loved it....nice one Sam

The windy road there is awe inspiring, defo take the Eastern of the roads, but excellent facilities, equipment and area. Clear instructions with a friendly vibe, sheltered area although flat calm today, food smelt amazing too as we walked back to car! Thankyou!

First time for my daughter and I on a Stand Up Paddleboard. Lovely setting (but do read the info about getting there). Marcus was very knowledgable and has a great way of explaining the details so we were up on the boards in no time. Fantastic couple of hours

Brilliant two hours paddling around the water. Marcus was really helpful and gave us a warm welcome. He even lent us some of his sun cream to save us walking back up to the car!! I would definitely recommend renting out SUP boards here to explore the hidden parts of the coastline! It was so peaceful and a lot of fun. Can’t wait to do it all again soon!

My two 16 year olds did a two hour paddleboard lesson up the estuary. We had glorious still water and no wind. I had to accompany them (by boat) since they are under 18 yrs. They loved it and the instruction and kit was all excellent quality. Instructors are very friendly and obviously extremely competent and experienced. Everything ran to time. We also did a 3 hour coastal kayak. The kids enjoyed that but we all found that quite alot harder.

Private paddleboarding lesson for 2 hours. Great instruction, and have gone from absolute novice to feeling comfortable and confident on the water. It's a lovely venue in a great location. The prices are really reasonable too, and offer fantastic value. Thanks so much folks.

Me and my wife had a paddle boarding lesson today with Marcus, excellent experience. Both beginners but stood up on boards within 5 minutes. Marcus is a really good teacher and nice guy. Would definitely recommend this place.

What a nice setting and such helpful staff. All the boards are high quality, mainly Red boards. These are really stable boards that track and glide well, allowing for swift progress. Had a lesson with Marcus who soon had me preforming step back/ surfer turns. If you're in the area and fancy trying paddle boarding them I would recommend this place.

A must for any visit to Salcombe! This is an amazing way to see the estuary, the water (in a superbly sun bathed later October afternoon) was crystal clear and warmer than expected. The Salcombe Paddleboard Company run out of a waterside location with everything that you could need. We booked a group lesson, which saw 12 of us take to the water. Safety was high on the agenda as was fun. As has been mentioned in other reviews Marcus is a top chap. Super friendly, knowledgeable and the perfect guide/instructor. We were all standing up in 10 minutes or less and loving every minute. We all took a small dip the the sea (to be read...falling off) but that just added to the fun! Highly recommended way to see the watery locale!

Went SUP at the end of March - beautiful weather so we thought we’d brave the cold water. We called only a day in advance and it turned out we were before the start of the season but Marcus was incredibly kind and helped us get on the water anyway. He couldn’t have been friendlier or more helpful, and if you’ve any questions I’m sure he’d be happy to answer. We didn’t have a lesson but can’t imagine a nicer teacher is out there.

Can’t recommend Salcome paddle boarding highly enough. We had a family lesson (10 and 13 year old) as it was our first time on the paddleboard’s. It has been the highlight of our holiday so far. It’s easier than it looks after some patient tutoring by Marcus and is something we will definitely be doing again as a family.
