Simply the best van hire place in the area, loads of history and family run, the new site is amazing with loads of waiting room and the staff remain as friendly and helpful as ever, great value and selection too

These guys are absolutely fantastic. No hidden charges. Simplistic pricing. Very fair prices and they have all the extras you might need to hire cheaply too such as furniture skates, removal blankets and sack barrows. I’ve used these guys for the last 4 years for 3 moves now. Everything is very simple and easy, they don’t try to up sell you like other rental places. They don’t charges ridiculous insurance prices, there are no insurance add ons, no mental excesses. It’s just as simple as it should be. Given how much of a nightmare moving can be, I always rely on these guys to be the straightforward part. They are the welcome breath of fresh air amongst the chaos. Thanks Hirus, great rental for the third time. See you again next time I move! 😁

After being recommended by a friends, this is by far the best van hire company I've used. Very simple to book, very low prices for one day use and low deposit. Very simple collection and drop off process. Would definitely use them again.

Good value, low mileage, decent quality van. Deposit returned quickly minus reasonable cost for excess mileage (200 miles is included in rental cost anything extra is 12p a mile). 24 return facility very useful as I returned van at about 23.30 so did not have the hassle of having to do it in the morning. Much better than Hertz Watford that I used the year before who gave me the worlds most dented rental van. Will definitely use Hirius again.

A great independent option for renting vans. Reasonably priced. Good service. Definitely recommend over the big national chains. You will need to book in advance (i.e. at least 5 or 6 days in advance) for busy days like a Saturday.

What’s nice about using Hirus, is they haven’t lost that Family business ethos. In my experience, they always go that extra mile to do you the best possible hire service and still retain that feeling of great customer service with a friendly smile. Personally, I wouldn’t use any other hire firm, as I’ve been there and done that and in my opinion, you’re not going to better the service you receive from Hirus.. When you’ve got a busy day ahead of you, the last thing you need is hassle from the van hire firm and Mark with his team at Hirus, take the stress out of hiring a vehicle.. Gutted to be sat outside their office for an hour now at the website says they open at 7am but the sign on their door says 8am. Been trying to get through on the phone for 2 days but it just sends you round in circles so you can't get anywhere. Wish I'd booked elsewhere. ETA: they did apologise and recompense my time. Changed 1 star to 3

Absolutely amazing value, simple straight forward no hastle whatsoever. I've used Horus for years now and service keeps getting better. Now added services like adding a hand truck and pallet trolley. Cheers to both the guys at Hirus.

Well they originally told me over the phone that the rental of a small Ford transit was £30.00 a day. However when I arrived they told told me it was £50. A day , they also told me that , yes I can get it for £30. PD but I have to rent it for 7 days. When I had phone the person handling the call knew that I only wanted for 2 days. I had to fork out £50. Because plans had been made for the day. Will I go back, no, actually the person serving me made me feel that I was telling porkies over the call I had made.
