L. L.We ordered a Group six car for our 4 big suitcases and 4 grown up's, as we arrived they had a nice Mercedes ready, but unfortunately the trunk was to small. The staff was so helpful and gave us a bigger car than we ordered a nice BMW 520 without any extra cost.
Unfortunately the windscreen was cracked by a small rock on our trip in Skye, but the staff was polite and nice anyway when we returned the car.
All paperwork and info was exellent all the time - price was reasonable 😊
We will recomend Celtic Legend /Arnold Clark and will definitely use the company again!

Cars are excellent, customer service is absolutely amazing, kind and reliable either online and at the Arnold&Clark branch. Rental price is really fair and better than in the vast majority of rental companies. Excess waiver is very cheap and honest as well, while in contrast in many other companies it is very expensive and sometimes unclear for the customers. Celtic Legend is and will be always my choice definitely. I highly recommend Celtic Legend in Scotland and in general Arnold&Clark in UK.

Everything went smoothly, from the booking (no need to pay in advance!) to pick up and return of the car. They gave us a car that was basically brand new and had a nice time with it. 0 problems, we'll choose them again whenever we come back for sure!!

Flawless, from the near instant pick-up at Edinburgh Airport to the out of hours drop-off and shuttle to the terminal at the end of the hire. I requested the Hyundai Ioniq hybrid this trip having enjoyed it previously and at 63.4 mpg over the course of two weeks it was a good choice again. Enjoyed much exploring and many adventures along the way with the grandkids and for peace of mind wouldn’t think of renting a vehicle anywhere else.

a.I reserved a rental car with Arnold Clark from the travel agency Celtic Legend Ltd for from 23 July to 30 July 2022 for my trip in mid-England. The rental price was a great reasonable one and found the condition of the rental car was very new and excellent, also Celtic's service was incredible. So I decided to extend the rental period to 7 August with Arnold Clark directly at an agreeded cost which was very acceptable. A day after, Celtic Legend sent an email to me about a reduced cost at Celtic Legend's bargain which was a surplus from Celtic Legend's wonderful services. I definitly will book the rental car with Celtic Legend/Arnold Clark for my next holiday. 😆
P. V.We needed a car for a week trip around Scotland. Although I wrote to them relatively late (only a week before we needed the car) and no small car was available in that time, Steve was very helpful and offered me a Citroen Berlingo van at a great price instead of small car. Van fulfilled its purpose well so we had a great trip. I can only recommend Celtic Legend.

Don't be distracted by the excellent rates and all the extras included in the cost; the service outshines all of that.
During the reservation process Willie and other staff went out of their way to provide extra information to get me too and from my accommodations and the best options for our itinerary; I'm talking pages of custom information. Picking up the car at the Sighthill office was a pleasure and Ben provided all kinds of great information from driving in Scotland to places to stop on our way north (House of Bruar was great - thanks!). Not to mention he set us up with a slightly smaller car, but an automatic, when our friends from England couldn't join us, at the original cost.

R. K.The rental company Celtic Legend Ltd / Arnold Clark does not have a desk at Edinburgh Airport and you need to ride a little over a mile to their office by their company bus.
The only problem we had was finding the right bus stop at Airport. Recommendation for the company to install some directional signs.
But when the bus was found, everything was very smootly and convenient - the rental company's bus took us to the office and the formalities went quickly. Our choice was the Toyota C-HR, with free navigation and cheaper full insurance than the other rentals. We were very satisfied. Recommended!

J. E.Brilliant experience hiring a car from Celtic Legend for our trip to the Scottish Highlands. All the staff I was in contact with were friendly and helpful, their prices were far better than anyone else at Edinburgh Airport and they even helped me save some money on the tram by letting me know I could get off a stop earlier.
We collected the car from Arnold Clark and this was straightforward and quick, the car was already waiting for us on arrival. We were also given a free upgrade to a BMW 5 series.

It was easy to catch the shuttle at Glasgow airport to go to the pick-up location and took no time to do the paperwork. D. G.Possibly one of the best experiences of renting anything that I've ever had! I rented a car for about 2 weeks while on holiday. Unfortunately, you don't get to choose the specific model, you can choose the class though, but I was greeted with an immaculate Ford Fiesta that was pleasant to drive.
When I was looking around, Celtic Legend had a "contact us" section where I explained all of my needs for the trip. They were able to explain everything options-wise and what they offered very clearly. Absolutely lovely staff and replies through email. Steve assisted me from the beginning and he is great! Picking up the car and returning it was a breeze. No problems at all and very easy! Their rates are mind-blowingly better than any other company—especially the international ones! They also have the option to pre-purchase petrol at a much better price than any of the stations in Scotland. It was £1.5 per litre compared to £1.7+. I would recommend them for anyone looking to rent, whether local or a visitor from another country. I definitely will go back to do business again with no hesitation.

Well worth a cheap, quick bag-filled taxi to suburb Sighthill to get auto, much easier than dense, wonky, Edinburgh driving and perilous parking (as we did later-caution: DON’T!) we returned car back early, agency staff was as nice as can be, and even we later appreciated the big “I’m a rental car” sign in the ubiquitous Arnold Clark logo, we think people were a bit more…cautious? Can’t wait to return!
K. K.I highly recommend using Celtic Legend Car Rental. Their customer service was OUTSTANDING, and they had the best prices. I dealt with a Steve Wallace, and he was so great to work with.
When I emailed them asking questions responses were received immediately which, was so helpful especially with the time difference I was dealing with.
After confirming my reservations several weeks later, I needed to make changes of the dates and pick up location and they were right on it within minutes which, was a relief as I was worried, I would not be able to get the car for additional days and/or pick up at a closer location.
The car I received was great and I had no issues. I even had to drop off at a different location or I would miss my flight and they were absolutely wonderful about it!
I was in Scotland for a wedding and several of us rented through them and we were all very satisfied with the vehicles and service we received.
I plan to make a trip back to Scotland and you just can't see enough in just one trip and I will definitely be using them again...

I rented a car for NC500 road trip (Corsa), during Easter, for the best price.. Booking process was simple and clear. They provided detailed & transparent information from booking till the return of the car. Despite I had booked for a wrong month and not realize till they called to pick the car on the booked date, they were soo kind to reschedule for free, eventhough it should have been very inconvinient for them to prepare the car for collection and cancel at the last moment. They also gave shuttle service from our hotel to the branch for the collection and pickup. Clear and prompt customer service!
The car was really great ( clean, good control and all auto features). With all the auto safety features in the car, it was soo fun to drive in such adventurous roads on NC500. I cannot wait to have another trip in Scotland!

We were able to confidently reserve the appropriate sized car for our needs (traveling with golf clubs can be a challenge). Access to the rental location from Edinburgh airport is super easy with their timely shuttle. Their personnel are wonderful to work with. And on top of all that, we ended up with a great little MG SUV with only 400 miles on it! Great experience all around! Any future trips to Scotland will certainly land us back at Celtic Legend!

And they always have the car they say they will have. I have heard horror stories from people using other car rental agencies. Celtic Legend is the ONLY company I will use. They also have exceptional customer service. I needed to pick up the car at an airport, and they had someone there to meet me and hand over the keys. With every interaction, whether through email or phone, the representatives are friendly, prompt, and helpful. Traveling can be stressful. Renting a vehicle doesn't have to be when you hire a reputable company that values their customers and takes pride in their service. Celtic Legend is the best!
L.From the beginning of our booking from France, to the drop on of the car in Armadale branch in Scotland until the end of our trip (and, unfortunately, a broken glass on our windscreen), everything was perfect with Celtic Legend LTD/Arnold Clark !
People was really nice at the office, our car was powerful (and colorful haha), the price was cheaper than all the other rental crmar company and everything about the assistance for our broken glass was done rightly (nothing to pay for that, included in the insurance).

When we flew into Edinburgh it was simple to navigate to the off-site car rental location via the train. The car was clean, newer, and had awesome gas mileage (which was key because we did lots of driving!). We will definitely use Celtic Legend again WHEN we return to Scotland!
J. S. S.The information previous to pick up the car was extremely detailed. Some minor problems when taking the car at Armadale. I paid for a full oil tank on returning the car (I do not recommend it). In fact, I paid for a 55 litres deposit (when the car had only 43. After the 4-day rental, I was payed back the difference, because I claimed for it).
The car was almost new (the same I have at home), completely clean and ready to drive. Some minor mistakes with GPS.
Unfortunately, I have no photos with it in the places I visited.
On returning the car at Seafield, It was a little confused, because there were plenty of Arnold Clarks in the same avenue.
In brief, good experience and fully recommended

The company picked us up at our rental in Glasgow and took us to the rental shop to pick up the car and it was upgraded from what we ordered. No problems on turn in in Edinburgh.

I have never had such a great customer service experience with any car rental agency as I had - totally by email - with Celtic Legend.
Reviewers on TripAdvisor strongly recommended that Americans traveling to Scotland contact Celtic Legend for great service and affordable pricing. And they were right. Our cost for a week's rental was 40% less than the rental I had booked through Costco (usually a low-price leader in my experience). We got an extra driver for free, GPS, and low rates on a dashcam.
Additionally, due to airline schedule changes, I had to make 3 changes to my reservation - 2 date changes and one change to the drop-off location. Liam, the representative I corresponded with, worked with me to keep the same cost as originally quoted. (I'm used to ANY change in a rental changing the rate - usually to my detriment, but Celtic Legend doesn't work that way.).
We have recommended the company to friends and family and will definitely use them the next time we visit Scotland (because you can't visit Scotland too many times).

Liam was incredibly helpful with making the reservation and finding us the appropriate vehicle (9 passenger van) to fit our needs. He made the process incredibly simple and was always responsive to our questions/needs (we weren't the easiest customers with a one-way rental and multiple drivers). The van we rented was brand new (we were only the second renters) and it was spotless upon pickup! We arrived in Edinburgh, called CL for a pickup and they were there in less than 5 minutes (about the same amount of time it took us to walk out to the pickup spot). The guys who picked us up were incredibly nice and assisted with loading our luggage. The check-in process was effortless thanks to Liam handling all of the required paperwork prior to our arrival. We returned the van to Glasgow and the process there was just as smooth - especially considering we returned it before the location opened. We called the courtesy phone and left a message with the location of the van, dropped the keys in the CL box and headed home. I've never had an easier experience with a vehicle rental. HIGHLY RECOMMEND Celtic Legend. Ask for Liam - he's a real Scottish gem!

The price was wayyy better than others I looked at. The car we got was clean, fairly new, and we had no trouble with it over the week we had it. When returning the car, the branch we were returning to was closed (due to the Queen's funeral) so Celtic Legend's customer service arranged for us to return it a day later at no extra cost. We also debated the car size due to luggage and they offered information and resources to help fit our needs. 4 passengers. 4 large duffles plus 4 backpacks and they suggested the category 6 large and we requested an automatic. It was the perfect size! It was clean, well maintained, good on gas, tires were great and car was not too large to drive on the narrow roads of Skye. Their prices were great with no hidden fees so don’t be fooled by comparisons! I can’t say enough good things about this company and highly recommend them! I missed my photo opportunity with the car at our B&Bs because we were so excited to see everything in your beautiful country but believe me when I say it was just as lovely as it was functional!

Since the cars have no spares, I put up £174 to have a mobile tire repair respond and replace the tire. We asked for a smaller car when booking, especially since we were now driving on the opposite side which is already stressful for us. The navigation system decided not to work very quickly into our drive and we were completely lost. Thankfully, we had a paper map with us from 20 years ago which got us to our destination. The following day and thereafter the navigation system worked. We still can't understand that one. All in all, I would definitely go with Celtic Legend again.

B. G.We arrived at the office early in the morning, and were immediately greeted by a representative who secured our information. Payment had been made in full prior to the trip.
The entire process of registration took no longer than 20 minutes. There was a long line that was forming as we left, however.
Our reservation included GPS, which I had presumed was a satellite feature included in the car. The car had no such feature, and we were handed a TomTom to use. The TomTom has maps loaded and does not give real time information. It also could not locate certain addresses, despite entering the postal code as recommended by the agent. This ended up being totally useless to us. We are fortunate that our cell phone carrier does not charge for international data usage. We ended up using google maps for the majority of the trip.
We rented a standard transmission and had no issues with performance. It had great pick up speed for merging onto highways if necessary. It got great gas mileage, and we only needed to add fuel twice, traveling well over 500 miles on our two week trip.
A couple things to note: we tried calling the agency from the airport, but our call was not answered. The suggested in-airport phone is NOT easily found, and we needed to ask a guard to direct us to it. It is NOT clearly marked, so save yourself the time of looking and ask for directions to the phone.
The call from the airport phone was answered immediately. We were directed to the shuttle pick up, and the private shuttle quickly transported us with our luggage to the car pick up office. It was a very smooth transition.
If you need to return the car during "off" hours, the car is dropped off at the next door agency. We did have to push a buzzer to get someone to open the gate for us at 5:30am.
Also, transport to the airport is via a full sized bus, and you are responsible for getting your luggage on and off the bus. There is no charge for the bus transport, which drops you off relatively near the airport entrance.
The one downside to the car was that there was a lingering "smoke" smell inside, which we did not notice until the second day. It seemed to increase as the time went on. We spent a lot of driving with the windows cracked open in order to tolerate it.
That seems to be an issue with many rental car companies, as apparently people who smoke don't follow the rules that are clearly marked.
Now that we know the "ins" of pick up and drop off, we would not hesitate to use Celtic Legend again. It was a relief knowing that we would not be responsible for any type of damage to the car, but we never had any issues that would have warranted a claim.
A. T.By far, the best experience I’ve ever had renting a car. The communication leading up to my trip was efficient, friendly, and extremely helpful as I was traveling from a different country. Once I was on site to check in, the friendliness of the staff was second to none. They didn’t try to upsell me on anything and made sure the car was in order prior to driving off the lot. The best part? The price was HUNDREDS of dollars cheaper than any other rental company. I’ll never rent from anyone else in Scotland.

A very courteous agent picked us up in Glasgow and drove us several miles to their renal location which was located in a perfect place for a first-time left-side driver to embark. L.When I booked the reservation I was informed that the rental agency was at the airport. When I arrived at the airport there weren't any signs and no one I spoke with had heard of Celtic Legend car rentals. It took at least an hour to sort out and locate a number to call. The person who answered the call was very pleasant and informed me that she would pick me up in a shuttle van at "area 1" (again, no signs). After wandering around the airport parking lot for 15 min or so I called again and was informed that the company was "not permitted" to post signs. I eventually found the van (was lucky). When I arrived at the agency (5-7 minute drive and not Celtic Legend), the assistant seemed to be distracted and in a hurry. A second assistant took over who was pleasant, polite, knowledgeable, and had a good sense of humor. The car was a hybrid, reliable, and mid-size. When I returned the car at the end of the week I was charged a surcharge (20%) for not filling up the gas tank - this was the first time I was informed that I was supposed to return the car with a full (rather than 3/4 full) tank of gas. The manager wasn't helpful or understanding in the slightest. Given my experience I would not rent again from this company. However, I would recommend that the assistant who processed my paperwork be given a raise.

The Arnold Clark location in western Edinburgh was extremely convenient with only a five minute walk from the local rail line. The check-in took approximately 20-30 minutes. Through all our changes including late notice change of drop off other than pickup location. All responses well within 24 hours which given the 8 hour time zone difference was refreshing. No hidden charges, no deposit and easy paper work at pick up and drop off. Excellent prices we'll below any I could find even in my dealer direct searches.

C. W.One of the best rental car experiences I've ever had...with one caveat.
We took a short trip to Scotland and booked in advance. The car was nice. Newer Vauxhall. Shifted smooth as silk. It had a slight 'rash' on one side from a swipe, which the rental agent actually pointed out to me! Otherwise in perfect condition. I made sure to return it in the same condition.
Every person with whom I dealt was professional and open. Nothing but good to say there.
Now, the caveat...the car's built-in GPS system. For whatever reason the GPS just would not work accurately. We got lost half a dozen times with it. You've probably seen the occasional "directed to the middle of nowhere" glitch on a GPS, right? If it happens once, it's okay.
More than 5 times though, something's wrong. Really wrong.
Steve at Celtic Legend did try to help with that, offering us a portable GPS unit if we could go pick one up. Unfortunately, by that time, we'd already reached the end of our (short) stay in Scotland. Instead we changed our plans and used Google Maps.
Were it not for the GPS havoc, this would be a five-star review. If you're considering them for a rental, just check your GPS before leaving the agency, and go have fun!

If we really have to find a small flaw, it was a little lack of clarity about the International Driver Permit: we were told about a week before our rental that those who did not have a driving license in English language would need an IDP. Since our driving license is not in English language, we immediately started the procedures for the request. After asking for further explanations, we cleared up and were told we didn't need it. The team at Celtic Legend rebooked my rental at the same price originally quoted with no problems. The rental car was obtained from Arnold Clark near the Edinburgh Airport without a hitch. Arnold Clark sent a shuttle to our hotel and drove us to the rental car center where we were greeted with smiles and appreciation. Because we had two suitcases and 2 golf travel bags we required an SUV, which was perfect for the trip. The car was a Vauxhall Grand X automatic and air conditioning, and the rental included GPS and a second driver. Additional insurance was purchased at a reasonable price and the rental included unlimited mileage. The car performed flawlessly and was very comfortable. After being ripped off by one of the big rental car companies on a trip to Scotland in 2018, I would definitely recommend booking any car rental in Scotland through Celtic Legend. Everything about the experience was perfect.

We needed two cars covering our 5 week tour of the UK, to be picked up and dropped off at widely different places. The cars themselves were provided by Arnold Clark Rental, but the contracts were there, waiting for us, with every detail exactly as already approved and agreed by email with Celtic Legend. I should add that the booking website also works perfectly.
There was no booking fee, the amount paid on pickup was exactly as agreed, and importantly, there were no hidden or additional charges. The Arnold Clark staff 'on the ground' were unfailingly friendly and efficient to deal with.
There was one particular in which the cars differed from what had been agreed. In both cases they were a significant upgrade from our expectations in both power and luxury, with no additional charge. These cars made light work of the winter driving conditions we often encountered.
We are grateful to Celtic Legend and Arnold Clark for a very successful and pleasant tour of Britain.

E. D.Great experience renting through Celtic Legend for a vehicle in Manchester this October. The vehicle was provided by Arnold & Clark. Making the reservation through Celtic Legend was very easy and they responded quickly and thoroughly to all e-mail correspondence. The staff at Arnold & Clark at the Manchester location was extremely friendly and helpful and the airport pick up was very easy. If you're not from Europe or the UK, just make sure you can use your telephone as you'll need to call Arnold & Clark upon arrival to get the shuttle van sent over. The only issue we had was on the return. If you are returning on a weekend, make sure you get the code to the entrance gate before you arrive. The rental location is situated in a business park and the entry gate is closed on the weekends. Otherwise, using Celtic Legend could not have been easier. Highly recommend if you're renting a car in Manchester.

In terms of communication, they were always quick and efficient and thanks to the booking made with them I was able to leave the car in a different dealership from the pick-up one. Highly recommended and if I return to Scotland I will certainly rent with them again.

La procedura di consegna auto è stata piuttosto lenta poiché la segretaria non sapeva bene come inserire i dati sul computer.
