Having had a bad experience at a dealer in Warwick yesterday, we tried TMS in Leicester. So glad we did, the experience was completely different, it was excellent. When we arrived we were greeted promptly and had a look around while we waited to be seen, which was pretty quickly. Aaron was the representative who dealt with us. After initially showing us the vehicle in the showroom, he took time to listen to what we wanted, considered our part exchange and got a figure for it. He then produced a quote based on our initial deposit choice. The figures were a little high, so he helped steer us towards our goal. Using his experience, we quickly arrived at a spec and price that was close to our expectations. He then showed us a car that was of equivalent spec (all but engine), pointing out the main features. We asked if he'd like to view our part-ex, which he did, while we were outside. We asked about booking a test drive of a car with the same engine and he asked if we had a little time now. About 15 mins later we were driving in a very similar car to the one we liked. On return, he was not pushy, instead just letting us know when he'd be in, should we return to make a purchase. Aaron was friendly, helpful and courteous throughout. This was exactly the experience we were looking for investigating a car to purchase. Highly recommended.

Saw my new Volvo XC40 Recharge T5 Hybrid while waiting for a service, it was just waiting for me to arrive. I spoke to the salesman, Andy, told him I didn't think I could afford it, but could he run some figures passed me just in case. No problem. After an hour of in depth chatting I bought it. Andy couldn't have been more helpfull, he tried all sorts of combinations of finance without once believing I was a lost cause. On the day I picked up the car Andy and Ali gave me a thorough review of how it all worked and arranged for the dash cam to be taken out of my old car and refitted into the new one. I had a call back from Andy two days later to see if there were any problems and there weren't of course, what service, well done Andy Green and Volvo.

Phoned Tms Leicester on Tuesday 4th April to have my service oil lights readjusted. Due to Covid and this reason only I decided not to travel and made a difficult decision to have my D5 S90 R-Line serviced in Market Harborough with a private Garage . Big mistake there was to much oil put into my car and service lights not adjusted correctly. I spoke to the service manager Bevan . A absolute gentleman I asked if I could bring my car in today as I was very concerned and always a loyal customer to Volvo i explained away my valid reasons for not having my car serviced . With Volvo Bevan invited me in on the same day had my car inspected and corrected all the problems. All I can say is TMS Volvo and especially Bevan absolute professionals and very caring and compassionate towards there customers .

I bought a car over the internet/phone. I was really pleased with the professionalism of the salesman (Jake). I arrived at the dealership last Saturday and the car was sitting ready to go. The sales people really looked like they worked as a team and not the traditional image of pushy car salesmen. They were very thorough in showing me the car I had bought (it was 8 months old) and checking in my old car. I had been looking at cars all over the country and Sturgess were by far the most pleasant to deal with. I am absolutely delighted with the car. One of the first things I always do is take the dealer stickers off a new car however (maybe as a sign of how pleased I am) the Sturgess stickers will stay on for as long as I own it. I will have no hesitation in returning there in the future, despite the 4 1/2 hour drive, and more than happy to recommend them to a prospective new purchaser.

There was a few issues with the car and these were raised via the online contact email form which, was picked up late one evening by Oliver Hallows, Director who responded straight away. I am giving 4 stars purely because of the excellent customer care and support given by customer care manager Vikki Bull. So long as she is looking after customers, I will consider Sturgess again. If it wasn't for Vikki, it would have been -4 stars. With regards to sales staff Omar and James, they have little knowledge of the cars and are not afraid to just lie in order to get business. They are also experts in not responding to customers once they have had your business. Bought a used XC90 3 months ago, the car in itself is great and I am pleased with my choice and the price. Sales staff told me car is ready to go and when I arrived after 3 hours train journey, it wasn't even valeted and had small issues which the sales experts Omar and James were happy to call out as "design". Anyway, I was promised it will all be sorted in a day and since I had paid the deposit, I decided to wait. Another train journey and at least this time the car was clean and had a full tank as promised but the cosmetic issues remain. The parcel shelf was missing and I was promised that Omar will deliver in person, I thought to myself ...what a great guy :-) Problems arose when I realise hand brake was non responsive, parcel shelf was no where to be seen after 6 weeks and the trims have started to come off even more. I contacted Vikki Bull who has been superb and got me in touch with my local Volvo who sorted everything. Vikki stayed in contact and made sure the car was fixed to my satisfaction. I can only hope that Omar and James represent a one off and not a reflection of wider staff at Sturgess who I am sure do a great job every day. All said car is running great and I am pleased with the purchase, thanks to Vikki at Sturgess and Owen at CliveBrook Huddersfield, I will be considering Volvo as mine and Mrs' next car but I will be sure to do even closer inspection this time around.

Sturgess saved the day! Last Thursday I picked my new XC40 up from a Volvo dealership out of Leicester, but on the way home as I joined the motorway the break warning light indicated that I should pull over safely. Surely this must be a sensor fault I thought, but my first port of call on arriving in Leicester was Sturgess, better be safe than sorry. The extremely helpful and competent staff at Sturgess confirmed that: The break fluid level light on the dash was on. The brake fluid level was too low for a car that had only done 40 miles. The union joint was leaking. I was given an excellent cup of coffee, driven home and the faulty part of the engine was removed, inspected, rebuilt and tested, and by tea time I had collected my brand new car, again! What could have been a very disappointing day, indeed a disastrous one, was rectified by the very obliging staff at Sturgess eager to make the first day as a new Volvo owner memorable for all the right reasons. I can recommend Sturgess of Leicester for their friendly, helpful and efficient service.
