Ally fitted some beautiful alcove storage in our kitchen-diner earlier this year. He took a great deal of care to discuss our needs - including different price options - and accommodate our requests. He completed the job on time and to an extremely professional standard. The shelves fit perfectly and the cabinets, which have drawers with lovely recessed ply handles and adjustable shelves, have made all the difference to our storage. We would definitely recommend Halls Workshop - Ally is very approachable and clearly an accomplished craftsman.

Ally built an under stairs cupboard for us in February 2020 which consists of pull out shelves for shoes, hanging space for coats and bags and storage space for our hoover. It is absolutely perfect - he did a fantastic job and we are very pleased with it. He succeeded in making the cupboard fit in with the existing Victorian panels, and he designed it all according to our specifications. Ally is incredibly diligent and conscientious. We would thoroughly recommend him.

What to say! We wanted some bespoke tables for our meeting room and teaching space and contacted Ally at Hall's Workshop. The whole process from initial discussions, to design to communication through the build process and the installation were absolutely top class. Absolutely love the work that Ally did in my kitchen. Not only has it given me more storage and worktop space but it’s actually made my kitchen look a lot bigger. The oak worktop matches perfectly to my existing worktop and the valchromat in light grey has added a nice contrast to the wood. He provides a professional service and a smiley face! Great service throughout, Alasdair did an amazing job designing/ manufacturing and installing my alcove storage units. The final product came out even better than I could of imagined, the level of detail and craftsmanship is incredible, especially as all the walls and floors in the property were very uneven. Would defiantly recommend to anyone looked for high end carpenter at a reasonable price.

Ally Hall just made and fitted a floor to ceiling Pantry cupboard incorporating a fridge /freezer unit with cheery wood veneer finish. It is cut into an awkward corner of my kitchen and fitted to out of square walls. It looks fantastic but best of all it blends so well with the rest of the kitchen you’d have thought it had always been there. Ally took care of all the little details like the ventilation and plugs. We hired Hall's workshop to do a fair few bespoke jobs for us in the house (under stair storage unit, boiler cupboard, built in wardrobe, alcove shelves). Everything was fantasic. Ally and his team were extremely professional and respectful of our space. We were especially impressed at how well they managed mitigating risk in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, minimising time in our house. The work itself is really beautiful, with solid wood and Ally had a keen eye for design and functionality. We would heartily recommend Hall's to anyone!

He managed to take our poorly defined description and terrible drawings and somehow turn them into exactly what we hoped for! Ally did an amazing job with our bathroom. He ripped out the old bathroom, helped design the new one. Levelled the wonky Victorian floor, put in a new window and a whole new bathroom suite, as well as fitted cupboards and various other bits of woodwork. It looks amazing and we couldn't be happier.
