Jon and his team were excellent from start to finish. The renovated sash windows live up to his promises. The communication from Jon was excellent, informing us of alterations that were required along the way. the Windows look excellent and the rooms are now much quieter and warmer. Wish I had found Jon before using another Cardiff based sash window repair company to renovate other windows, there is no comparison in the superior quality of Jons work at a similar price.

As an update to the below, Jon also really kindly came and sorted out an issue with our window (which he didn’t cause), at short notice. Top guy. Highly recommend!! Jon has draught proofed and made functional 7 original sash windows in our house. He was easy to communicate with throughout, gave a very reasonable quote, arrived and finished on time, and has done a fantastic job: since the work, all the windows work perfectly, and draughts and noise have been hugely reduced. We are delighted with the work and would recommend Jon to anyone.

Jon repaired 4 old sash windows for us, including replacing old rotten sections of frames, installing new cords, locks and handles. The results are amazing! We were searching for a cost-effective way to renovate our sash windows and were impressed by Jon's assurance that he could achieve good sound- and draught-proofing without the need for expensive double glazing or sound attenuating glass. The results live up to his promise. For roughly half the cost of some of the other quotes we had, we now have rooms that are significantly quieter and more energy efficient. I had a few quotes for renovating my period sash windows. I’m glad I chose Jon’s company. They did an excellent job turning windows that were in a desperate state to be smooth and draft-free. The system Jon installed allowed for easy access to the windows for cleaning and painting inside and out. I contacted Jon as the sills of my sash windows needed some attention. We had the option of replacing or repairing the sills. On examining the windows Jon gave his honest opinion and concluded that the sills were in pretty good condition apart from a few small rotted areas. In his view the window sills needed some attention in terms of stripping the existing paint, filling some rotted wood and painting with a quality oil based paint. A few more years could be achieved from the existing windows without undertaking a major overhaul. I appreciated his honesty - and, clearly, he possessed significant knowledge and experience on sash windows. I will certainly contact Jon again when the windows require further attention and more major work.

Jon did an excellent job of replacing my sash windows within the original frames, giving me double glazing whilst honouring the architecture of my house and maintaining the original stained glass. He was reliable, clean workers and a real pleasure to have in my home. And I hate having people in my home!! Last year he returned to remove parts of the sills where they were starting to rot and cut in new wood. You can't see the joins and he actually came in below his quote because he didn't need to do as much work as he had first thought. Honest, skilled and reliable. Can highly recommend.
