I have just moved house and needed quite a few wee jobs done, new window handles fitted, pulley restrung, new hinges put onto a few kitchen cupboards and doors shaved to accommodate new carpets and locks out on a few doors. I also have a very old front and original beautiful front door that I thought I’d have to have replaced for security reasons but John managed to sort the security issues so that I could hold onto the door. Friendly and very tidy. Would definitely recommend

Having recently bought a flat in dunfermline, I was looking for a joiner who could do various small jobs for me, such as: trimming doors for carpets, 're fixing window surrounds, fixing a door i "broke" after looking to see if it was a "boarded up" 4 panel door (it wasn't), putting up heavy shelves etc. After having various folk not reply to me, and one or two come and see the place (and then not get back to me), I came across John's company. He came to have a look, got back to me with a price pretty quickly, came the following week and did all the wee jobs, and to a great standard! Being new to the whole house buying (and subsequent renovating) it was a bit daunting looking for tradesmen, so it was nice to find such a trustworthy friendly guy as John. Thanks for everything! - I'll likely the in touch regarding other things when I get further down the line in the renovations! Alan

John is an honest, fair priced gentleman joiner, he was meant to be on holiday (cancelled) when I phoned to ask about renewing skirting in our bedroom, he advised best way but also gave alternative options for what we needed, arrived the following day to carry out the job and on finding my husband has MS went above and beyond what was quoted for, he lifted the carpet and put it back so my husband wouldn't trip on it till new one is fitted, removed gripper and even moved our bed for us to ensure I didn't do it, he also fixed a door in our kitchen and wouldn't charge any extra. Excellent lovely clean job carried out, well priced and would highly recommend John to anyone needing joinery or building work done

John did a fantastic job of replacing some rotten exterior woodwork on the conservatory for me. All freshly cut, finished and weather proofed, and for a very reasonable price too. Went above and beyond, recommending how best to upkeep the woodwork, kindly fixing my dodgy lock and when the outdoor tap was needed, even fixed up it’s leaky pipe! I couldn’t recommend this business more - John is totally helpful, cheerful, reliable and good value. I’ll certainly be using him again whenever I’ve got jobs to be done, as well as recommending to family and friends.

Called John up in a total state at 9pm on a Friday night, right in the middle of a Scotland England match, and he was at my door without a single complaint. He had my jammed door fixed in no time and the amount he charged was next to nothing for an emergency call out service. Definitely having him back to do more work for me on future. His quote for the work he done...replacing sliding wardrobe doors..was reasonable and he even fixed a couple of squeaky floor boards that had been annoying me for years!.
