We are really pleased with the work Nigel has done in our house to replace all the internal doors ant a very reasonable price. Nigel was punctual in coming round to review the job and the estimate was with us the same evening. He turned up when he said he would and was very neat and tidy in his work. Communication throughout was excellent, Nigel was punctual when visiting to measure up for a quote and was on time on the day of the fitting. I needed a new internal door fitting and a local locksmith recommended Nigel at Door Doctor South West Ltd. I contacted Nigel and he agreed to contact me the following week to arrange a visit. He called, we agreed a time and he turned up on time. He quickly assessed the job (a previous door had been removed and all traces plastered over). Using his manuals, he quickly sourced a door matching the other doors in the flat, took measurements and promised to send me an estimate the next day. On the way out I mentioned problems with the entry door to the flat. He quickly diagnosed a faulty lock and immediately agreed to my request to provide a replacement lock and matching handles. The next day as promised I received an email with a detailed and itemised quote which I accepted immediately by email. He replied immediately and promised to call once he obtained the necessary parts. Three working days later, Nigel called and we agreed that he would carry out the work the next day, starting around 1700hrs On the day, Nigel arrived a little late - the weather was atrocious and traffic bad. I said I was content to reschedule but he was happy to continue. He carried out the work carefully, methodically and considerately. I was very pleased with the results. Throughout I found him to be polite, friendly and patient and I have no hesitation in recommending his services.

Nigel came back to fit our upstairs doors, and was excellent once again. Despite icy conditions, he arrived as arranged. This time he sourced the doors for us and brought them with him, and for a good price. Every door frame is different in our house, but this was not a problem for Nigel, and he even sorted out the door frame that I put in! Overall, a great job!

Nigel at Door Doctors was excellent throughout the job. He fitted the oak veneer doors we’d bought for our old property and every doorway was different. He even fitted one door that another carpenter said was impossible to fit in the doorway. Very professional and a lovely guy. We really hope Nigel will be able to do some more carpentry jobs for us!

Door Doctor sorted the lot for a really competitive price. We would have done it ages ago had we known how easy it could be. we have used Nigel for many years when requiring any carpentry skills. Always on time, clean, good value, and the attention to detail is second to none recently refurbed our house Nigel replaced every architrive in the house as well as all the Taurus skirting boards and fitted every internal oak door 7 in total the finish exquisite so pleased with the finish from ironwork handles and brass fitting hinges can't recommend enough. After Nigel’s first visit to fit a new internal door plus lock – with no fuss about the irregular-shaped door frame – I had no hesitation in asking him back to fit an additional front door lock and perform some external door maintenance. The way he quickly removed and “doctored” three old doors that had been sticking (all of them glazed, so difficult to handle) makes me wish I’d called him years ago… but what will I kick now?!

Nigel came and re-hung a tricky internal door for us. The door wasn't straight and neither was the frame but he did a fantastic job of it. Nigel replaced an old door with a new uPVC one (complete with cat flap_, and also worked some magic on other doors which needed adjustment. This is the second job he's done for us, and we can't recommend him highly enough. His work is excellent, and he left everything neat and tidy. The cat is delighted to have her own door again!
