What a super place, I learnt more about woodwork and tools in the 1st hour than I ever did in 6 years at school many years ago.
Martin is a great guy, explains everything in simple terms, it was a pleasure to listen, watch and do.
Using real rustic wood and hand tools, not a electric saw, lathe or drill to be seen.
Can't wait for the next session.

One of my favourite places in Nottingham! An amazing space with beautiful and kind hearted people. A great space to meet people, learn skills, make projects come to life and feed your soul. This wholesome environment is truly an inspiration.

A lovely and peaceful space to work in, perfect location too. Martin is an excellent instructor, and it is clear that he has a genuine love for the craft. Also, all the tools you'll need are provided - I'd definitely recommend this workshop to others.

This has become one of my favourite places in the world.
I've taken part in the relief carving and stool making workshops, and used the space and tools to work on some personal projects, and they've all been such lovely experiences. Martin is an endlessly encouraging and patient teacher, and an all-round fantastic person.
I love spending time here, and I'd recommend it to anyone as the ultimate soul food.

Wonderful day spent attending a workshop. Perfectly paced and amazing what can be achieved in a day - whatever your skill level. Highly recommended. Thank you.

Great day stool making. Great teacher, obviously with many years experience and knowledge. Particularly liked some of the history of wood working snippets. Lovely location as well. Recommended.

Took part in the stool making workshop and it was incredible. Martin is such an amazing, patient and knowledgeable teacher who has a passion woodwork. I enjoyed all aspects of the day, from learning about the different tools we would be using and their origins, all the different steps to making our own stool, getting to use the beautiful space he has created and also being encouraged to get creative with our own stool designs. If you get a chance to try any of the workshops they run please do! You won't regret it :] Can't wait to learn more and make more things :] Thanks again!!!

Absolutely awesome concept of the family learning together and having a hands on fun time. We were on the 2.5 hours family workshop.
The set up was complete and safe even for my 4 year old! Tools and work benches were set out for many participants to work alongside each other. Plenty of different tools to work with. Martin shared ideas of potential wood work. The right balance between getting us novices started while giving enough encouragement to our creativity.
The studio has a space upstairs where little ones can play with toys if they get tired. Tea, coffee and snacks were made available.
All in all, great opportunity to lose oneself in making a hand made wooden momento. Much recommended!

Attended a relief wood carving course here the other week. Absolutely brilliant place, I would recommend it to anyone and will certainly be continuing to wood carve in my own time as well as looking for future courses here.
