Marcus came to the holiday let we were staying in (Windmere) to cook for my Dad’s 60th birthday. I’ve never used a private chef before and would probably only use Marcus again - that’s how great it was. Communication from Marcus was clear and proactive, we didn’t make any changes to the lovely menu but wouldn’t have felt that it would have mattered if needed too. We fancied a bit of a break in between courses which Marcus was happy to enable (we had a 4 year old in tow, so this helped massively!) The lamb was superb and if I could eat the sticky toffee pudding for every meal until the end of time I probably would! Was great to have Marcus with us - thanks for a great evening. Would recommend 100% - great food, great quality and reasonably priced.

Marcus helped deliver a spectacular weekend in the western lakes recently, including amazing evening meals, (Lebanese chicken and the slow cooked lamb confit especially tasty), whilst also packing us off each morning with a great assortment of lunches we could enjoy out and about with the kids. Breakfasts were equally delicious and we had to extend the walks just so we were ready for the next meal :-) Thank you for helping to make it such a memorable weekend Marcus, you went above and beyond to do so, and we will be sure to think of you next time we are looking for a friendly but thoroughly professional, 5 star service next time we are back in the lakes. Catch you again sometime!

Wow wow wow! Thank you Marcus for being so fantastic catering for our event at Silverholme Manor, Graythwaite estate. I arranged a surprise 50th weekend for my husband and all of our family & friends. The menu was delicious…. Lebanese chicken, succulent beef, crusty homemade bread, salads, quiche, pate. It was all delicious with nothing left over!! Such a professional yet friendly service. Would wholeheartedly recommend.

We hired Marcus to cook for us in our holiday home in Windamere. 4 adults. Communication up to the event was timely and detailed. On the night Marcus was lovely, the food was incredible. He left the place tidier than when whe arrived. Truly splendid, a lovely personable chap. Would highly recommend to add a special something extra to your holiday or event.

Marcus did a fantastic job of being our personal chef for our hen do evening. Cooking a delicious meal for 12 of us, everything tasted amazing, looked great and there was lots of food, very good value for money. I was pleased with the detailed menu supplied beforehand, allergies were catered for and Marcus was fun to have there on the night. A big thank you from us all!

Marcus from real food chefs really helped me out for my husbands birthday. I had originally booked with another company who pulled out at the last minute leaving me with no private chef 4 days before my husbands 40th birthday. At short notice, Marcus helped me to make a bespoke menu for my husband which was far better than the original menu! He talked me though all the options and we came up with the menu together. He was flexible and accommodating to my requests. On the day Marcus arrived on time and brought all his equipment and food. He was very professional but friendly and approachable at the same time. The food was really good. All 6 courses were delicious especially the lamb! Marcus was present throughout the dinner and busy in the kitchen but was discreet at the same time. We had a fabulous meal and also enjoyed all the leftovers Marcus left us with the following day!

Marcus cooked an amazing dinner for 8 adults whilst we were staying in a holiday house in Coniston to celebrate a family birthday. Marcus is a very friendly, fun and polite person, making us all feel relaxed whilst remaining extremely professional. Communication with Marcus was excellent throughout, from him taking the booking, planning and to the evening itself. He cooked us a fabulous 3 course meal, as well as setting the table and cleaning up afterwards. Marcus is a very talented chef and we’d definitely recommend him.

I booked with real food chefs for my sisters hen party for 15 people. Communication with Marcus was very good and even after a delayed start he kept us updated. Food was incredible, all hens & bride loved all courses, even the bride who had no idea what she was having (Thanks Marcus for the recommendations). We had Marcus from real food chefs to cook an amazing 3 course meal for my husbands 40th birthday surprise at a house we hired in cockermouth! There was 15 of us in total. Marcus made the whole process smooth and straight forward to organise and communication was brilliant throughout. The food was delicious and presentation thought out. He catered for all diets. Two members of our party were both gluten free and vegan and my brother still cannot get over how the bread was the best he has ever had - which is tough to find when you are gluten free! Our friends all messaged to say how incredible the food was and it really was. Marcus was friendly and fun. Georgia came with him to waitress and she did a great job! Thank you Georgia! They both cleaned the kitchen afterwards like they had never been there. Top night, top food, top chef. If you need any outside catering look no further than Marcus!

Real Food Chefs came highly recommended to us after our Head Chef at the Grove Arms didn't return after his days off. Marcus calmed us all down as he took full control of our 7 strong brigade and turned things around quickly and efficiently. Our food went from being quite average to outstanding in a matter of days. Our issues with the business were ironed out and we thankfully have turned things around. i will finish this with a big thumbs up to Real food Chefs , Marcus knows his stuff for sure

We had an excellent experience with Marcus cooking a meal for our family of 7 last year for a special birthday meal. Marcus took time to find out what dishes and food we enjoyed and made 3 separate starters and 3 different main courses with a choice for dessert too. He prepared a lot of things before he arrived and cooked it in our kitchen. He was very comfortable to have around and the quality and quantity of food was top class and there were leftovers for the next day. He really made our evening and it meant that we were able to enjoy the company rather than slaving and stressing cooking. He left us shortly after completing the desserts and cleaned the kitchen to the state it was in before he arrived. Would highly recommend him and would use again in a flash .

Marcus came to my friends hen do to cook for 8 of us, we had hired a beautiful house in Cockermouth & on arrival we’re told we had no electric. It was 3pm and we were promised it’d be on by 4, hours past and still no electric. I rang Marcus @ 5:30 to ask if he could come Saturday instead of Friday as I could see no way of him cooking. He told me to calm down and he will do whatever he possibly could to be able to cook this dinner, it was a surprise for my friend first off and one of our main plans for the weekend. He asked if we could source a bbq or gas cooker, thankfully I asked around at caravans near by (how desperate, but needs must). Pure luck a couple had a gas cooker and agreed to let us use it. Marcus arrived and cracked on, outside on a gas cooker!! He kept his word and made sure we had our night. The electricity came on at 8ish but by this time he was already in the middle of cooking and kept on the cooker and took advantage inside for the next course. THE FOOD WAS UNREAL!!! We had empty plates, zero complaints & full belly’s. He was a nice host he came with a drink for us, cleared our plates & loaded the dishwasher ensuring we didn’t have to think about this. He was worth every single penny & I’d book this service a million times over, especially with the drama of cooking for 8 without a cooker, god only knows how he kept his calm haha. 10000% recommend flawless food and service We recently hired marcus for a hen party this weekend in a large house in keswick we had a power cut and marcus still pulled it out the bag and ended up providing us with the full menu made entirely on a bbq ! The food was amazing and probably one of the nicest steaks i have ever eaten if you are thinking of booking marcus please do as you will not be disappointed !

Marcus absolutely nailed it, and provided the perfect meal for the last night of a great stag do. Marcus responded quickly to my enquiry and to any messages sent after. The food suggested (steak & chips + range of puddings) was spot on - 14 very hungry lads were well fed and the meat was unbelievable! Marcus was well organised and was set up in no time, interacting well with the group whilst cooking. Would absolutely recommend and would definitely choose again. Great value for money and superb quality - saved going out to a pub!

We booked Real Food Chefs to help celebrate my wife’s birthday with a small dinner party. Marcus and Davis were warm, friendly, the food was fantastic and the kitchen was left sparkling clean. From our initial booking Marcus offered a brilliant menu with lots of variety and kept us up to date in the run up to our event about the great local produce he’d be using, which was a really nice touch. On arrival Marcus and Davis were so friendly, we felt instantly comfortable having them there. They were there to answer any questions and tell you about the food, but not intrusive and never too much. The main event, the food, was phenomenal and was incomparable to our other experiences with private chef hire. The flavours were well balanced, food beautifully cooked and well presented…so good I forgot to take any pictures! As a meat eater, I’m always reluctant to try my wife’s vegetarian dish, however the vegetarian wellington was so tasty I had to try it a couple of times. At the end of an amazing three courses, I headed to the kitchen, nervous of what I’d find and to my complete surprise the kitchen was tidier and cleaner than Marcus had fount it, crazy considering he’d prepared so many different dishes for each course. Thank you again for a lovely evening, we will be booking Real Food Chefs again soon.

Booked Marcus for a birthday BBQ. Good contact all the way through from booking until the day, menu was sent in advance . Arrived on the day and set up in the garden had all the equipment needed and even in the rain they did an amazing job, Served all the food and cleared away too. All the guests loved the food. Fantastic Chef and fantastic service! I booked Marcus for a birthday dinner that I was helping to organise for a friends 30th. From initially getting in touch with Marcus to actually meeting on the day and tasting his food I cannot fault the service. The food was AMAZING! Can’t thank Marcus enough. He saved the day by, at last minute notice, providing an amazing BBQ feast of marinated ribs, succulent shoulder of lamb, mini marinated chicken fillets and burgers with a range of salads and home made bread for a special family celebration of 20 people at the Calvert Trust Lodges in Kielder on 22 June 2019. He was warm, friendly and quietly efficient, delivered to time and provided everything needed, including the clearing up to ensure a successful evening

We provide over self catering accommodation in Cumbria , we asked Realfoodchefs to come and talk to us about provide dining, Jay and his band of merry men and women cooked for over 300 of our clients last holiday season and we just wanted to share a review , " thanks for helping us find a personal chef for the week at the cottage ,the food is like nothing I have ever tasted before (amazing) and I eat in some expensive restaurants , the chef and his team were professional and discrete , wish these guys were in London I would book them every month" so if you want a private chef , at least give them a call , Ann Chapman , cumbria homeserve

Marcus came to cook for us for 2 nights at the holiday let we were sharing with a group of friends. He is very friendly, cheerful, accomodating and a fantastic chef. The food on both nights was superb and catered brilliantly for a last minute change of number of guests and also for dietary requirements for one person of gluten free.
