Brilliant place. Can't fault it for the value and variety of Italian food products, fresh pizza's, fruit and veg . If you've not been then I 100% recommend this place. Staff are great too!

The tray bake pizzas are a great size for larger families/groups and at a competitive price. We loved the spicy olives and the Italian bread (Pane Pugliese) that we ordered with our takeaway so I can’t wait to visit the store and see what else is available.

Good stocks always and a great variety. Go at off peak as you a crowed in and staff do not wear face coverings. Keep am eye on expiry dates too but all that said it the best selection in town. I shop here often so a returning customer is a happy customer. Do try this place.

Lived in Bedford for 30 years and didn't know this place existed!!! We only went hoping they might have some Lardo (which was very reasonably priced), and came back with an armful of stuff. Felt like we were back on Holiday in Minori🏖. All the staff were really friendly and helpful. Highly recommended

Little Italy tucked away just on the outskirts of Bedford Town center. If you're after any sort of fresh Italian food, vegetables, drinks and cakes then this is the place to visit. It's massive with shelves upon shelves stocked with food. Staff are all extremely helpful and more than wiling to help you shop and advise you with cooking Italian dishes.

Something of a recent discovery for me. This is a great Italian shop / wholesaler open to the public. Packed with food and drink goodies and a great Deli counter setup. Excellent selection of everything for Italian cooking. They also have Pizza ovens so need to try this sometime! I will be going back.

Absolutely fantastic Italian cash and carry. More expensive than a supermarket but you get what you pay for! Fantastic produce, very authentic, and beautiful flavours! Can't get anything near as good in Grantham, so I always pop in when I am passing!

Just had our first pizza to takeaway tonight, cooked to order, very fresh tasting and light dough. We called direct and collected, much better than using the ordering apps. No greasy pizza or greasy box at the end like the big branded takeaways. Authentic Italian pizza. Would highly recommend and will return. Such friendly staff too!

The pizza.. Oh the pizza Size great, consistency great, price great, but the taste.... This reminds me of a lovely place outside the Vatican City which has a very similar pizza base consistency and taste. Minus the pick pockets and Pope. The pizza here definitely stacks up with some of the Italians (in Italy) Unfortunately you can't replicate the buzz of Rome and the aroma of 2 stroke mopeds but free delivery and hot box is worth the trade up.

Have just returned and polished off a delicious lasagne and piccanti pizza - bought as our evening meal (for two). Pizza ready within minutes, on a stonebase type base. We love the fresh selection of meats vegetables and fruits available. All really tasty. Also the happy friendly Bristolian lady is usually there to make us smile. 10 / 10 definitely don't hesitate to drop in and get some yummy Italian food! All Italian products that you could ever want are here from pasta and sauces to sweet and savory snacks, biscuits, liquors... Freshly made pizza and panzerotti (fried dough with fillings). Aisles are narrow because there's so much choice!

The place was extremely busy due to the recent pandemic and people bulk buying. They have so much stock that it is hard to see them run out. Even though they were so busy, the staff was courteous and helpful. Fresh hot food is also served there. The calzone was really nice. I will definitely be coming back.

Best take-away pizza in Bedford, proper Italian style. Also the arancini were delicious and the cannoli was great - decent crunch on the pastry, nice cream, generous but not too much. The supermarket range was huge and good quality, nice pasta, fresh tomatoes and I've never been so pleased with a lemon. Want to check out the gelato freezers in the future.

I just love this place. Staff really know their stuff and are passionate about their food. The place is crammed full. The deli is positively dangerous and the boys in the kitchen serve up some truly delicious baked goods. Why shop at Tesco when you can take your time here and finish off with an espresso.

Came here a couple of weeks ago with all the shops in bedford town were out of pasta and sauce, so I thought A1 Foods will have plenty and they did, it was buzy but I did my shopping and was happy with everything and I also got a family pizza to go, my gang enjoyed it, I also got two large loaves of bread, hot cheese, and a large salami, and we had a lovely Italian sandwich, can't wait to go back. They have so much from dry to fresh to hot foods, the staff were great and helpful, thank you for being open with the stuff we are going through here in bedford, take care look after yourselves and hopefully we will see each other again xxxx
