Reviews of Za Za Bazaar

A must go for all food lovers! If variety is the spice of life, this is where variety meets quantity. For a moderate price, this bottomless buffet will fill your stomach and your heart in equal measure! Be sure to try out all the available options

Good prices, beautiful place and a vastity of food to try, but not everything is good. Most of the fried things we tried were cold, the chips and the Mac&cheese were tasteless, the nuggets needed salt (that was nowhere to be seen on the table and our waiter was too busy with other tables to notice us), in the lasagna there was too cheese, the pizza wasn't so bad (but too chewy to be Italian). I appreciated the Chinese stand, but I found the Chicken with teriyaki sauce a bit too salty. I didn't like any deserts, and I love sweets.
N. S.
This is a great all you can eat restaurant but what makes it different from the rest is the wide selection of food available. Not the cheapest place to eat but definitely worth it. All of the staff were extremely polite and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. It's a well spaced out area with plenty of seating. I will definitely be going back there again.

Manic but strangely mesmerising!!!
It's like a jumble sale for food! Really good service but quite crowded, so if you want a quiet meal for two this isn't the right place to go. But if you can't decide what to eat, come here as I had quite an eclectic mix!

Wow...this place!!
A MUST visit if you're in Bristol.
Make sure you book ahead as its literally rammed every day we tried without a booking.
So much choice and quality is a high 4 out of 5 on average.
Well worth the money.
Top tip!
The best way to try all of the food on offer is to only have a small spoon full of each dish and not put too much of one dish out.
That way you don't think "ohhh I wish I cod have tried sone so but I'm too full"
Cocktails were very good and tasty. Same good quality as the bar downstairs.

Absolutely amazing - I did the £10 student weekday lunch with flatmates (£13.50 if you have unlimited soft drinks instead of water) and I left with my stomach expanded 4" and every step hurt to take so I know I did it right. They've got so many choices of food and is great for trying new dishes without wanting to commit to a full meal. Personally, I recommend the fried squid rings.

Service was great, we didn't have a reservation but there was space. Staff was helpful and friendly. Food was very good, especially the Asian one!. The tex-mex food wasn't great, but they do have the best nachos I have ever tried in the UK, they might look very simple but they are so tasty, just like the ones you would find in Texas and some places in Mexico ❤️❤️❤️
j.
Kids loved. It's a great idea, so many flavours to try together such as chicken tikka masala and mash potato. The only downside is there is a lot of waste.
v. g.
What can I say only, woah!! Loved it all! Beautiful location, fab staff, tasty and amazing variety of food, and stop the bus!!!...the cocktails are some of the best I've tasted!! I've told my now 1st year Bristol student daughter to apply for a job with you!! As I will definitely be back! Happy customers!

Not for me but it wernt bad). There was a Few things i personally couldn't eat bit to spicy for my taste buds .I went Mexican Caribbean salad bar pizza . Think next time I going try the Indian .
What i like about this place you can test the water. Had enjoyable meal .

I love coming back here! I really enjoyed my dishes. Just a shame my Wife had a serving of undercooked chicken.
R. G.
Good value and good service despite a busy half-term lunchtime.
Definitely go to the noodle bar for a freshly cooked stir-fry.

Food and drink 5/10
Service 6/10
Decor and atmosphere: 8/10
Service speed 7/10
Cost 7/10
The best: Too many dishes to try! Insanely cheap for what is on offer.
The worst: The food is buffet quality and service is average at best.
The lowdown: When you step for in here, it is easy to get excited with all the different stations/stalls and the decor of the place. This helps to hide the fact that the food is of average quality. In saying this, the variety is insane for a buffet. My personal favourite is getting the food made fresh directly in front of you. It's probably good that the food quality is average as you won't regret not being able to try more than 20% of what is in offer.
T. D.
Good collection of food specially asian food. You will lots of variety of Indian food in live stall and it includes famous street food. Additional to this, you will get sushi or Thailand, Japanese good so it is multi national buffet. Coke price is slightly high otherwise it is perfect destinationfor food.
M.
Had an absolutely fantastic experience here!! 💯 Surprisingly the best ribs I've ever had, and the best tacos I've ever had (special thanks to the chef who made it extra spicy for me and my partner! ✨). All the chefs were very welcoming at each of the stalls and they were always happy to cook something for you 😊 Interior is very well decorated 👌👌
H. K.
Great Buffet with multi country cusinie. Mexican, indian, Chinese, Thai. Customer service was good. Bar is available. Deserts must try.
S. S.
Absolutely loved it! Didn't get to try every dish but the Chinese and Indian cuisine was awesome. Looking forward to trying new dishes next time!
Only thing I noticed this time is that the Kheer (indian dessert) doesn't represent real flavours. Maybe you could make it better 🙂
B. W.
Never a disappointment coming here. The food on offer is simply excellent! Always freshly cooked it tastes absolutely fantastic. You have plenty of time to eat what you want and even tho it costs more on a Friday and Saturday. It’s worth it. Also the sticky toffee pudding is by far the best I’ve ever eaten.
K.
A great place.. And a lovely time for a birthday meal.. With cocktails!
A.
We visited here yesterday it's a fantastic place to eat, great selection of food, really good variety of vegetarian and vegan dishes, the cocktails are very strong however and don't taste very nice, the table water was replenished without asking so that was really good, the lunch time deal is a great price for what you get, really nicely decorated too, will definitely return!
A. C.
Awesome place this is. Really nice food, friendly staff, nice chilled environment. Would suggest this place to anyone.
D. S.
A wide choice of tasty options on offer.
£12 each for a weekend lunch is undeniably great value. Nice helpful staff.
The venue itself though looks a bit shabby and is overdue a revamp. Very busy and VERY noisy, impossible to hold a conversation with fellow diners.
I. C.
I love this place. Don't be put off by the "all you can eat" label. The food is cooked to a high standard and the selection of food is amazing. The staff are all really efficient too so dirty plates disappear before you've even noticed. It has a really fun atmosphere too. Highly recommend.
A. S.
Service was nice...but the food can be better. Some of the foods are so dry..needs a bit of sauce for them.. and also they can try to include some common African dishes
E. W.
Great ambiance and atmosphere. Don't expect Michelin quality food, but it's on par with your local takeaway, in the main. Get your money's worth and try everything!
R. B.
Very friendly and well organized . Welcoming experience. Good Asian food and some ice-cream I really enjoyed. You have to pay for beer but it is good to have one or two with your meal and I thoroughly enjoyed it.Easily accessible from town centre.
L. H.
Okay food, large choice, obviously the children enjoy the option of everything and had their fill of pasta, rice obviously plain! Chips, pizza and garlic bread followed by several trips to the chocolate fountain and desert counter.Personally I prefer a more relaxed dinning experience with a good quality single small meal but the rest of the family enjoyed it very much . Food to sample from around the world. PS the tiny mini lemon meringue tarts are lovely.
T. P.
It was an interesting experience. I managed to get served at the bar, with no difficulties, and all went well. The range of foods available were brilliant, as there were several counters for each type. The staff were polite, and happy to help.
However, the only difficulty was the position of the toilets, as they seemed to be at the far side of the restaurant. So, I had to walk through all the guests (sometimes difficult), just to reach the toilet.
S. G.
Love this place. I can eat Mexican, Indian, Chinese and English food all in one sitting! The lunchtime all you can eat price of just £12 is amazing!
T. C.
Had a nice dinner of all you can eat. Tried a bit of everything but loved the sweet and sour chicken and curries the most. You have 145 minutes to dine so plenty of time to eat. Don't need to book as usually there's space.
M. J.
Veg/Vegans: Have a lot of options to chose from.
This was a very good experience from start to end!
We did not have reservations and were there at around 11:30am and since it was not crowded, we got a seat immediately and the various cuisines and good number of options took a lot of time to explore, but we had a bit of everything and we thoroughly enjoyed it, except for the India food, which being an Indian I can say needed more spice and salt in it. Rest the other options available tasted really nice and the deserts options were great tasting too! Thoroughly enjoyed and if I ever go back to Bristol, I am visiting this place again.
J. A. H.
Food was very tasty and the prices were very good too. We had trouble getting any service and regularly chasing the staff but everyone was friendly and it wouldn't put us off returning once it opens up as the more traditional buffet style again.
A. S.
Wow, what else can I say. We have been to all you can eat buffets before but this is something else again. So many options a lot of which are fresh cooked. There was a time limit of 1 hour 45 minutes, but that was fine for us. Unlimited fizzy drink refill glasses also available which are self serve. Very Good quality food. Not cheap like some I've been to. Friendly staff and a great atmosphere

My husband and I love this place. At the beginning we were not very convinced because there's a lot of food and we were overwhelmed. Love the prawns soup, the pasta just made and the desserts.
N. D.
In general the place is very good. The food is good with plenty of variety and definitely something for everyone. The one thing that disappointed us most was that on ordering a drink, we waited for half an hour and ended up having to cancel it as we were running out of time.
a. j.
A mini reunion with my former seafaring colleagues. Incredibly busy area and we were lucky enough to get a table in the sun. Everyone had a great time, and those who ate enjoyed their food. Well worth a visit.
D. R.
Loved it! There is so much choice ,it's incredible. We found the food delicious. My favorite was the Indian style. You have 1h45mn to eat, it's actually plenty of time for lunch. The place is pretty clean. The small Down side is the round tables. It looks very nice and it's great when everyone is seated but you disturb every one to be able to stand up as it is a large couch kind of seat and NOT individual chairs. The individual table/chairs are tiny...
D. A.
Food is what you expect from a buffet. The curry, dosa and tacos were notably good. And stay away from the sushi! Great staff. I absolutely love all the signs around the buffet. They do seat the customers in a clockwork fashion so you can see when all the people who arrived at the same time as you left which makes it feel more like a canteen but it’s to be expected. Enjoy stuffing your faces folks!!
D. M. M.
Haven't been to ZaZa's for a while due to lockdown, but went lunch time and was pleasantly surprised.
Still lots of choice (no prawns though, that's available evenings).
I had the chicken tikka fresh out of the tandoori oven with fresh pashwari and also garlic nan bread - which was really tasty.
There was a good choice of Indian, Chinese, mexican, pizzas, puddings, ice cream out of a traditional ice cream machine you pull yourself, fish and chips (fish was fresh as well).
To be honest it's well worth the £9.99 I paid for a lunch.
The downer for me was the multi story car near by which cost £6 for 2 hours!
But that is out of ZaZa's control!
I. C.
cheap but food is so so. would only be good if you're not a fussy eater with a big appetite
R. B. R.
Good for family gathering, ok food. Don’t expect high quality, many selections but Not for veggies and vegans.

Enjoyable place, pity buffet not available but the new method works well, plenty of choice. Nice to be able to try a variety of foods without worrying about wasting an expensive dish.
Place was clean and tidy, quite busy but staff always on hand.
Cocktails were very good.
Only gripe was that it was like a sauna in there. Maybe the aircon broken? But I wouldn't want to be sat upstairs by the glass again in proper summer.
All in all it was nice but I wouldn't rush back.
T. 6.
Za Za Bazaar is such a fun place to eat at. It is always busy that adds to the atmosphere and the food is really good. It's all you can eat with loads of different cuisines from all over the world. It is also aesthetically pleasing to walk around choosing your food. This may be overlooked by some but I think it really adds to the 'all you can eat' concept. If you haven't tried ZaZa's yet then do it when you're next in Bristol and if you've tried it before then I'm sure it won't be the last. Tuck in!
R.
Loved it
Massive variety of dishes from different parts of the world
Loads flavour
Great price
L. T.
Food is ok, large selection and it's good value for money. However, the glasses and plates were filthy.. I asked for some more glasses for the refillable drinks which the guy who worked there gave me some more no problem. They again we're dirty. As we had small children with us we had baby wipes with us so I cleaned the glasses with a baby wipe and after cleaning just 1 glass, the white baby wipe was orange.. this strongly suggests that the glasses are cleaned In dirty dish water.. as I didn't want to make a fuss.. I wiped them dry with a napkin and filled them up and carried on. Again the plates weren't clean either and had to search for one which didn't have something on.. unfortunately due to this I wouldn't recommend to Friends and probably won't be going back unfortunately..
K. B.
Visited only twice, but taken aback by the quality of the food and amazing variety. Good atmosphere as well, can't wait to go back there. Those other eat as much as you can so called restaurants don't even come close
B. A.
Sat near window. Great view of Dock, however not always a seat there.
Variety of foods from the world.
J. Y.
Food choices are great, but some food can be quite bland. 3 times I had to stop the staff from whipping away my plate mid mouthful! Too interested in taking away plates, or talking at the counter between themselves to assist with things you really need. And let’s not even mention the way my companion who’s wheelchair bound was spoken to for asking for a spoon as she can not use a knife and fork !
R. P. (.
Amaze looking place and food was well sign posted around . However it was so full , to the point it was so overwhelming to even try to get food, people were stood around waiting for a table after being sent upstairs so just in your way . I would feel a 1 way round system would be so much better and people monitoring it . Also hardly any of the hand sanitisers worked and was basically none near any of the food stations
p. r.
Love this place. Great for a meal as lots of choice so everyone will find something the like. Only negative is that they wipe anything on the tables onto the floor when cleaning. Clean table yes but dirty floor!
J. B.
Although we had a table booked we still had to wait in line to be seated, which took about 15 minutes. There was a great range of foods to choose from, but don't expect to be blown away with amazing dishes. The food was a bit meh. I only really enjoyed a couple of dishes and one or 2 of the desserts. The service, however, was amazing! They couldn't do enough for you! I would recommend visiting here just to say you've been and although I felt like the food was a bit bland it was extremely busy and I know people who rave about their food so its probably just me comparing. Good value for money and great atmosphere on the waterfront.
G. N.
Loads of options, and plenty treated great too. Only down side was the time it took for some bits to be made(like Pasta or tacos). Would be good if they had some of these pre made you could just pick up as well as having something made fresh for you if you wanted it.
D. H.
Good food, a bit pricey but actually the best chicken nuggets I ever tasted (the kids ordered them, I just nicked a few!). Music was a little loud for 4 o'clock in the afternoon but we were under a speaker and at least it was Bob Marley!
s. S.
This place is amazing. I didn't really know what to expect but this wasn't it!
The building its self is set right on the river which there are some amazing views.
The restaurant is upstairs but there is a lift for anyone that can't handle the stairs.
When you walk in its quite open plan with several buildings in the middle with different food stations and live cooking.
It's very clean in there with a street food chilled Boho style.
The waitress asked us if we knew how things worked and was happy to guide us.
Now the most important part..the food.
Every station was fresh flavourful.and lots of selection. The chefs were all really friendly & happy to advise.
I'd deffo be going here on my next visit to Bristol
P. G.
Great place been many times before.
I've now got coeliac disease so can eat wheat and I am also a vegetarian. I couldn't eat much of the food which is a shame.
Even the chips have wheat in them.
k. T.
Went as a walk in for lunch at the weekend. Got a table and was seated quickly. The whole experience was less than expected the lighting is very in your face the music was so loud I couldn't couldn't even talk to the rest of my table. Had to flog down a waitress to be able to have a drink after 20 mins of waiting for her to come to the table. The food was as expected generic buffet style was worth the price however I wouldn't be rushing back
S. M. R.
Very tasty and a lot of the choices.
Highly recommended!
C. e.
Very good staff who looked after us the restaurant should be proud of them... Thank you
l. h.
The food is amazing, had a dosa (pancake) cooked in front of me from scratch. Lovely to be able to have a sample of everything.
Just don't order coffee, lol they are geared up for fizzy drinks. Had to wait.....
M. B.
Always wanted to go. Went I wouldn't say disappointed but felt underwhelmed. Lots of great food, the British section needs a little work as does the American bit, we do eat more than hot dogs, cottage pie and fish n chips. But the Indian and Chinese stuff was wonderful as was the bbq. Desserts left a little to the imagination just felt it lacked something maybe a different cake or ice-cream variety. Service was good food was hot n fresh clearly refreshed alot and no bad tummy next day. Very nice will be going back
H. W.
First visit post covid, nothing has changed!
Great selection of food from all over the world, some taste as good as specialist restaurants, some not so much.
All down to personal preference.
Staff are friendly and helpful, even when it's really busy.
A. M.
Fantastic for all the family, even on a quiet weekday lunchtime the selection was huge. My daughter always loves the desserts! Staff very friendly too.
m. b.
Went here on a very busy Saturday lunchtime, we were able to get a table for 5 without having to wait. Once inside we loved the great selection of street foods. Great value for money as you can eat as much as you like for a fixed price. Will visit again next time we are in Bristol.
C. L.
This has got to be the largest 'All you can eat in' in Bristol! £11.99 for a plate! Apart from the price everything was a bit of a let down. A lot of the "fresh cooking" areas were not on and there was a lot of empty pots, so choice was more limited. The food is fairly standard, great for kids, and the dessert bar was a big hit with the younger ones but I wouldn't rush back. If you want a nice relaxing, peaceful meal, don't go here. If you want to stuff yourself full on quick and easy food while keeping kids entertained in a hectic scrum of people trying to grab the last scoop, then it's great.
W. W.
Lush food. So many choices. Helpful staff. The chef on the Indian food was laughing at me as I said I dont do HOT food! Or fish with bones. Lots of happy people
J. T.
Went as part of my Stag do and it worked perfectly. Everyone found something they liked and it removes the hassle of keeping track for the bill! Great views of the harbourside to top it all off!
A. T.
Great food from all over, tex max, Indian, Chinese and European, plus deserts .
All you can eat buffet. Full bar also available. left totally stuffed! Best to pre book, but I believe you can just turn up and eat.
M. R.
Not the cheapest place to eat but a huge selection which is mostly freshly made so you’re bound to find something you like.
S. C.
Excellent venue large with great decor and light's,plenty of food choices and operating system worked well. Cocktails were quite small and some of the dishes were hit and miss but as so much choice it didn't matter.
j. f.
I went not just myself with 2 others. For those who don't know 'zar zar bazaar' is buffet style with chefs cooking food in island across the centre of the restaurant In a hozorontal line and people go around and pick whatever you'd like. An all you can eat buffet. We had a mix of everything bottomless soft drinks and went back up for dessert. In general we quite enjoyed it. The cooked from scratch pasta dishes were brilliant you chose what pasta you wanted what vegetables and other ingredients you want and made it personalised. That was definitely the highlight. My second favourite thing was the pizza as it was cooked then and there and you could come up and get hot slices. This was my first trip so wasn't able to try everything, such as didn't try the Indian so unable to comment on that. I was a little disappointed with the sushi. As didn't taste fresh (cucumber). And there wasn't the popular one from shops like Tuna one. Was a Pepper one which tasted awful the taste and crunch of the pepper didn't go with the sushi. Overall give 3.5/5 I wanted to give it something good as pasta was exceptional and pizza was good but a few bits brought it down. But I would say still worth a visit to try.
A. W.
Best to book beforehand as queues quite long for non bookings. Very good food, diverse and have plenty of time at the table. Not rushed to eat up and leave.
C. D.
An amazing place, all you can eat for 2 hours and any kind of food you can think of. Would definitely recommend and hopefully be back very soon 😊
A. M. R.
Amazing place. Vibrant. Lots of choice. Halal food.
Edited today - This time I went for lunch. Very disappointed. Yeah, the price is less. But collection and quality were both very much down. Not worth 13 pound for this buffet. One star less for this.
K. M.
Amazing spicy JD ribs and the tastiest goat curry... My go to!
M. M.
Not as confusing as people make it out to be. You have three or four different stations serving different types of cuisine. Food is prepared fresh in open areas. Couldn't find any seasoning...but maybe that was my fault. Staff work really hard but may not always be happy looking when serving and preping, but you cannot fault their work ethic.
C.
Really cool different experience for dinner, to be honest wasn't expecting much but was really surprised how fresh and tasty the food was!! And the staff were really helpful and friendly.
p. B.
With covid rules in place I felt like dining in a fine dine in buffet price. Initially I thought how can they manage us to feed in 1:45 as there were limited staff to serve but once started it was flawless . I felt safe compared to other fine dine nearby.pictures show how it was served.
m. e.
Actually didn't eat, but went there for the DJ (Soul domination) on the ground floor, good vibe plesently surprised by range of music mainly disco R'n'B 80's and soul, free entry and will definitely go again.
P. C.
Great food great service. But music had way to much bass making it uncomfortable to stay to long in the afternoon. They are advertising for staff maybe even to much bass for the staff to.
B. D.
Its just a ok, great u can eat what u want for a small price but lacks taste, the desserts were a little bland, ice cream melts before u arrive back at table. Also very hot in the building
T. B.
I've eaten at a lot of buffets up and down the country. This one I would eat at again, but skip desert it's very underwhelming. Also, I'd suggest not overlooking the Salad bar. It's is massively under represented looking at some of the other reviews. Great choice of sun dried tomatos, good quality olives, nice bread, cherry tomatos hummus combinations to die for etc. Unfortunately judging from my first hand experience on premise and by reading the reviews most people seem to go for the same old slop, chips, nuggets, tortilla's, cheese sauce, chicken wings, onion rings, burgers endless plates of just those things. Why? You can get that cheap poor quality junk anywhere, why come here for it? I suspect if 60% of people were just a tiny bit more discerning ZaZa would go out of business. So I shalt not complain...
M. T.
Love this place. World buffet on a budget. Sure there are some cheap dishes, but there are also freshly cooked dishes you wouldn't expect in a budget. Literally something for everyone. Their cocktails are also good. Can't beat a za za Pina collada!

An update to my review, for August 2020.
There's a lot of thought that's gone into Covid restrictions, one way systems, barriers, etc and some work, some do not.
You can no longer help yourself, though it remains an all-you-can-eat buffet. The servers are behind big screens and will dish out what you'd like, in generous portions. However: though there are pictures of the dishes, it's not quite the same to as seeing the food itself. Being given a good portion is also fine, but if you're the type of person that likes to sample a little of everything, then this will not enable you to do that as you'll be full really quickly. (Solution: let the server know you only want a little. Sounds simple until you try it though). Of course, this is a clever strategy as it means less people walking around and potentially less food waste.
Alas there are too many people milling around and the one way systems and in/out signs just don't work and are largely ignored. Also - some of the food is terribly bland to the point of being horrid. (The Chinese noodles remain excellent, BTW).
The staff are great, but this doesn't make for a great overall experience when the food has become so mediocre.
(My original review before Covid changes, below).
100% satisfaction.
I've been coming here for a while now and it just keeps getting better. There's a fantastic selection of food from around the world and the food is pretty darned good. It may not be >the best< but for an all-you-can eat, the offerings are very good indeed.
It's great to see the live cooking and the staff are always cheerful and happy for you to watch.
9/10 on a rating for fast food.
J. B.
Started the year as I meant to go on with a mountain of food from Za Za Bazaar! Have eaten here a fair few times and really enjoyed it every time. Really good selection (obviously) and everything cooked right in front of you. The Indian is particularly good!
M. O.
Not bad over all. Puddings are a bit of a let down. Crazy packed at lunch time on a Saturday. Nearly took out a few little people in my travals to the different foods. kinda their fault for not looking where they are going and a bit of me being on a mission to fill my belly tbh.
B.
Great place to eat in Bristol, cheap and with variety of food.

It's the kind of place you go to with a large group, people who like different cuisines or are picky eaters. Due to the large selection of food everyone is bound to find something they like or want to eat, so it's a good option for a birthday party or get together.
Obviously being a buffet, the food is not of high quality, it's not going to be comparable to a restaurant specialising in a specific type of cuisine. However the food is decent and the desserts are nice (especially the Crème brûlée!).
The self-serve drinks on tap are not the best...but they get the job done. The Chefs are quick to replenish food and there are quite a few live cooking stations to have your raw ingredients cooked for you there and then.
Overall the best buffet restaurant I've been to so far in Bristol.

Myself and my boyfriend came up from Portsmouth for an anniversary wkend, in Bristol, and found zaza bazaar, we are both foodies so this is deff the place for us, we enjoyed all the different varieties on offer and everything was hot and delicious, the price was good and the staff are great keeping tables clear, changing plates and keeping food trays full. We can't wait to come back up.
C. E.
Great selection of food. Good vibes!
unfortunately when we came to pay the waitress was quite rude and was looking over our shoulder when using the chip and pin. All in all a great place to eat
S. C.
Average all you can eat buffet with multinational dishes. Nothing special, food is good though some dishes can be a little past their best depending on turnover. Impressed with the fresh grilled Portuguese type chicken. Not impressed at all with the waiting staff person who took my knife and fork off my plate and put them on the table so that he could remove the plate. Most rude and unhygienic I thought. Not likely to go back.
M. M. r.
It is a great place for a family meal my kids love the freedom to eat whatever they want and it makes the whole experience and meal that much better the only downfall is trying to find plates as they get used really fast so if you are unlucky you might go up and can't find any for a good few minutes if that wasn't a problem it would of been a 5 star review easily.
S. S.
A plethora of world cuisines to try, which are stationed out and freshly made in front of you. So there will definitely be something for everyone. Being a foodie, I was surprised to find dishes I haven’t heard before and love them. Heard about this place before and had high expectations that were met. Huge place to accommodate large parties and perfect for our work leaving do. Price wise, it is reasonable for the buffet in terms of taste and range of choices - though as with most buffets it is more value for the big eaters, however this is also value for the food cuisine tasters.
The receptionists were not so welcoming, though the waiting staff were great (Ash and Dranov were accommodating and friendly).
S. K. F.
Excellent food and a great opportunity to try new things. The only down side was our server but I think that's because the poor sod was new and it was super busy.
C. B.
Generic multi food all you can eat option. Ribs were dry, quite busy, left to it with no direction of how it works aside from instructional placemat.
K. R.
Beautiful food all round each station defently a treat to my taste buds. Service was professional and friendly lovely family meal.
C. (.
Absolutely gorgeous restaurant. The food is amazing and there's so much to choose from! It's VERY busy so ensure to book ahead and it might not be the best for those who don't enjoy crowded places. If you can put up with that, however, it's a foodie's dream experience. I've been here twice, once at dinner and once at lunch. They said that lunch time has less of a selection but honestly, I didn't notice because there was still so much to choose from.
N. N.
Kind of nice food for a less prince , the only thing is the staff they should get trained better that most of them are rude with people..
But the food is nice also the desserts , I’m impressed !
Thank you for nice crème brûlée 🔥
G. R.
Food was decent. Service okay during the food. At the end, slapped the bill down saying 5 minutes left. So we all got money ready to pay, then took 30 mins to take it. Kinda rude and unnecessary.
s. t. l.
First I went with boy boyfriend and his neice... Then I went with my neice...
I love this place and the Indian food is the best. Not sure about the bit with the weird paella.
Thanks for the fish
m. g.
It was ok, but many of the expected dishes such as dim sum crispy duck or fresh fruit weren't available. Staff said it was 'because its lunchtime.'
S. -.
Family place and uniquely set-up. I like the idea of putting food stalls from different variety of cusine. Plenty of food starting from Japanese, Italian, Indian, Chinese etc. It's really a worth visiting.I was a tourist and luckily found this restaurant.
A. C.
Brilliant all you can eat restaurant, still my favourite I've ever eaten at with so much to choose from and reasonable prices.
S. J.
Food is good considering the mass creation of an all you can eat restaraunt.
It does get busy, but every thing runs fairly smoothlt
l.
Was good but too busy for my liking. Ran out of plates often. Range of food was great.
S. B.
First time, and I absolutely loved it! Food was fantastic, so much choice! Highly recommended!
D. W.
Our eldest son and his wife, took my wife and I, to Za Za's, for her mother's day treat, very, very impressed. We all enjoyed the meals, and again very impressed.
e.
Absolutely amazing! The quality of the food is stunning and the catering is top quality. The only queue was for the handmade noodles, but it was only around two minutes long. Basically the best place you could go for food and a definite recommendation for dates or families. Not the best place for children as the portions are medium-sized but good for people from 10+ I'd say. I'd definitely recommend this to anyone! I took my parents here and they were speechless.
(A picture of some of the many deserts below)
C. B.
Really enjoy a visit here. Great variety of different foods for you to try and you can eat as much as you like. The food is tasty and good quality given the scale of the operation. Some of the food is cooked for you whilst you wait, live cooking action! Definitely worth a visit.
A. F.
An overall worthwhile experience, but be prepared for a very busy dining experience, which can feel a little rushed - you’re given a set time to finish within (1hr 45m IIRC), so with all the walking around fetching food, you spend little time sat at the table and time seems to fly by. However, it is a buffet so that’s to be expected! The atmosphere is great nonetheless, and there are some good drinks deals. The food is also great quality, which I was pleasantly surprised by, especially the fresh pasta station. I’d recommend checking the prices before you go, as they vary massively based on the time and day you visit, so don’t get caught with a larger-than-expected bill as we did.
p. l.
It was amazing being here before Covid-19.
They had every cuisine from everywhere and everythung was delicious. I will always remember this place where i tried chicken and bagel for the first time. Even the desserts were amazing and the varity of drinks menu was also great.
S. M.
Great buffet at the most affordable prices.
B. C.
Interesting place to try. Nice bar on the ground floor. Good selection of world food on the 1st floor. Gets quite busy at peak time.
A. S.
Lovely place, very vibrant, great selection of foods from around the world, very friendly staff, great start to a evening.
D.
Welcoming, buzzing atmosphere, and great selection of food, something for everyone. We have two fussy eaters in my family, and love coming here because everyone gets what they want. They can cook to order on some food stations too which is good if you have an allergy. There are lots of stairs to get up to the restaurant, so you might need to check if there's a lift if stairs are a problem.
s. t.
It's a nice place for big group or if you wanna eat lodz of variety in food , however some plates were not clean enough that made me question the hygiene, DO NOT order Bottomless soda it does not have fizz in it, all you can taste is weird sugar syrup in it. Lovely staff,I recommend reservation as this place it mostly crowded. Nice experience but Hygiene should be improved
J. M.
Very tasty food, great choice and good value. Enjoyed the experience!
C. H.
Very busy, not all of it is wheelchair friendly due to steps, but ok. Personally I wasn't blown away other than the dessert area.
L. A.
it just can't get wrong, the food variety is amazing, I could spend all day eating, you are limited to 1h45m but it's more than enough once it's all ready to eat, amazing chefs preparing the food, can't fault it, you almost feel you are in another country, really nice atmosphere and very good price at lunch! if you haven't been to Za Za go today, skip breakfast!
G. B.
This was my first visit and I must say, very impressive. The selection of food available is outstanding, there's no way you could come here and not have a good time. The food was all piping hot, fresh and plenty available. The staff were friendly and helpful and for the food you get the price is excellent value for money. Will definitely be returning on my next visit to Bristol.
u. E.
I went to Bristol in Easter holiday! when I was walking on the street, I found this restaurant. Staffs were friendly and kind! This restaurant was huge!! They could accept around 300peoples! If you visit this place, You can have various food of world even if you don't go to abroad! Their food was fantastic!!! I would see lots of families to come to here and if you are student, You are able to get an offer!
S. S.
Bar staff are hard worker's and smart.
Great drinks
Good layout.
Need to try food next time as it smelt amazing.
Live band was good.
Standard music is excellent although please play at lease three dance songs then pop. The playlist seems very random.
L. G.
Broad range of food, standard quality but for us, I think a one time visit.
N. H.
Great food including the chocolate fountain
f. b.
Absolutely loved it. I was stuffed after but the food is top quality.
H. A.
Much better than the last time I visited.
Decent food and met expectations from a buffet place
I would rate za za bazaar over cosmo (another buffet place in Bristol).
P. h.
Lush place to eat plenty of options even if your vegetarian prices are on par with Cosmo slightly less choice of food
N. H.
First visit here but don't think it's the place for us. The food was okay, nothing fancy. Puddings were yum. Very large so caters for large groups also lots of children there so definitely child friendly. I think it was quite expensive for that's where, I would advise not eating all day if you want your money's worth, haha! There is parking a few minutes walk away and it's on the edge of the river which is nice.
R. C.
Great place and variety of dishes which some are more popular than others. Although some food seems to be sat under hot lamps for some time. Live cooking very good although we didn't try this. Only one let down was that even though the restaurant wasn't full for the time we arrived all other diners were cramped into the corner of the whole place.
T. M.
This place is beyond excellent! Delicious and super tasty food, countless options from multiple cuisines, and a very reasonable price tag. Staff is amiable and their manager easily approachable. Fish Amritsari from the Indian section and Crème Brulé from the dessert section were out of this world! Highly recommended of you're in or passing through Bristol. Will go here every time I am in the vicinity.
J. Z.
This has to be one of the most value for money places I’ve ever been to. With more food than you could ever wish for, Za Za Bazaar has it all - from Asian to continental, Indian to American and almost everything else in between. Not all the items may wow you, but the sheer volume is enough to do that. The variety, the ambience, the price are some of my favorite features about this place. I would be elevating this restaurant to a cultural status in my mind now, because I now know every future trip to Bristol will also include a pilgrimage to this aptly named “bazaar”. This is buffet on steroids.
t. b.
Food was good but not brilliant, it could do with a overhaul and deffo could do with some mediterranean food like greek.
h. v.
Amazing food, service, everything. Highly recommended to everyone 👍
T. V.
An amazing place with a variety of cuisine to choose from. On of the best places to fill your tummy with mouth watering dishes at the buffet. To add to the taste and the buffet, students get an additional discount and you can effectively have the entire place for yourself for the price of a Subway footlong sandwich.
S. h.
I think this has to be my favourite restaurant. Endless cuisines to choose from from Indian, Chinese, Thai, European, tex-mex, burgers, hot wings, soup, pizza, roast dinner, noodles stir fru with live cooking, sushi, a salad bar, a sweets bar, cream and desserts! And the best part, it al tasted delicious. No half asked flavours. Loads of bar staff and every table full. You have to pre-book.
Z. P.
Good place to enjoy trying lots of different styles of food and very good quality too
H. E.
Quite a unique dining experience. You get checked in at the door and you're given an allotted amount of time to get your fill.
Plenty of stations from Asian to European, whatever you're looking for, they've probably got! The quality of the food is definitely worth the amount you're paying.
Be ready to be stuffed and rolled out through the front doors. I quite enjoyed it here. They've also got a great selection of cocktails if you're looking to get a little buzz going.
V. Z.
The food is amazing,im a regular there now, they never dissapoint🥰
A. F. Z.
This review is a culmination of 3 visits between Nov 2021 to Jan 2022.
Food quality - 4/5
Food variety - 5/5
Price - 4/5
Hygiene - 2/5
Comments - on all 3 occasions I have found the plates and cutleries to be extremely dirty. On every occasion I have had to sift through the multiple of plates to find one which is half decently cleaned. On occasions on when I have asked for extra cutlery I have seen food residue on the given cutleries as well. This is quite unexpected and disappointing to see from such a big restaurant. I hope the management will take appropriate action to remedy this persistent problem.
L. D.
Very nice experience with the wife. Very busy and the staff where friendly. Would recommend a visit, just don't eat anything before visiting because you will need thr extra space.
A. M.
I visited this restaurant recently with my wife and I found out the quality of the food is average. However, my wife did not like the test of the food.
M. “. W.
More of an all out experience than a restaurant! Kids absolutely love it. The chance to try out different foods you may not risk usually.
J. C.
Fab service, fab food and good atmosphere
Only downside is they're really not adhering to their own covid guidelines. I wouldn't even mention it if they didn't make a big song and dance about it on their website.
Staff often weren't wearing masks or had them incorrectly fitted and most guests ignored all the covid regs
Again, I don't mind but don't paint yourself as Uber covid safe when you aren't
J. B.
Amazing as always. So much choice and the food is really good when compared to other all you can eat buffet restaurants. Would highly recommend!
D. M.
Oh my days we had a blast there.
We were in food heaven was unable to decide what to eat first. We had a great time.
We're about to head back to our hotel but decided to go down to the bar downstairs and stay there till late into the night listening to good music and drinking cocktails which were on an offer.
A. D.
I have been to this place once and would like to go again and again.
Whether you are with family or friends, it's a perfect place to chill out with, and yeah if you're a foodie like me then you gonna love it
C.
Total shambles with new table service today.
June 22 update
Great to see the place to pre lockdown standards so only thought it fair to update my rating and review.
Food delivery random, got 2 eastern menu mains but no rice or a plate, 3 dishes never made it, asked 5 times and waited 1hr35 for a pitcher of water and to rub it in price has gone up. However, management dealt with issues to my satisfaction (extra star) Hope it improves for when it’s really busy. Will avoid now until it’s back to self service.
S. R.
The best cocktail we ever tasted at reasonable price 2 for £12..Everything online just need to scan the code in the table to get the your drinks and food ordered - impressive
S. W.
We had booked for 3p.m and hard to get in through big que and no one seemed to know if you had booked or just waiting for a table did you stay in same que. Manic in side far too many people, no plates on some food stations. And too many people trying to get food at the same time.
S. W.
The food was great.
The COVID hygiene was not.
There were hand sanitizer stations, but most I tried were empty and I didn't see a single other person using them. This is an issue because you need to touch many things to serve your food. Secondly the rules said you had to wear masks when not at your table, however we were definitely in the minority by wearing masks. Nobody was enforcing their mask rule.
There is definitely not 2m between you and people at the surrounding tables. No distancing in queues for food or in passageways.
So if you are remotely concerned about COVID don't go here.
A. G.
If your looking for a cheap meal with plenty of options this will be perfect. Overall food quality wasn't too bad from the bits that I did try.
C. B.
Had a lovely tmeal today there. Staff were excellent in evetyway. The food was lovely. Being a buffet restaurant. There is food for everyone. I had a good time there. Will return again. Good value for the price.
S. A.
Great selection of food and taste doesn't dissappoint. Very busy as always. Favourite dish are the noodles and curry.
A. G.
Very nice staff and a wide range of foods
M. A.
It's all you can eat... Food isn't bad but it's not great either. Very difficult to socialise when your constantly getting up for food. It reminds me of a dinner hall as it's very loud with tables lines up having to wait in line to get srved.
D. E.
This is my first visit post lockdown to za za's. I've always loved za za bazaar, yesterday was good too. I was part of a party of 7, food was good, we were the last ones there but we didn't feel forced out which a lot of restaurants you can. Thank you to all staff that worked last night (4th January).
V. R.
Best for multi cuisine buffet. Wide varieties ranging from all parts of the world. Very cheap and good food.
S. C.
Staff this evening was absolutely exceptional! Made last minute plans for a friends birthday and the whole floor staff pitched in and killed it. They went above and beyond, even putting together a little cake with jellybeans!!
Definitely worth every penny to see the smile on their face. 11/10.
k. y.
It is a 4 stars for evening food variety. Lunch is cheaper but do not serve as much variety of dishes as dinner menus. Recommend going for dinner than lunch.
S. P.
Incredible food here from a variety of cuisines. Highly recommend this place if you're coming to visit Bristol.
w.
It's still there and of course Bristol's ultimate centre for international cuisine; I had curry with custard (I think it was custard) and rice pudding with fish and chips all on one plate - lovely
S. R. D.
one of the best buffet places, had a perfect categorisation of food depending upon different types of cuisines, all of them were scrumptious that too at an affordable cost
R. F.
Amazing buffet. Must try if in Bristol.
G. S.
Great place if you're catering for a kids party of fussy eaters, there is something for everyone, saying that the selection of Asian food is limited and many other world buffet restaurants are far better
K. M.
Great as always, was very busy as you would expect on a Saturday evening. Good selection of food and drinks.
R. J.
Great place. There was so much diffrent types of food to choose from, i didn't know where to start. Would recommend.
K. V.
We came last night and it was amazing. Great value. Everything was reasonably priced. I liked the fact that they offered squash on the menu so my children all that that. Food was amazing. Everywhere was clean and tidy. If something ran out it was almost immediately refilled. Only down side was the staff (apart from the lady at reception) they all seemed miserable and even asking for a drink it seemed like you'd asked for something completely inconvenient. Hasn't put me off going though.
k. n.
Tremendous choices of world cuisine as buffet....Super starters and salads...
1/2 point less for the Indian main course quality..especially the vegetarian part...1/2 point less for the desserts....very less variety of world desserts except 1 or 2...majority of the desserts is only cakes and cakes....
Scope of improvement here....overall a joyful experience...
J. C. (. L.
Enjoyable evening with family and friends. A nice assortment of food to choose from and kept clean/tidy at all times. ⭐⭐⭐⭐
O. O.
The result of new rules after lockdown - active service and you can not move between stations. Food is good enough, but sometimes it would be good to select something else if you do not like what select and was served, but it is not possible.
D. N.
Very busy on a Saturday night. Probably a good night to avoid. Having said that the bar staff worked very hard to ensure we didn't have to wait too long for drinks. Great atmosphere 👌
D.
Very busy and unfortunately ran out of plates a few times at all the areas. Other than that, food seems fresh, well prepared and cooked well. Good value too!
A. F.
There's so much delicious food to choose from and at such reasonable value. What a meal!
A. M.
Had amazing time with family. All the foods were delicious 😋
j. p.
Lovely place, loads and loads of choice to eat, small variety of beer beverages on draft, nice cocktail menu and a few bottled beers to choose from, seating a fairly spacious considering it's a all you can eat, waiter/ress are on the ball and regularly checking you for a drink, disabled access is great theirs a lift to take you up and down and large areas to get about in, depending on where you sit you can admire the beautiful harbour full of nice and tidy boats, parking isn't great Trenchard car park is about 10/15 minute walk or Millennium centre parking is closet from car to main entrance 150 yards from main entrance.
All in all great place to dine for couples, family's or large groups 5 ☆ from me
K. W.
Very busy, long queue outside but lovely food and great to try lots of different types
P. K.
Really nice atmosphere and excellent staff :) Massive choice of different foods which is great as you could eat healthy or have all your fave guilty pleasures all in one place. I was really impressed with the choice. Lots of different cakes also.
D. G.
A fantastic experience at Za Za Bazaar, such a great choice of lovely dishes and we all ate to our hearts content, the kid's really enjoyed themselves and we will definitely visit again.
C. D.
Really amazing selection of food and for a buffet it's surprisingly good. Only downside is service wasn't great - took me 45 mins to get my drinks - and it's absolutely rammed full of as many people as they can cram in.
J. L.
Booked a table for 10 a few months ago only to find the put the price up from when we booked .food was very nice but the service very poor we ordered drinks at our table only to be served half of them we waited over half an hour for the rest of the drinks also asked for more cutlery 3 time resulting myself taking it off another table .there were a lot of pey complaining about the price being put up after they booked .don't think I will return to this restaurant again
J. G.
Best all you can eat buffet in Bristol
C. R.
Good range of food on offer with 300 dishes to choose from. Reasonably priced. Good for children to try a range of food.
R. G.
Buffet, all you can eat.
Chinese, American, Mexican, Indian , Italian, English & more. Great value and the food is delicious.
S. A.
Nice food, not amazing but not bad, staff were very friendly and food was on different islands depending on type. Price is fine during the week but at the weekend is too expensive for the quality that it is, for that price you could go to a nice restaurant and have a more intimate meal instead of being so squashed together with other people.
G. T.
Ok if you are desperate with food. If you are picky and want to enjoy the taste of fresh food, this place is not for you. Sadly we realised too late that there were food stools for Christmas just outside by the water. It might have been a better choice forna night out with the wife.
M. S.
A good place to eat with loads and loads of variety of food and drinks with reasonable price.. Food tastes good with different stall for Asian, American, Continental food 🥘.. Services are also good. Staff is also nice and humble.. My experience at Zaza bazzar was quite good , would recommend people to visit at least once when in bristol.
C. R.
Loads of great food. What's not to love here. Staff are great too.
M. S.
Wonderful place and got lots of Bonquet buffet food but drinks is not included with the meal. you can include but it charges extra money.
A. A.
The place looks bigger and nice . The food was testy but ,a bite expensive for someone who can eat that much .
N. B.
would bathe in the sweet n sour chicken here tbh man u haven’t lived til you’ve had it. sushi is also v noice here but the soy sauce is so salty i can feel my cholesterol going up (hence the absent fifth star).
S. F. M.
Note: Extremely busy restaurant and very loud. If you are looking for a relaxing or romantic evening this should not be your choice.
For a fun filled evening with more choices of food than you can imagine look no further. This place has a huge range of cuisines from oriental to Mexican to Italian and beyond. It's buffet style all you can eat but many dishes are cooked fresh for you such as the pasta and noodles. Food is good quality and there is ample seating.
There are also many desserts. Cakes, puddings, ice cream, chocolate fountain and so on. There is an unlimited soda option for an extra price to which is handy.
The whole place looks like a city street food set up with market stalls and bright lights. Very cool very fun!
R. W.
My Boys have loved this place since they were little. Good food for the price.
K. C.
Amazing culinary experience! More choice of dishes than you could ever eat...
A fascinating place to watch food being cooked in front of you.
M. G.
This place is very exciting and could be excellent quite easily. I appreciate that their business model is bums on seats, particularly since COVID, but the seating could be a little less crowded and up to date.
The food itself was very nice, plenty for me to eat as one of them, long serving, herbivores. Lots of variety and plenty of protein to keep me happy.
The service was slightly above average. Little things like not being given glasses when we sat at the table, leaning over you whilst the table is being cleared and encouraging us to leave when the restaurant was fairly empty.
Recently I have found myself using a wheelchair, no violins please, and I did make use of the toilet facilities during my visit. They were perfectly adequate but I did find myself being amusingly trapped inside as one of the staff members opted to leave a large trolley blocking the door.
Essentially the theme here is more staff training is required. People come here wanting an experience so make them leave feeling like they've had one.
One last thing. Well done to the Welsh lady who stood up for herself whilst being accosted by a teenage brat and then his family. She was polite throughout unlike them.
I will return. Thank you.
P.
It's a great place to go for families or larger group (so long as you don't mind the noise and bustle!) it's well priced, well located and something very different! Far superior to any eat all you want alternative. Major kudos for the hard working staff.
J.
Maybe the best all you can eat in Bristol with a good choice of various dishes.
Excuse the closely laid out wobbly tables with not that much space in between & the broken lock in toilet cubicle doors.
I. R.
What a great selection amazing £17.99 eat as much as you like !! The food was so good as well you may think it would be all left out for ages dried up etc but I was brilliant they even cook some things to order and if you have a sweet tooth the desserts won't disappoint !!
I ate loads of the sushi Chinese and Indian can't fault it
Will be going again soon
K. P.
Very nice ambiance and very cheap price for all different amazing food here!!
F. W.
The first time I visited this place I didn't like it, too busy, too much choice, too many kids (mine 😅). However, the kids are older and as long as you know what you're letting yourself in for it can be a great experience. There are many different foods to try and the trick is to have lots of small portions and not eat a big helping to begin with. The food isn't haute but is very good and is best tried where the food is being created in front of you. It's good fun, my wife hates it but there aren't too many places where you can have decent food from all over the world. The only weak spot are the desserts but not my favourite part of a meal anyway so who cares 😊
K. C.
Customer service was impecable and i received a lovely discount. Will definitely be returning.
M. D.
Love it here, been here a lot with my family we always enjoyed the food.
M. E.
As others have said: does what is says on the tin. Staff were generally polite and helpful although one of the chefs was a little bit snappy.
D. T.
Great food and fabulous friendly service. Just a pity that they don't have the full menu for lunch.
A. H.
Really good price-quality, many food choices and all of them tasty
A. W.
I'd say this was the best "all you can eat" place I've ever been to. Really like the island layout of the restaurant each with their own theme, that works really well. Don't be fooled into thinking this is that super low mush you get at other ayce's - this is far better
S. M.
There are lot of different styles of food.(Chinese, India, Japanese etc)The quality of the food and environment is quite good.
M. M.
Food was OK, lunch prices are fair, service is not bad
v. u.
We went in the noon and there wasn't a very big choice of foods, that you can choose from. In the past they had more options and places you can choose from. We had to wait really long for the waiter to come get our drink and we just went to the bar and bought ourselves.
P. D.
Sunday lunch. Place heaving but load of food options. For £13.99 you can eat a much as u like (buffet) from Chinese Italian Indian English Japan cuisines. Pint lager was £5.20 though?? Good fun sampling everything. Deserts had little fruit but loads of sweet things!
P. C.
Good prices and food is not bad. Kids love it and suits most pallets
E. T.
A great place to eat. Popped in here instead of weatherspoons and glad as it had such a great variety of food and good prices. Will be coming here again the next time I’m in Bristol
R. P.
First time there and wont be the last. Its s but crazy, a bit insane but in a good way. Food everywhere you look and so tasty!! Reason no 5 is because the guacamole was all salt ☹
s. J.
Kids had a ball. Good value for money and kids loved going up for food and making own choices.
M. O.
A must visit if in Bristol all different food bars under the one roof. Once off payment and eat what you want.
B. H.
Went for my sons 16th birthday celebrations 🍾 amazing place and amazing food
J. N.
Loved the place and excellent food went there multiple times!!
R. E.
Good to be back to our sons favourite birthday restaurant. Nothing seems to have changed since lockdown which is great as we got what we were expecting. Food was still the same good quality and quantity, plenty of desserts for the kids and variety to chose from.
O. C.
Great variety of different food, all fresh and some dishes cooked while you wait. Good for families with children as kids will enjoy the chocolate fountain and pour there ice cream.
A. A.
Food is always great here. Eyes bigger than my belly for once as I could only finish 3 plates...and then a dessert.
Only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is due to the feeling of being rushed...you can only do so much in a 2 hour window.
Also, don't go if you want a social natter as everyone is up and down getting different dishes at the same time.
In conclusion, I give it 4 Alan's out of 5.
B. W.
Food is reasonable. Great for the family as kids can eat what they want when they want. Price is good. Only issue is the cutlery was dirty. Looks like it is just placed in a dishwasher which does not get it properly clean. Wife has said that next time she would bring her own knife and fork!
R. B.
Nice food selection, but they had way too many people in, so ran out of crockery and cutlery, and the queue for desserts was too long and slow.
M. C.
What can I say ? I have been to a few banquets and Za Za Bazaar is by far the best by miles. Every dish was perfectly cooked. Every dish tasted gorgeous. Every dish drew you to it. Every dish was the best it could be. I've eaten the same curry for years thinking it was the best but Za Za Bazaar has now changed my mind. Free refills on fizzy drinks and unwanted food/plates gone in a flash. Waitresses were all so friendly. Nothing ran out and was constantly topped up. I could talk about this place all night. I just wish this restaurant was in Manchester but I will definitely be going back when I'm next in the area. Well done all at Za Za Bazaar.
D. B.
It was a great place to have something from different parts of the country and to celebrate with friends and best friends
C. J.
Love it at Za za's, it can get very busy in the evenings and weekends but we normally go in the day when it's not so noisy. The staff are great and polite, we have only ever had one problem and that was sorted straight away. The food is good, it's an all you can eat restaurant so great for my picky family
M. D.
Always loved the food selection, even if the place is rammed.
Got to knock a star off though due to one young female member of staff who was constantly coming to the table and just taking plates we were still using. Several arguments with her later and she was still doing it, at one one demanding the plate a friend was actually eating off, which was full. Other staff were brilliant, just this one that seemed to have issues.
S. M.
Lot of options to choose from cuisines of different continents.
You don't have to spend a lot to try all those different tastes.
I tried Indian vegetarian dishes, most of them were delicious.
J. R.
A great place to visit for all the family with nice food for all tastes.
S. G.
A bit busy for me as disabled, and I found that only about 2% of covers and all staff only wearing face masks.
The food wasn't really at its greatest sadly. No
Sushi which was a real shame. I think I will return sadly next year to feel safer and see if food has improved
A. J.
The food here. Just next level! I fully recommend the sweet and sour chicken and spring rolls, amazing! I will be coming here often. Plus, all you can eat?! What’s not to love
R. B.
Lovely food. Some stations you can actually get freshly made noodles/risotto and so on. Also if your party is over 14 people and it's a birthday you get a lovely cake for free. Just give them a heads up when booking.
Giving it a 4/5 for a few reasons...
1. It is very loud(there's a lot of people which you can understand...But then music is on too and quite loudly so you can't hear things very well).
2. We all paid a £5 deposit for our booking (groups of 14+ people require this). We went to pay and had to pay full price. We was refunded but only to the bank card which made the purchase of the deposit. Which will be refunded in 2-3 days so I now have to spend ages getting everyone's details to send them all their deposits back.
Other than that. It was a lovely evening with my family celebrating my early birthday ❤
J. i.
I booked a table for 10, then read reviews so was slightly worried. But we all had such a great evening. Service was fast and our server was friendly and helpful I was breast feeding my baby and he hunted down a straw for me so could drink my drink easier nothing was to much to ask for. As for food it was all good not 5 star but its an all you can eat! Kids loved all deserts. And salad bar is better than some more expensive places iv been! Will be returning
s. h.
Very nice place, variety of food from different countries Chinese, indian, Mexican, amazing food in general and clean toilets etc. Amazing place for going out with the family and excellent service.
N. M.
Came here with the wife, Sunday so lunch & dinner is same price, £13.99 per person. They've now adopted bookings being taken on the hour, we wanted 19:30 but was given the option of 19:00 or 20:00. Also they've reduced the time limit from 2 hours to 1 hour 45 minutes, which is a little annoying as I like to take a 5-10 minute breather between plates. Apart from those 2 niggles we enjoyed the service & food. Quality & choice is very good. Only being 2 of us whenever we go, we keep being placed on tables where people are walking past you on both sides, so this time we asked for a side table (preferably against the window). As it was late & they had cordoned off the majority of the 2-4 tables against the windows we were offered a both (seats up to 8). It was okay, gave us privacy but the light fixtures (over the round table) are quite low & I kept hitting my head on them (I'm 6ft 3).

We had lunch here today. Delicious and wonderful food, fabulous staff. Manager Evaldas made us feel like the most coveted guests or as good as at home. Thank you so much for a wonderful time.
J. T.
The food choices are amazing and the staff are great.. the only reason I give it 3 stars is the quality of the food is not amazing.. saying that the food is edible and there's a lot of it.. Great for kids and families but not fine dining.. worth a visit
D. B.
The largest all you can eat in Europe or so they claim. The choices are huge but I would be careful about your pic. The grill section is good, I wouldn't go for any seafood or beef stew. Bar staff are friendly, its an impressive venue and its a great place to take the kids. There is a downstairs bar which is nice and the prices are reasonable.
G. R.
Tasty dishes and desserts, different styles, different cuisines of the world, I think that everyone will find something for themselves ... I recommend
N. D.
Have heard about this place for ages and I'm so glad I went the food is amazing so much choice and great value also
K. K.
One of the Lovely places to dine, chefs are Professional. Special thanks to Indian Chef Prem and good customer service received from Sarath and James.
I. C.
Super, a great place to spend your free time with family or friends enjoying the best culinary delights.
J. B.
Was quiet busy took a while to get a drink other than that really enjoyed it
T.
Had such a great experience with my Princess and her babies. So much choice to eat and such a great atmosphere. We been many times in the past.
Perfect for families
T. H.
Lovely food but staff could have been a little more welcoming. Food was just plonked on the table with no explanation of what all the dishes were. Good value for money though. Definitely need to be hungry before you go there!
G. J.
Really nice , except because we were early, we were told to go in bottom bar. Unfortunately, you can't order from the bar but you had to order via your phone. I'm close to 60 and didn't have a clue what to do, the young bar staff were unhelpful so we didn't bother. Shame because we enjoyed the food upstairs
P. J.
Great place for a meal.
So much to choose from.
Definitely come again 🤩
P. T.
Food was nice. Stuffed after all we could eat and deserts!! 🥮 had a good variety of cuisines to try.
However quite busy to if you don't like heavy crowds maybe not for you. Also we were over charged for drinks told we had 10 refills when it was only 8 and we only had 8 refill glasses on the table. Two of the girls got cocktails which were on offer if you got two of the same which they did but were still over charged as if they bought separately.. and were practically bullied into paying by a man who spoke little English, or chose not too anyway so be wary of you bills!! But other than that.. pleasent experience. Worked out around £24 per person.
m. p.
Nice place and original concepts. The servers are pleasant, unlike the cooks ....
R. G.
Busy ! But never to the point we felt overwhelmed and couldn't get served. The waiting staff were unbelievably attentive given the amount of customers. There was a stag do right by us, but no drama at all. Great food with a huge selection too !
A. W.
Large selection of food of reasonable quality! Perfect for friends and family. Would recommend booking at peak times!
K.
People have been telling me about this place for so long and as an indecisive eater compounded with different likes from my spouse this multi cultural buffet seemed a slam dunk. The food was great and the bottomless fountain drinks were appreciated. I feel the Tex-Mex stand could use much more substance. The dessert stand didn't blow me away either. But we were well fed at the Italian, Asian and Indian counters. I'd go again but it wouldn't become my go to stop every time I'm in town.
I. H.
Nice staff, good food, Covid safe
T. L.
I believe this to be the largest buffet in the UK, and frankly you can tell. Inside, it reminds me of a village, with different "brands" selling food from different regions of the world.
The quality of the food is great especially for a buffet.
Staff is friendly and the decoration is cool and fresh.
However, I must admit: drink selection is poor and expensive for the bottomless option and very expensive for any other.
Desserts are terrible too and seem bought at the pound market. I'd rather pay an extra couple of pounds and have a proper dessert buffet than the awful one they have.
Same is applicable to the drinking.
Overall, a decently priced, fresh decor, wide-selection and prepared to a good (but not excellent) standard food aisles, with a lack of properly priced selection of drinks and terrible dessert menu.
K. S.
It was a very hectic place with people everywhere. For a buffet restaurant the food was quite good with the live cooking sections the highlight but some dishes were a bit bland. The biggest let down was that some plates were clearly still dirty when we went to pick up fresh plates.
G. R.
A decent selection for the lunch menu price
Y.
I went here for like my 8th birthday and it was great, I don’t exactly remember what I had but I remember my cousin got a lotta sushi or spring rolls, either one
m. f.
Great value for money and plenty of choice. The only draw back is that the food is not amazing, but still worth what you pay.
This has been the second time I have come here
S. Z.
Good place to trying different foods from around the world, good atmosphere family friendly
K.
Really enjoyed my experience, such a variety of food and the dessert bar was a personal favourite. My only criticism is that we arrived slightly early(10 mins) and were told to go through to the bar downstairs to get a drink, as we could only go to our table at the time we booked, only to be abruptly told by bar staff that we had to be seated at a table to order a drink. So we ended up just waiting in the lobby watching other customers be told to get a drink at the bar and then not be able to order one. I understand that if you had got there really early you could take a seat downstairs and order from a table but at that point we had five mins before we needed to head up. You have a limited amount of time at your table and so it didn't seem worth the trouble. Perhaps the staff could communicate better, instead of just sending everyone that's slightly early through to the bar or at least communicating that you can't order directly from the bar.
S. W.
The food was great.
The COVID hygiene was not.
There were hand sanitizer stations, but most I tried were empty and I didn't see …
M. U.
Great as always. The variety and quality food makes it worth a 45min drive
M. N.
Great selection of food. Liked the layout. Food was great!
A. M.
Packed with all types of food from all over the world I was absolutely brown away with the choices. Food was tasty and plenty of it . Had a wonderful night
J. C.
1st time definitely go again
B. S.
a very nice place to go out with friends
N. B.
Great variety of food, good atmosphere
A. H.
I love the vast selection of food from around the world. I had no problem with food quality, I would appreciate it more if people wore more masks but it was worth it. After my trip I was stuffed!
S. G.
A bit busy for me as disabled, and I found that only about 2% of covers and all staff only wearing face masks.
The food wasn't really at its greatest sadly. No …
M. v.
Great choice of food and superb venue for getting together with friends for a chilled out evening.
J. A.
Good variety, reasonable quality.
The Chicken Tikka is fantastic, the Piri Piri chicken is good as well.
P. M.
We stopped there briefly on Saturday evening after going past a number of bars on the riverfront. We ordered our drinks via the bars app and our drinks arrived in just over 10mins. The vibe was good and the music being played by the DJ was old skool so took me to my "youth" so I was happy. I'll remember this bar if I'm in Bristol again.
J. J.
Decent drinks. Good two for 1 offers. Great location by the harbour too.
P. H.
Delicious food, beautifully displayed. Don't have breakfast beforehand!
D. A.
Great choice of food, I will be going again.
S. P. F. c. u.
The buffet has varieties of food and tasty. Staff are friendly. Absolutely fantastic place to dine.
J. K.
Really nice food especially the Indian section such a big choice from chicken tikka masala sag aloo and butter paneer masala and more all were delicious BUT it was so so crowded if I don't catch covid from there I will be very surprised!
L. 2.
Love it here one of my favourite places to eat
s. w.
Nice place to go for a meal and its not that expensive with plenty of food stations to choose the food that's on offer
R. E.
Lovely food , a lot of choice too will definitely be going back
R. I.
Great place to eat anything and everything!
P. G.
Great place to try out new items as you can eat what you like as you help yourself
M. U.
Great as always. The variety and quality food makes it worth a 45min drive
S. F.
Lovely food, good selection.
A.
Really nice! But a little pricey. Worth going if you get a deal!
S. C.
This place is amazing, food is fantastic, and brilliant value
M. N.
Great selection of food. Liked the layout. Food was great!
P. C.
Amazing place, nice views from inside great dishes.
N. B.
Great variety of food, good atmosphere
A. T.
Food was nice but service was shocking.
B. F.
Always providing the best service and the food is decent. The 5 star is for the service.
S. K.
Can’t fault the food place was buzzing with people cues all the way x music is a tad loud but other wise amazing time
O. D.
First time wow impressed with all the food
A. W.
So much choice and everything so delicious. Staff very attentive and helpful.
J. C.
This place was like a sensory overload.... didnt know what to expect when i entered the building and was blown away by the hustle and bustle and shear size of the place . The front of house staff where very friendly and informative while the floor staff were too busy to be anything else . A good choice of tasty food from all over the world my only down side to this place would be the children running all over the place ...
S. G.
Went for a drink not food. But pleasant enough place
S. M.
Good value and friendly staff (extremely busy restaurant so walking around sometimes causes traffic jams!)
D. H.
Largest buffet I've ever seen! Great food! I would definitely come here again.
J. H.
Nom! This place is heaven every time we go its a blast! The food is always perfect they staff are very helpful.... if you can understand them and the live cooking shows are epic! No accidents so far though but ill keep an eye out for them 5/5 stars 100%
R. R.
Wonderful experience of almost all world cuisines. Absolutely love their Indian section. They do pani puri, chaat and live dosa counter on some days (mostly Fri-Mon; but best to check beforehand as it changes). The taste of their curry is very close to the authentic Indian curries. Absolutely loved their Saag Aloo (was sarson saag and not the usual spinach). Wish they did Rotis too. Fab experience for the whole family. Kids love the dessert platter and noodles live counter for customised noodles. They have Italian, British, Japanese, Chinese, Indian sections.
G. G.
Fine, if Cosmo is fully booked.
Maybe rethink the "Z" branding for now?
L. W.
Enjoyed the choice of food, friendly helpful staff, £3.95 for a coke a bit pricey even if it was bottomless. Would return again. Value for money.
A. H.
I love the vast selection of food from around the world. I had no problem with food quality, I would appreciate it more if people wore more masks but it was worth it. After my trip I was stuffed!
O. G.
Looks great inside and soooo much food.....
C. M.
I enjoyed my visit but wasn't blown away as family and friends told me I would be. Maybe because it was peak time but was hoping for a bit nicer food and service.
A. S.
This place literally has everything. I don't like Chinese food and the wife isn't a big fan of curry, so night's out can be hard. The curry selection here is amazing, with fresh made dosa, naans and chat masala. The puddings are hit and miss but the sticky toffee pudding is always good.
m. c.
Well we haven't been there for quite a time, because the bus route has changed and it was very hard to get from portished, but we found way, and nothing has changed the staff are incredibly nice and well trained, we had a lovely time, and excellent food as always. 😉
S. G.
Great value for money, easy process, just don't go big to start little bits otherwise you are full quite quickly.
S. m.
Hadn't been here for a few years, we enjoyed our lunch was very good value with refills on the soft drinks and the food available. I have to say I think we've had our fill of za zas now nothing had changed since we last came and that was a few years ago same dishes etc.. there's better places to eat in Bristol.
P. G.
I used to like ZaZa Bazaar but not any more. We spend the same money of going to a normal restaurant to being serve and with better food
c. j.
Amazing food lots of choice but not much choice on drinks
A. D.
A great buffet with more options than humanly possible to cover.
P. G.
We love this place, it's always a buzzing, street food atmosphere with a huge selection of grub. Our 3 young kids are big fans too, and for the price I think what you get is excellent. There's a row of big, square pods within which the chefs are all visibly hard at work. Each pod offers a different cuisine, from Chinese to American. The chefs are all friendly and many will cook dishes up to your liking. Given the size of the place it's always busy, (but this just adds to the atmosphere in my opinion) and as such the food isn't Michelin star - but you don't expect that here. It's still always tasty and fresh. You get 2 hours to sit and eat as much as you want(can). Pace yourself ☺️ drinks are a tad expensive but this is how they're going to make their money. The decor is fun and overlooks the water side which is cool. Waiting staff are always attentive and helpful. Can't go wrong for a fun and relaxed eating experience!
s. s.
Great choice of food, prepared just as you like, my family loves zaza x
C. M.
Fantastic choice of meals! Far East, Indian, Tex Mex. Lovely food.
D. G.
First time here food was good staff friendly loved the layout will definitely be visiting again.
L. S. C.
Excellent service. Outstanding. Will visit with my family again. Enjoyed variety of Currys and snacks.
J. D.
Great selection of food. Very busy place and can be a bit hectic. All you can eat for a great price.
A. D.
Very very good experience, loved the atmosphere and freedom, staff didn't seem very friendly, I have no idea what that was about, however receptionist were amazing, polite, food was good, reasonable price, would definitely come again
D. W.
Great variety of food, even on the limited daytime menu
B. C.
Last visited 5 years ago, when my Son mentioned all you can eats this place popped to mind. Thought I would drop a review it deserved, I rate this place over other multi cuisine places, plan to visit again some day.
A. M.
Packed with all types of food from all over the world I was absolutely brown away with the choices. Food was tasty and plenty of it . Had a wonderful night
G. D.
Good food with plenty of choice nice friendly staff and a great price
z. h.
Good Indian cuisine but so so for other cuisine.
N. G.
Struggles to find clean plates. Cocktails were mediocre, and food quality not great.
M. v.
Great choice of food and superb venue for getting together with friends for a chilled out evening.
S. C. P.
Nice place, nice food however less choice than there used to be.
S. C.
Great value, and fun for the children. Some of pasta dishes are a bit bland, but the curries and freshly cooked bits are great! You will leave in a food coma!
m. d.
A bit chaotic for me, I predate calmer places. The food quality isn’t brilliant either but I don’t remember when I ate that much last time for that price 😂🥴
A. H.
Massive place, wide variety of different foods, kids seem to love it, gets very busy so booking probably a good idea, very good price, but I still think cosmo buffet has more quality and variety (which is more expensive though)
P. J.
The staff were brilliant but the food was only OK. Because you are handling the same serving implements as all the other diners there is plenty of opportunity to pass on covid unless you are constantly using the sanitiser supplied.
A. P.
GREAT PLACE!
loved all the selection of food here.
J. S.
Not bad at all. Food reasonable very large variety. Good pricing. Kids under 5 free and under 10 half price. Very cheap dinner for a family of five.
R. W.
Really good choice of food. Great service
Y. B.
We're firstly disapointed they had changed to table service for covid, had to happen though. But when we were in there the manager stressed they would let us have whatever we wanted even if it was over the 'allowed' amount as they wanted to preserve the spirit of the place. I've been maybe 4/5 times now and they didn't dissapoint even in covid and frankly I enjoyed not being stuffed for time. It's an all you can eat so it's not Michelin starred but the range of food is brilliant there's something for everyone
k. m.
Absolutely amazing food..Great value for money
K. c.
Food was amazing, tasty and very well presented will defo return again 😋 staff where on point, smart and friendly x
R. S.
Amazing food really good choice of food highly recommending 👌🏽
F. M.
It was a great experience, with plenty of food and lots of choices. Very cheap for a place like that.
On a funny note, I'm sorry I couldn't eat more 😉
Definitely I'm gonna come-back
C. R.
All you can eat! Chinese, Italian, and vegetarian food. You can get your cake personalized:).
