We had dinner here on Thursday. From start to finish the experience was amazing. Luisa is a superb host and she goes the extra mile to make you feel at home, telling you a little bit about herself and what's behind the delicious food in front of you. Each course was a perfect balance between Sardinian and Scottish ingredients. We had 8 courses and left nicely full. It's hard to pick a favourite, we loved them all, from the canapés to the cured salmon with bottarga and fennel, the fish "meatball" on agliata sauce, the fregola with mussels, to the baby squid with orange and lamb lettuce. As a Sardinian that has been living abroad now for 15 years, it's nice to find places like this to make you feel a little bit closer to home. Grazie Luisa e a presto!

No words! Just the best dining experience I have ever had! Luisa was the most caring and attentive hosts. You could just feel she cared about every dish so much! Every ingredient was homemade (literally - olive oil sent from Sardinia made by her dad, extremely tasty melon aperitif made by her mum!). World class dining made with love and care - faultless. Edinburgh’s best kept secret (for how long is the question!) Can’t wait to visit again with as many friends I can muster together at once!

We haven't been to too many supper clubs, but this will definitely not be our last. Past the initial working out where to head to in Luisa's flat we settled right in and felt as comfortable as we would if we're going to a friend's house for dinner ...but of course the food is incredible. Luisa's flat is perfect for hosting such an experience. Clean, well thought out, and close enough to the kitchen so that you can talk to Luisa if you wish but also feel like you're having your own private space at your table. Luisa herself, a trained chef from Sardinia, prefers hosting like this rather than being in a commercial kitchen as she loves interacting with her guests but also loves preparing her dishes, best of both worlds for her then. And that certainly shows in both the passion and knowledge Luisa is eager to share about her home of Sardinia, her family, her experience in the UK and how all that translates on to the plate in front of us. Finally, her food, amazing. Not one dish that was served to us would be out of place in the best Italian restaurants in the City, in both taste and presentation. Any seafood is fresh and is allowed to sing in dishes that also champion the freshness of herbs, richness of a slow-cooked tomato sauce, or against pickled vegetables, so that in each small sized dish there are buckets of flavour and layers. You definitely won't leave hungry. But you will leave wanting to be fed by Luisa again.

My wife, son and I loved our meal at Luisa's. Her 10 course sardinian meal (plus digestivo) was exquisite. We particularly like the pulpo (octopus), courgette and sea bass, gnocchetti and apple sorbet. Wonderful!

Very few places produce such wonderful unique dishes whilst maintaining a beautiful atmosphere the way Luisa does. Being guided through each course bursting with fresh flavours by the chef that produces such high quality food is undoutably one of the best dining experiences you can have. I cannot recommend this place enough, especially while it is the hidden gem it is now.

I have been here for the first time for my birthday and will definitely be back soon! Luisa is super nice but very professional and the place is cosy and clean. I had the smoked cod and the sauce was just amazing!! I am Italian and the panna cotta al mirto was also super good! I really don't know how she can do all these amazing things all by herself!
