M. C.Place was clean and the staff were friendly and attentive. There wasn't a great selection of food and the curries were all cold and bland. The chicken tikka was delicious and the pakora sauce was good. Pizza was lovely, just like an Indian take away pizza. Decent selection of desserts. Bottomless drinks are always a bonus. It was an okay experience but I don't think I'll be going back as the selection wasn't worth the price.
A. C.First time trying Golden Grouse tonight (03.09.2022)! My partner isn’t a big fan of buffets but he really enjoyed here and also loved most that the seats aren’t to close to other tables. Our little girl refused dinner no matter how much we tried to get her to eat she just wanted a dessert… a couple plates she had! And they never even charged us the u10s rate… most places would have! Will definitely be back!! Outstanding food and a brilliant selection!
K. F.We visited this afternoon, for a booking of 10 + one 2 year old pre booked. We were all seated together and our waiter could not do enough for us. Our 2 year old isn't great at eating and didn't eat a single thing, we were not charged for him. We didn't feel there was a large variety of food to choose from and some of the food wasn't to our taste, or fairly cold. Although it is a small venue so they can only cater for the amount of people attending and it was very quiet. One of the waitresses, was miserable she definetly didn't seems to be happy working. Not very engaging with any of our table. The rest of the team were welcoming and friendly. We had a nice afternoon together and we were well looked after by our server.
The place was clean although it was empty.
A little overpriced for the choice and quality of food.
G. D.It's ok. Very small buffet option. 3 oriental dishes + fried rice and noodles. 3 Italian. Some very dried looking pizza on the shelf. I think there were 5 indian dishes. The sweet n sour is a no from me but I like the peppered beef and the noodles. For Indian, I tried the South Indian which tasted nice but a bit spicy for me. What I really enjoyed was their starters. The spring rolls was tasty and I really love the salt and pepper chicken. The dessert option wasn't too bad. Overall a nice lunch, just don't expect much.
C. R.Checked it out for the first time last night (didn’t realise hot flame wasn’t there any more). I can see why people are saying the selection is limited, but to be fair it’s pretty much the same size(ish) that hot flame offered? Everything we tried was good, particularly the lamb bhuna, which was soft and tender. Haggis pakora as well which you don’t see often now! Anyway, if you are local to Uddingston try it out!!
