Exceeded my expectations. Visited on 7th October 22, the restaurant has had a full refurbishment to the highest standard. Decor, customer service, and most of all the food was amazing. If I could give 6 stars I would. Huge choice of delicious food, the buffet must have had over 20 starter options, and the mains around 10. Cost was £18.00 per person. Highly recommended.

We as a family including our three little daughters do enjoy a good Indian every now and then, but I must say the Garforth Aagrah is in a different league altogether. You realise that soon as you find yourself looking at one hit signature Pakistani (wider classification Indian) dish after the other. And imagine all that in a buffet style dinner experience. All for under £20 per person. You will be spoilt for choice and will definitely need some time to adjust your bearings. I had heard much about Muhammad Aslam who has somewhat of a legend status among the U.K. Pakistani/Indian food connoisseurs and is regarded as arguably the best Indian restaurateur in the country. Aagrah Garforth is one of his chain of restaurants and it was indeed a pleasure to meet his son Waseem here who manages this particular branch. The family’s been in this business for well over four decades now but the passion and excitement in which young Waseem spoke of this restaurant (as if they’re just starting) was quite impressive. It was great to see how the main chef and the patissier would come out, on and off, keeping an eye on their dishes just to make sure things were alright. The manner in which they presented and introduced their food, suggesting what went well with what, clearly showed their strong sense of ownership and how proud and passionate they were about their cuisine. The waiters were equally attentive and friendly. We’ve been to an Aagrah before, one closer to home, but soon as we found they had three branches offering buffet namely Pudsey, Mid Point Bradford and Garforth, this being the closest, we thought let’s give it a go. And they did not disappoint. The buffet style + all Indian can get a bit overwhelming, especially for children, so the usual walk around to see what’s on offer before you actually grab a plate and dig in is essential and highly recommended. The food tasted very good and authentic (I know the word has lost its credibility but not in this case). The salad bar was impressive with an assortment of chutnis which we could tell were freshly prepared. It’s a great restaurant to bring family and friends and we will definitely be returning soon. They have a huge car park so absolutely no problem with parking there.

We had the week day buffet there was lots of choice and really tasty curries. There's a large selection of salad available and a good choice of starters. We finished with sticky toffee pudding which nearly melted in your mouth, the best I've ever tasted. Also 25% off on the July offer which was great. We will definitely go again and would recommend to anyone

Had the buffet and there was plenty of choice many starters and even found the lime pickle and lamb chops a good combination. Good selection of curries and rice and even a few desserts and a nice selection of ice creams. We'll worth the money 👍

Always great food. I'd always order from the menu as the buffet isn't as good as the main courses. Amazingly friendly and welcoming staff and aovely atmosphere. I'm a repeat customer as this one is better than the one in Leeds City centre by miles. The staff at this one are the ones you want. Always on form. Is it time to go to Aagrah again yet please?!

Only given 3 stars as that in all honesty is what it's worth. Staff very attentive but we felt rushed, we literally had our menus less than 5 minutes before we were asked to order. When we wanted more time it was like we were putting them out. We didn't know about the buffet and it was never explained or offered to us. Food was ok, all dishes seemed to taste the same however like they use the same sauce as a base for all meals. We were a table of 7 and were in and out in just over an hour and didn't feel satisfied but did feel skint, very expensive for what we had! Definitely wouldn't come back, will go back to the lovely little independent Indian restaurants where customers actually mean something to them.

We had a great evening, staff really friendly, 'switched on' & helpful. While waiting for 4 friends they took drinks order & gave us a guided tour of the buffet. Havnt Visited here in a good while as heard so many negative comments. Food didn't hit the spot , was looking forward to a nice curry , it was ok but nowt to shout home bout. Staff was friendly as always but seemed like now the buffet is in place ya seem to get rushed to eat and get out . The peroni on tap wasn't peroni it was sour , did mention this but nothing came of it . We ate from the menu bit pricey tbh didn't reflect to the quality.

Consistently great food. I love a good curry and have been to many places over the years and have to say that Aagrah is amongst the best, if not the best. All of the dishes as expertly crafted, and consistetly made. I'd recommend the fish dishes most, its a tough act to bring strong curry flavours and heat to a delicate meat such as fish, which the pull off effortlessly. The service is always great too, with friendly, helpful staff. Also, not sure if I've developed a covid belly but struggled to eat half of my usual order! 5 out of 5!

King Prawn Achar was sublime. Service was spot on, we were a large group and everything came out on time and hot. Paying the very different bills between us was a doddle by people saying what they had and paying at the till. Zero hassle when "he's had that, she had that but not those" and so on.

Had the week day buffet menu and was really impressed by the sheer volume of choice available. The staff were excellent and the customer service was outstanding. One of my colleagues mentioned he'd have preferred steak chips over the fries on offer... They appeared a few minutes later with little fuss and a generous smile. Everything was full of flavour and tasted fantastic. The exception being the ice-cream which left a lot to be desired. Fully recommended and I will undoubtedly be going again.

First time I have been to an Aagrah in quite a number of years, was once one of my favourites. However, it seems to have gone quite downhill. The menu resembles a Wetherspoons menu style now. The service was not great, with wrong orders turning up and being told that it's basically the same so that's what you get. Staff were not very attentive and when they did come, they were rushing to get everything off the table as quick as possible. On a positive note, the food was nice, so complements to the chef!

Buffet choice meals are now on offer which is great if your aim is quantity. There are plenty of choices of starters and mains but no Rogan Josh or anything as hot as a good Madras. It was OK but I won't be rushing back.

Came tonight had a lovely evening. The staff are great with no hurry to place order as the menu is extensive. Our food was fantastic and the portion size was perfect, so much so that we couldn't eat it all. Highly recommend to anyone looking for authentic Indian restaurant.

Once upon a time I would have given Aagrah Garforth 5 stars. I've been twice in the last 2 years and both times the service has fallen short. They seem to have taken on new staff and these members are causing issues. One waiter came the end of my table and asked me to hand out the drinks. This same waiter was asked three times for a glass of coke to which he ignored. When questioned at the bar he said it's not my fault, it's not my table to look after. In addition to the service it seems the restaurant is falling behind the times. They still write all food and drink items on notepads. The way the items are written makes it extremely difficult to understand what you are paying for. Makes it even harder if you're splitting the bill. Other restaurants such as Miller and Carter (literally down the road) have been using computerised billing and printing of receipts for years. It's time Aagrah Garforth changed with the times and maybe some adequate training for the new team members.

Not quite as good a service as it used to be, our waiter was constantly hovering around our table & would snatch plates from our table even though there was still our food on them ! A bit of common courtesy to ask if we'd actually finished would make all the difference. Their food standards are great so why are they in such a rush to take it back off you ?? 🤔

Usual prompt and friendly service, go regularly and usually rate 5 stars. Only 4 this time as some of our poppadoms weren't crispy/ cooked right?! Also, chocolates were hard and chalky white, probably been in a fridge too long? In fairness they apologised and immediately deducted poppadoms from bill. Starters and mains were usual high standard and generous portions. Delicious food, good value for money. Looking forward to next time 🤩

Food is nice as always but really expensive in relation to other quality Indian restaurants these days and service has fallen behind. They've removed an area of seated tables for dining to extend the buffet area, the buffet menu is cheaper but it means you get arrogant buffet goers constantly walking between the narrow passageways inbetween tables and if I'm honest when I go out for a meal its because I want a night off from it all so I want my food to be brought to me with service to match. Be a while before I go again, not how it was I'm afraid.

Nice large waiting area, with pleasant staff. This is a large restaurant so I was a bit anxious with the amount of people in here. But once we were sat at a table the worries faded. The meal was lovely and at a good price. My only criticism is the poppadoms weren't very nice and our group all shared the same view.

Been for Christmas buffet today and it was a joy. The service and the food was impeccable. The amount of choice on the buffet was fantastic, and there was still turkey, Yorkshire and roasties to be had. The staff are so friendly and courteous. I was a bit apprehensive as I've never been out for Christmas Dinner, but I think I'll definitely be going again. Marvellous experience

Really nice place staff are very welcoming and friendly. Food is very good and great range of drinks. Went with a group from work and we all had lovely meals, not a single complaint about any of the main dishes. Although we found that the yoghurt dip was a bit spicy and not cooling as we expected it to be. Other than that we had a wonderful time here. We will definitely be going again.

The food was great (would have given 5 stars) but no one took our name or contact details and when I asked about scanning the QR code, they said they didn't do that. The tables were close together and for some reason they filled each table in turn when the other side of the restaurant was empty so we could easily have been spread out. In these times this seems unsafe.

There was some confusion regarding delivery charges, which I believe we misunderstood - however the delivery driver was very understanding and let us off - so thank you so much! As expected, the food was amazing and certainly of the quality we've come to expect from the restaurant. As a recommendation, I'd suggest the Karahi Chicken! Great service every time we visit. We went as a group of 7 this time, on the whole the curries and sundries were delicious, however some were a bit salty. Once we told the staff we got another meal brought straight out. Thoroughly enjoyed the meal, atmosphere is lively and the menu is extensive. Highly recommend.

Good curry from a prominent local chain. Can get busy so advisable to book. The menu is extensive with all the standard menu items as well as a good selection of specials. Service is attentive but can be a little slow when it gets busy. Our bill took an age on our last visit.

Travelled 60miles from East Yorkshire for Agraah. The best indian food in the country in my opinion. Service fantastic, the waiters are professional, friendly and great with the kids. Not the same ! we got papadoms and pickles and they were very greasy and smelt there was 8 of us and 6 had issues with there mains . We didn't complain we just got on with it . I am here for new years eve 2018. Table 2. Just me and the wife. Last minute booking but the restraunt booked us in. Absolutely brilliant, 5 course set meal, entertainment On, the come to place for new years eve. We visit this place regularly anyway and it's nice to see a local restraunt find he extra mile like this at new year. The food courses are spot On, loads of food. We couldn't eat it all and the staff happily boxes up the remaining. At midnight there's a fireworks display too. Top marks to the Agraar and I am glad to see the same faces still here I seen since visiting since 2001. Thank you.

I have been dining at the Aagrah for many years and I must have tried half the dishes on their very extensive menu. Not once have I failed to be delighted - there is literally nothing on the menu that isn't delicious - even the pickles that you get with your poppadoms are top notch. Recently they have addressed my only criticism by improving the dessert menu - though the truth is most people are too stuffed from the curry to be bothered (I am gluttonous). Put simply, this is the best curry house I have ever eaten at.

I used to frequent the original restaurant in Shipley which was fantastic. Since expanding into a chain they've lost the atmosphere but still serve great food. The all you can eat buffet is great value, and the standard menu is vast. Good clean surroundings with efficient staff. They're just not as friendly as Mohammed Sabir's warm welcome at Shipley.

i got the buffet option, its really good and tasty my favorite meal was the chips always came back for more, when i finished with that i went on to the desert, had some ice cream the only bad thing is there are no labels at the desert station so i ended up putting curry mints on my chocolate ice cream. other than that it's a great place with lovely service and lovely food 5/5 stars.
