I would like to give a special Thank You to all the Sanjay Food team for the outstanding catering services for my wedding in October 2021. They performed with such professionalism and class. The service was spectacular from the very first meeting with Lai and Atul. Being able to execute such quality all the way from Leicester to Essex for a 2 day marquee wedding event has been a big highlight for all our guests who still to date have given endless compliments about the service and quality of the food provided by the Sanjay Foods team. The Sangeet we went for buffet stations with all sorts of different cuisines and for the wedding we went for the traditional Indian and we couldn’t have asked for anything else. The food was cooked perfectly and was piping hot at all times of serving. From the champagne reception, the canapés, the dinner and drinks the staff were all professional and probably the best I’ve seen in the industry. We had the best mixologists I’ve seen who served amazing drinks and cocktails even with a few tricks up their sleeves. Amazing entertainment for the guests! If anyone is looking for caterers for their wedding or any other events then Sanjay foods are the ones to go for. Thank you Atul and Lai for your help and patience and making it just perfect for us.

Sanjay Foods is without a doubt one of the best events caters in the UK. We had heard great things from multiple family and friends and therefore got in touch with Anit from Sanjay Foods. Anit was extremely polite and helpful from start to finish. We also spoke to Atul, the owner of Sanjay Foods, who again was lovely and made sure our day was perfect. On the day, they arrived early, set up the food and everyone said it was amazing. We had a gourmet buffet for lunch after our wedding ceremony followed by a three course dinner in the evening. Cutlery, crockery along with the amazing staff were perfect for our day. If you want a caterer who will ensure a stress free, amazing service and incredible food - choose Sanjay Foods, 10/10 would recommend.

I don’t usually post reviews however, I had my wedding at the ixl events centre back in October, and it was a dream. the food was outstanding!. From the minute I walked into the food tasting trial and had a tour of the venue I was impressed. On my wedding day, each and every course was delivered to perfection. My family and friends were raving about the food. Funnily enough I’m still getting messages from some family members enquiring about the food on my wedding… Highly recommend Sanjay foods for your special day. Although we had a busy schedule for the day, the organisation and attention to detail was faultless. I was amazed at how everything ran so smoothly and timely. I live in Leicestershire and the drive to the venue was around 45mins to an hour. That was the perfect distance as it was close enough for my family to drive on the day and also a good distance away to get away from the ordinariness of Leicester! The actual IXL venue had the most beautiful huge grounds to match the grand building. It had a countryside feeling and also grand interior which is captured amazingly in my wedding album. Atul and the team were very professional and friendly. Nothing was too much to ask for! Thank you so much Atul and the team at Sanjay foods. You gave me my dream wedding I wish I could rewind!. Nevertheless, I look forward to seeing you all again at my sisters wedding next year :) !

I love this place! Catered for my wedding four years ago and guests still talk about how great the food was, so when I realised they were now doing take away (Sanjay Express). I knew I had to celebrate our anniversary with a Sanjay meal. We ordered a variety of meals to share... The food was top class and cannot be compared to a run of the mill takeaway, high quality food delivered to your door. The kids aren't always keen on Indian takeaways but they loved it. Food arrived promptly and was hot upon arrival 10/10 and 100% satisfaction.

Ordered Sanjay Foods express (takeaway) and the food was awesome. Had the set menu for 2 (menu 1, non-veg) along with Malai chicken, aloo papri chaat and keema mattar. I've had Sanjay Foods many times at weddings before and the food has always been excellent, the takeaway was amazing as well. The set menu for two is actually great value for such high quality food. Having only recently moved to the area, I was glad to see during lockdown that Sanjay's were offering a takeaway service. I will definitely be going back for more. See you soon team Sanjay

We finally ordered a take away from Sanjay Foods and it exceeded expectations. From the telephone order, to receiving a confirmation call and collection, the service was professional with friendly staff taking the order. The food was amazing, tasty and surprisingly large portions so plenty left over for lunch tomorrow. We ordered paneer tikka, Lamb biriyani, methi chicken and butter chicken with rice and naan bread. The order came with a variety of chutneys, poppadoms, and a lovely salad all beautifully presented. Excellent quality overall. Couldn't ask for anything more after a long weeks work. Sanjay’s Express is always consistent - for service, the dishes, the portion size and the presentation. The food is absolutely delicious, I would not hesitate in recommending this take-away, it’s truly restaurant quality food enjoyed at home. There’s also great choice, catering for your different dietary requirements. The selection of dishes is fabulous and the flavour profiles delectable. The Jeera and Methi chicken dishes have wonderful rich sauces, the lamb is always tender whether in the biryani or in the Rogan Josh. The Salmon Tikka and Tandoori paneer are sublime, plus the array of sundries and sauces differs to other establishments, with the soft pillows of naan breads hitting the spot every time. I’ve worked my way through practically the entire menu and there’s not one dish that hasn’t lived up to my expectations. Atul, Lai-Yee and the team are so helpful and courteous, I urge you to try it out for yourself, I’m certain you will not be disappointed.

From the moment we came for for the food tasting we were totally impressed by not only the presentation of the food but also the taste. On the day they delivered exceptional food despite limited facilities in the kitchen. We had so many compliments from our family and friends on how amazing the food was. The team were very professional and efficient but a special thanks to Ella who was absolutely fantastic and went above and beyond for us on the day by making sure everything ran smoothly. Even prior to the event she was always there to answer any questions and nothing was too much trouble.. We really can't thank her enough. We recently got married at Dallas Burston Polo Club and dealt with Sanjay foods for both the catering and venue. From the beginning Lai-Yee and Atul were very approachable and easy to work with. Lai-Yee answered all of my queries and was very accommodating with our changing demands. The quality of the food was top notch and we were allowed to try a number of different dishes at the food tasting before deciding on our final menus. The service on the day was excellent with plenty of waiting staff and prompt cooking, serving and clearing up of the food. Many guests commented on how much they enjoyed the meals. Overall a very pleasant experience using Sanjay Foods for our wedding and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to others.

Sanjay Foods were the highlight of my wedding and still weeks later, everyone is still discussing how good the food was. It did take a little time to get through to them but it was in the middle of wedding season. Lia and Tanve were incredible in helping us decide the food for the occasion and gave us invaluable advice on what works well. I seriously can not believe these negative reviews because the whole business is professionally run by Atul and the incredible customer service runs through the whole team. The food was incredible, halal, and I cant rave about them enough. They maybe a little more expensive but still represent the best value because of the exceptional service and quality in the food!!

We would just like to say a long over due thank you too Atul, Lai-Yee and the whole of the Sanjay’s food team who went completely above and beyond our expectation at our wedding & reception. From the breakfast and lunch to the canapés, evening meal and amazing dessert station, the food was outstanding. We have received endless compliments on how good the food was but we have also had endless compliments on what a great service they provided to guests. They were very attentive to all the guests and constantly replenished food without the need to be asked. All the waiters knew what foods were what and what went into them. Our own personal experience of the service started the first time we met Atul & Lai-Yee. They completely put our minds to rest and took a lot of the burden of hosting an event like this away from us. They constantly kept us updated and would instantly respond to any emails we sent them. They allowed us to taste anything we wanted prior to the event, but not only us, they allowed both our families to come along and taste the food. This definitely helped us decide on what we wanted on the menu. They printed off a fab menu to put on the tables and also allowed us to display our drinks on their too. They controlled the whole event and ensured everything ran smoothly. Since our event, we have been to a number of other events where Sanjay foods have done the catering and each time the food and service has been out of this world. This feedback is in response to the review Safina Adam has written of the service Sanjay Food has provided and is not a true reflection at all, so I have felt compelled to respond as Safina’s ex sister in law. From our initial introduction, right up until the point when the wedding was called off, Lai-Yee from Sanjay Foods was always thorough, professional and supportive in everything that was asked of her. Lia-Yee was equal and fair in her treatment to both parties involved and went above and beyond to cater for both parties needs and requirements. Just to be clear, on this occasion, we were only using Sanjay Foods as our caterer for the day. Our family finds it most disappointing that Safina has chosen to use this platform to criticise a company for doing absolutely nothing wrong. Sanjay Foods was in no doubt in contact with both parties since day one and maintained a good professional relationship with both sides. The fact that we lost our deposit for cancelling a wedding 7 weeks prior to the big day, is not Sanjay Food’s fault. To then criticise them so publicly and inaccurately is very wrong. Our correspondence with Safina, both via phone messages, e-mail and verbal communication gave no indication as to what is now being said by Safina. In my opinion, no-one should disrespect a service they did not get to experience. I have the utmost respect and admiration for the service Sanjay Foods team have to provide and would 100% recommend them to anyone and look forward to booking them in the future. Nazmeen Kazi

We had the pleasure of Sanjay Foods co-ordinate and provide catering for our Pre-Wedding party (Carribean Night), Wedding and Reception. The level of service we received from the team especially Lai and Atul was exceptional. From the moment we rang them they were very informative and professional in their approach - me and my wife highly recommend Sanjay Foods. We attended a food taster like no other. We selected and shortlisted quite a few dishes we wished to try before confirming the dishes we wanted and they delivered with a variety of food to choose from, a professional welcoming studio to give us the full experience of being sat at a reception table and we also requested certain dishes to be made for us to try there and then which they kindly obliged to. They listen to what the customers want, for example we asked for certain dishes to be more spicy and others with less salt etc etc and i must say Lai took this on board and delivered on the day! We mostly dealt with Lai whom i must say is extremely professional and helpful. Any queries we had she was quick to respond, if she did not answer her phone, it was not long after she would be in touch with us. She kept us informed throughout the process and explained what the next steps were which we found great as for a couple planning a wedding you can imagine we had a 101 things running through our minds. Not only did Lai help us with the catering and running of the day, she also helped us with other suppliers on the day, giving us recommendations for photography, video etc which i thought was nice of her going over and beyond to help. Overall we had a very pleasant experience and if you choose Sanjay Foods - you will not be disappointed. Thank you to Lai and the team at Sanjay Foods!

This is a little overdue, but we had the pleasure of Sanjay foods hosting our engagement party at Winstanley house and what an occasion it was!! They were absolutely brilliant!! Lei, Ella, Atul and the rest of your team we owe you a massive thanks sincerely!! From our first meeting you guys made it so simple and stuck by your word!! The feast they cooked for both of our families for food tasting was unbelievable and very generous. The smile on our parents face said it all! It was beyond their expectations and ours.
