First time to try out African food. The taste is very different from other cuisines like Chinese or Indian, but it’s delicious and tasty. The restaurant is pretty small(capacity of 20 persons maximum?) and there are many art works displayed (mostly wood sculptures and are for sale). The homemade drink is also worth to try. The staff is very friendly.

We were looking for something warm and cozy on a rainy night near Euston. The place exceeded our expectations. Food is very homey and made us feel relaxed. I really liked the honey glazed chicken wings for starter 😍. Very good main courses as well. The place has lots of interesting artefacts on the walls and the owner is friendly and welcoming guy. it was a great pleasure.

Had the jerk chicken, oxtail, joloff rice & goat curry which was all beautifully cooked & very tender. Mango flan for dessert was excellent; not too sweet. Service 10/10 from a really lovely owner who genuinely loves giving people his food. Eat here. We also got given a free extra little dessert after we had finished!

My wife and me were there during January 2018. Tiny, cozy place (about a dozen seats), informal atmosphere, clean. Interesting flavors from center-western Africa (Nigeria in particular): we tried fish and chicken with mixed vegetables and sauce, both very good and tasy. Friendly owner, prices are ok.

Something different from the usual restaurant, a great place to try a variety of dishes. Some dishes are reheated in the microwaved but that didn’t doesn’t take away from the flavour, they can’t stew everything fast enough to make it to order! The ginger beer was homemade and was a really unique flavour

This is my second visit here and far more disappointing. The reason is the waiter/owner was grumpy and when I asked for a takeaway box for the moyin moyin he actually scowled! Wow. The moyin moyin is quite flavourful but the jollof rice is a real disappointment. I’ve had far better in Ghana.

Amazing food, tender meats, lovely host. Had a brilliant time and drank some great Nigerian Lager. Totally recommend this place, one of our best eating experiences

Wonderful friendly kind service and delicious home cooked food!
Just stumbled across this place whilst waiting for a train. The food was delicious. Genuine home cooked- had the mango lamb which just fell of the bone and a pumpkin flan which was amazing.
Such kind friendly service.
What more could you want!
Oh and very reasonable prices.
If you want somewhere to make a wet winter weekday evening commute special, this place ticks all the boxes.
Don’t be put off by two malicious reviews that have probably been left by mean competitors! All the meat comes from Dalston, which as any Londoner will tell you is completely Halal!
I genuinely love this place!
If you crave somewhere independent you will love this place too!
Will definitely come back!

Food is generally very good. I regularly bring friends who want another culinary experience to this restaurant. I have lived in West Africa and love the different mixes of spices that one can find at the African Kitchen Gallery. The place is well decorated and very interesting. I have had 1 less impressive experience with the food, which was overcooked on the 10+ times that I have visited. Otherwise, I have always enjoyed the subtle mixes of spices, great sauces, interesting choice of beverages and kind service.
