Great unpretentious restaurant with a thoughtful menu for everyone. It’s clear the menu here is very inclusive and there’s something for the local crowd, however I found my jalapeño and cornbread waffle very plain alongside the beans being lacking in seasoning. Glad I ordered bacon on top as it gave the meal a needed addition. Fits in well with the area and the staff were super friendly, eager to try again. The crowd I were with were disappointed in their portion size so if you go make sure you get extras.

Beautiful space selling quality store cupboard, grocery and baked goods, natural wines and barista made coffee. Particular emphasis on italian store cupboard and Pantry essentials with fresh baked breads/ sourdough and organic wines, beers and spirits. Oh, and both St. John's and Borough 22 doughnuts on the weekend, great washed down with barista made coffee or fresh baked viennoiserie and cakes.

Friendly local deli, stocked with a wide selection of food incl veggies, excellent bread and baked goods. High welfare meat, beer and wine and a wide selection of Continental food stuffs. They serve great coffee too.

The food was just YUM! Loved the space and the atmosphere. We sat at the bar and it was like we were at a friend's house just altogether having a meal. Staff was really nice and attentive. We tried as many dishes as we could as it is sharing plates. All the flavours were just mouth watering. Felt so blessed to live just next door to this place!

Excellent restaurant a bit out of the way! Service was fantastic, with a great atmosphere in the dimly-lit hipster venue. It's kind of a sharing plates type cuisine, and I'd recommend about 2-3 per person. I had the gnocci which was delicious, with a great selection of wines too! The food was amazing and came quick - the only fault was that one of our dishes (the roasted squash) came cold and chewy so we didn't eat it, but they had prepared it in a hurry to accommodate some of us who arrived late (me :/) so we could hardly blame them! The cost was very reasonable too, would certainly come back!

The food is very tasty and nice presented. You can feel the ingredients are great quality.the service is fast and the staff is smiling and friendly. Prices are in the norm for this sort of place in London. The only think to consider is that the place is pretty small with two big table to share with others and the space for kids prams is tight. We been there as soon as they open so we didn't experience any problem with our little one but I guess is something to keep in mind if you get there in busy time.

Haven't eaten here yet but I will! Decor and atmosphere is cosy and welcoming. Staff were delightful and informative. They make a cracking coffee too. Keen to try the tapas style dinner menu with English food (the dishes on offer change every night)

Great food. Worth the trip to Francis Road on its own. A good selection of options for vegetarians. The coffee I had was great and there is seating out the front door when the weather is nice!

Fantastic addition to Francis Road, has a small but very decent menu. Decor is very nice inside with seating at the coffee bar and long tables towards the front window. Staff are lively and friendly, we were served immediately on walking in on a Saturday morning. Highly recommended!

The Mocha's from here are always a nice treat as they put real pieces of chocolate in. They have a good selection of alcohol and goods.

British tapas. Food tasted good though each plate could have more food.They recommend getting 2 or 3 plates each but gets abit pricey then. Not recommended for big eaters. The Service was good and friendly. Definitely will go there again.

Marmelo has transitioned to a store selling excellent provisions, including excellent breads from wild goose bakery. We are big fans of the burger box- everything you need for a top notch burger!

Been here for brunch a couple of times and the food has been really good and well priced. The service is excellent and the staff are lovely. Only downside is getting a table, it fills up quite quickly so best to book in advance.

Fabulous seasonal food, amazing vegetarian selection and all close to home. don't expect the same dishes to be on the menu every time you visit as the menu constantly changes - try everything while you can! Warm, friendly service, now a firm favourite of mine. Thanks Marmelo!

My partner and I have visited Marmello on many occasions and have never been disappointed with any of the many dishes we have tried, a few maybe not to our taste but always perfectly presented and cooked exactly as expected if not better. Me being a veggie and my partner a full on meat eater it is amazing to be able to dine together where one of us does not feel left out the menu as we often do in other restaurants. Marmello is cosy and cute we don’t feel smothered or unattended, infact we often have a little chat with the staff before we leave and complement the chef and are always warmly greeted and seen out of the door. What a brilliant hidden gem located within a recently developed pedestrianised area behind Leyton High Road. Beautifully cooked and presented seasonal menu. The only problem is convincing your friends to make the trip over to Leyton to try it out.
