From the moment I spoke to Jake at Octopus I knew this was the right catering company to ensure my husbands 50th birthday ( garden BBQ) party was a success. He worked closely with me on the food, drinks, catering equipment and staff requirements ( for 45 guests) and ensured we kept within my initial budget. He was always contactable and came to view our garden beforehand, making reassuring suggestions should we have bad weather. The day was perfect, running smoothly and to plan. Guests all commented on the professional staff and service, delicious food and cocktails. We couldn't have been happier with everything and I would certainly use this company again and recommend Octopus to my friends. Thanks again for all your help and making the day memorable. Anita

Fantastic service, great value and tasty food! Jake and his team catered for our wedding - 150 people at The Cinema Museum. The venue is beautiful and quirky but doesn't have a lot of facilities so not the simplest event to cater - not a problem as but Jake is fantastic at logistics and planning. He'll work very hard to make sure the event is as you want it be while meticulously working out the fine details to make everything go smoothly on the day. The food was lovely - hearty Sausage and Mash - and very reasonably priced. The team on were very efficient and friendly, just what was needed. I'd very much recommend using Octopus Food as you know you're in very reliable hands with them.

Encouraged by earlier reviews, we contacted Jake about catering for a large drinks party at our house. As soon as we met him, we knew we were in good hands. He listened carefully to our concerns about space, understood that we wanted guests to feel well-fed even with just finger food, and guided us away from some initial ideas to others that worked perfectly. He was never in sales mode: on the contrary, he kept advising us not to order too much and said we’d do better to buy drinks directly rather than through him. On the day, the service was impeccable and the food superb. We were able to leave everything to the team and just enjoy ourselves. In the words of one of our guests (echoed by many others): “Delicious food offered in a seemingly never-ending stream.” I’d recommend Octopus Food without any reservations. First rate.

Octopus Food provided the catering for our wedding reception. They helped us plan the menu, tweaked the menu choices according to our preferences when we did the tasting and on the day cooked a delicious three course meal for about 120 people.
