Some of the dishes we had, particularly when it came to the cold mezzes, gave us a good idea as to why Yasmeen Restaurant & Cafe has, in a short period, received a number of awards.
We're confident in saying that the Hummus, Vine Leaves and Moutabel were some of the best we've had. However, while the starters were, on the whole, impressive, the two mains didn't quite maintain the high standards, despite the Mixed Grill of kebabs being thoroughly enjoyed.
And though one of the two desserts will have us cooing for some time to come, overall, we concluded that this Lebanese restaurant serves above average dishes, with a few outstanding ones, in an elegant setting.
Apparently, the restaurant also does a Kunafa that takes 24-hours to freshly prepare, and, we were assured, would beat any Kunafa out there. Sadly, we only learned of this half way through and, thus, didn't get a chance to test the claim.
There's a discretionary service charge of 12.5% added to the bill. Yasmeen Restaurant & Cafe also offers a full catering service.
Menu Recommendation
Drink - Champagne
Starter - Hummus/ Vine Leaves
Main - Mixed Grill
Dessert - Mouhalabia
HALAL STATUS: Alcohol served

Accidentally discovering Yasmeen on th Google map, I tried Bahrain and Morocco cusines for the first time, the kind and warm staff's explaination and serving made us feel comfortable and have a great experience there. The staff recommended us to visit Bath, I hope to do nex time. Thank You so much~!!
Anyway I sincerely recommend this restaurant to anyone wants to try the cusines or plan to go Abbey Road Cross of Beatles!!!

Just had early dinner at this restaurant and it was absolutely great. The staff were polite and service was friendly. We told them that we just moved into their neighborhood and the guy welcomed us very pleasantly. Food was very good. We had moussaka and butter chilly prawns and both were delicious. We also tried their chicken and lamb wraps and they were pretty good too. Definitely will return . Thank you again for the hospitality and great service.Cheers!!

*update* we had the chance to try the revamped menu tonight, and we love Yasmeen even more (if that was possible) - a lot of new starters (including the calamari and chargrilled lamb/cheese pita sandwich), and a new selection of Moroccan mains, including plenty of tajines. The presentation of the dishes and the flavours are even better! The terrasse has been beautiful redone as well. Always such a treat to have dinner at Yasmeen, thank you!
A favourite of ours - the hors d'œuvre are all delicious (the Humus Kawarma, with minced lamb, the Fatayer and the Prawns Fried are all amazing), and the mains are very generous (the Damascus Kafta, delicious lamb meatballs in a tomato sauce served with rice) is big enough to be shared by 2. Plus, in the summer, the quiet terrasse is lovely, with enough space (for once!) between tables and comfortable chairs. And you can book a table outside! Service is attentive and lovely, and the Lebanese house wine at 24£ is perfect.

Superb food and service. Our top favourite restaurant in London so far.

One of the closest restaurants near home.
First visit in 03rd June 2018. It was during Ramadan; we were given some dates for iftar
Very welcoming and polite staff. The restaurant is off Abbey Rd, on side street.

The food is absolutely delicious. Very polite and professional customer service and very easy to contact. Great quality food worth every penny! Thank you again!

Very highly recommended, authentic kitchen full of great food, very generous meal with great service and value ! Who needs more than that..

Dropped in because we read their reviews. We were not disappointed! Fabulous food, wonderful service and an introduction to a great Lebanese wine. We had a great time, thoroughly recommend! We will be back@

One of the best Middle Eastern restaurants I’ve ever tried in London, reasonable prices and lovely service. Yasmeen kitchen never fails to amaze me with their top quality dishes❤️ It’s a must try, I recommend.

Amazingggg food and loveley service also very responsive and I definitely recommend it to everyone who loves middle eastern food.❤️❤️

Food was either very good or average depending on the dish. Meats were cooked rather dry, soups were delicious and so were falafels.
The service was kind and obliging but lacking in professionalism. The waitress would serve drinks by holding the top of glasses and bottles where you drink from with your mouth... that was a bit shocking.
I would give it another go as maybe this was an off night but so far that’s our opinion.
B. H.
Fantastic food. Great service and responsive. Recommended to all my friends.

I thought this place was ok. I would probably give it 3.5 stars because the desserts were more western and what I prefer. Other than that I could not find anything distinct about this Lebanese compared to others I have been. I have to admit they all merge into one.
We are vegetarian and had falafel, halloumi, hummus etc. For dessert we had the chocolate fondant. It was very rich and quite bitter. I think the centre could have been more runny.
We spent 33 each. This was for 5 starters, a dessert and a drink each. I think this restaurant is on the more expensive side.

Excellent service. From start to finish. Food and service were of very good standard. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend or return. Definitely a little gem in St. John's Wood. Lebanese wine is worth a try, lots of character and uniqueness. Their food equally shared the spirit of Lebanese cuisine. Thumbs up all the way.

I had the most amazing experience at Yasmeen. It was for my grandfather’s birthday. Service, food, drinks was top notch without the top notch price tag. Highly recommended for anyone looking for great Lebanese food.

Went here for Valentine's Day, really liked the decor of the restaurant, and the staff were friendly. Was strangely empty for the romantic day of the year, and the barman wasn't around so no cocktails.
That said the food was delicious we both had the mixed grill which was good value for money. Will be going back here again.

I was never disappointed with the food here , it is always fresh , tasty and one of the best definitely

I went here yesterday for a work team lunch and it was fantastic. The service was quick, Bashir's team are a delight, especially the young lady who brought my latte out in record time I have ever experienced. The food - well I got some of the remaining food as takeaway - so I was doubly satisfied. A real taste of Lebanese food - I even tried new food I had never known about. And! the halloumi was delicious. I usually avoid this in restaurants because it's hard to not get this tasting like rubber, but at Yasmeen I even asked for more. Enjoy!

Delicious food, very neat place. Incredibly clean and great waiting service. However it is a bit on the expensive side but then again it is worth it. The food is fantastic. It is located on a private road so it is very quiet and you are able to dine on their patio.

We've not eaten specifically much Lebanese food before, and the staff was super helpful in helping us explore a few options. We have had falafel before, but this was one of the best I have ever eaten. I wish I lived near this place, or I'd be here far more often.
M.
Great food! Ordered todays dish, Lamb Frikeh and it was delicious. Will be ordering again for sure.
E. W.
Eaten here a few times now since moving into the area, been brilliant every time. Really warm and attentive service and a wide selection of Lebanese dishes. Particular mentions for the fatoush and Baba ghanoush which are both excellent. I haven't had any of the mains on my visits, but have picked a range of the cold and hot mezze options to share with friends- would definitely recommend that approach!
Will certainly be visiting again very soon!

I can say enough about how lovely this place is! Food is fantastic and service is lovely. The setting is really warm and nice whether its a family night out or a date. Highly recommended
A. A.
The night started quite well. We liked the decoration of the restaurant, the ambience, the soft music that allowed a good conversation, the detailed menu, etc. After taking a look at the variety of options, we chose our starters and mains. I ordered the fried kibbes and the lamb tagine, along the lemonade that was recommended in other review I read. At this point it was a 5 star experience. My other 3 colleagues also enjoyed their food. Vegetarian couscous and kofte tagine if I'm not wrong.
All was so good, we decided to order a dessert. And how can you go wrong with ordering baklava at such restaurant?
Well, what a shocking surprise. Hard Rock baklava. Stale, with the syrup solidified, and with an hilarious 'clang' one piece of it made after falling in a plate.
We told the person serving us that it was really bad baklava, my Egyptian colleague tapped on one monolithic piece to demonstrate its outstanding hardness, and this person sheepishly lied telling us it was fresh.
We were so amused and laughing so hard about this abomination that we left it pass; but just as a good dessert can save a bad dining experience, a bad one ruins any previous enjoyable meal.
How much does it cost to make decent baklava? Does it really worth losing clients and earning a bad review a couple of pounds?
My advice to the owner: Throw it away, or even better, give it as a courtesy just before it reaches such a sad state. Tell your clients to choose a different thing... Crass quality mistakes as this will harm badly your otherwise enjoyable business.

Cons:
Do NOT order the baklava
By far the worst baklava i have ever had in my life .it was literally rock hard(like it was old and was stored way more than it should), it was absolutely hilarious how hard it was that i was too busy laughing and forgot to take a picture , it costs 7 pounds and some change for 6 pieces i wouldn't even eat if it was given to me for free.
Pros:
-booking online via the website was very easy and convenient
-The restaurant looks super nice
-The menu was very clear , and the website had many pictures which i find helps a lot when ordering.
-I ordered a hot starter of fried butterfly prawns which were good but nothing special .and main dish of shish tawook with rice which was ok.
-overall a nice place to go to just avoid the baklava

I've been here twice . Both times enjoyed great food& Lebanese wine was excellent. Staff were friendly and attentive. Will visit again soon!

Really enjoyed our meal here. The menu includes both well know dishes and more unusual ones. All were delicious . Service was friendly and the price very reasonable.

“A FIVE STAR MIDDLE-EASTERN RESTAURANT WITHOUT THE FIVE STAR PRICES”
My wife and I were in London for a week last month (July 2015). We stayed at the Sofitel St. James Hotel and had a wonderful time there as we always do. We wanted to invite few friends for lunch; so we asked the concierge to recommend a restaurant that will impress our guests but not break our budget. He recommended a new restaurant in the St. John's Wood area called Yasmeen. What a delightful surprise. The food was to die for, the service impeccable, the decor very elegant and the prices very reasonable. Everyone in our party had a wonderful experience.
Can't wait to go back to London and have another meal at Yasmeen.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Lovely atmosphere.Very nice and tidy restaurant. Me and the wife were greeted with a smile as soon as we stepped inside which made us feel welcomed. lovely food and very quick service. I would reccomend this place and will be visiting them again with out a shodow of doubt.

The food is delicious. Perfect spice. Reminds me the food from my grandmother.
B. A.
Its the best Lebanese and Moroccan cuisine restaurant in entire London. Both their food and customer service is 5 star quality. I would strongly recommend you to visit the restaurant.
H. B.
As we entered Yasmeen Restaurant we were welcomed with a smile and seated immediately.
There were ten of us altogether out on a work do and I'm always sceptical when in a group that the service won't be able to manage all of our expectations, but I must say... I was very pleasantly surprised. The waitresses were attentive, the ambiance was comfortable and the Lebanese food was delicious and served fresh in good time. I, and a few of my colleagues had the shish taouk main which I'd recommend as we all thought it was very tender. Some of my other colleagues had the falafel, baba ganoushe and kibbeh etc... at the end of the evening, it was clear that everyone really enjoyed their meal!
All in all this place is definitely somewhere I will go back to and will be recommending to my friends and family. Keep it up Yasmeen!

I had a wonderful experience at Yasmine restaurant. On my way home I noticed that beautiful place with white table clothes which I like. I've parked my car ( had to pay for parking but it was only £1.5 I think). As soon as I entered I understood that I made a right choice as the restaurant looked very clean and chic. There wasn't many people as it was Tuesday afternoon. The manager offered me to choose any table I like and he never tried to move me to a smaller table as I've chosen to sit at a table for 4 ;) even before getting a menue I got a plate with olives and a warm wet towel ( was very pleasant). I ordered humus and shish tauk with rice (there was a choice between rice and a French fries) . Unfortunately I forgot to make a picture of the main dish( it was amazing 👌🏼🤗 When I they served me with my delicious humus they also brought some fresh warm flat bread 👏🏻 I had couple glasses of wine ( asked to bring me "something nice " and they brought me some beautiful wine ( didn't ask which one was it). The total bill was very cheap for that kind of place £35. The staff was super welcoming and very polite! When I have a chance will definitely come again! Thanks for my super experience!

What can I say? Food to die for and delicious Lebanese wine. Bashir (?) was attentive - to the point of annoying my companion - but I adored him. I'm trying to find reasons to eat in St John's Wood. Loved it.

Once I came to London in 2016, I always wanted to have good Lebanese food. However, the restaurants claim that its Lebanese, but it does serve true Lebanese food. Yasmeen Kitchen is one of the best restaurants that serve Lebanese cuisine. The food is delicious, the staff are very friendly, and the serving time is fast.

An absolute gem in St. John’s Wood and probably the best Lebanese food I have had! Never disappoints :)
