I've eaten in a few times and had good meals but my recent takeaway was below expectation. The korma was ultra sweet and the hotter curry had little taste especially as I was expecting a good dash of chilli and garlic. Other people speak highly of here and maybe my experience was a one off. I'd try it and decide yourself.

Ordered lamb korma, lamb dopiaza, coconut rice and bhaji as takeaway. Got home and have chicken korma. Paid for lamb which is a few pence difference. The chicken korma was great but if you can't get an order right on a quiet night. No idea how they would cope if it was busy.

Very slow service, 40 mins wait for a starter, then 20 mins wait for a main, was sat by a window which was open, so lots of little fly's came in, wrong nan, brought to table first, then other nan dry no melted butter ontop, and one piece burnt. Worst visit we have ever had, normally place is excellent.

Our local! Never had a bad meal. Sat in tonight for a change and was as good as ever. Service very quick (maybe a bit too quick, in and out within an hour) but friendly staff and good food. Will keep going back

Nice place and apart from me everyone in my company was very happy with their meal. However, my Chicken Jalffrezi had a lot of oil on top of it and the desert was so frozen that it was impossible to consume even after 10 minutes of it being on the table. I gave it four starts because everybody else was happy and this place came highly recommend to us.

Firstly this place always does great food (I've visited 4 times now). Depending on how busy the restaurant is the service can vary quite drastically. Quite a quirky place I found, last time I visited they had a DJ booth setup blasting 90s hits full with a laser kit from 7pm onwards!

The ultimate local takeaway Having been to India and sampled a lot of Indian takeaways I can honestly say that this one is excellent. I would STRONGLY recommend having a pint (or 2) while you wait. You won't regret it. I've tried almost everything on the menu and have never been dissapointed. If you do have a problem or unusual order just ask, nothing ever seems to be a problem here. Make this your regular takeaway!

Large Indian restaurant in this pretty village. Food is of average standard for this type of establishment. When I visited it was pretty empty so not much atmosphere and not the buzz of a really popular place. Service was OK but again, not up with the best.

been to the Angel on numerous occasions and food and service is excellent, cant understand anyone who gives this place negative feedback, everyone i have taken there simply want to go back again and do. The only negative i can give it the buffet when on is a bit lacking in choice, far from the best buffet ive had but if you want a good deal go on a Tuesday evening as everything for £9.95 a head, very good value

Food is of a good standard but service was very poor, we ate there on a Sunday and had the buffet which was nice but when the food ran out there was no urgency to replenish the empty server pots, we actually came away still hungry, it’s such a shame because it appears that we have to travel miles for a decent Indian meal these days.....

This is a restaurant that does take away food. Unfortunately the takeaway side of the business is very popular, so there is a bit of a wait in the restaurant. Good quality food & very friendly staff.
