I attended a wedding and reception last weekend at a small venue in Peterborough where Chef de la Maison had set-up an outside cooking area and served to the tables inside the venue. The food itself was simply spectacular - I had a chicken based starter and a steak based main, the quality of the ingredients was clearly excellent and the meat was cooked brilliantly. I estimate that there must have been about 100 guests and everyone I spoke to had a similar view of the food they had eaten. I am also very impressed that the food was all served at the same time (as far as the waitering team could serve about 100 plates!) I would have expected you would need a much bigger cooking team and area to achieve this - the logistics of the cooking was as impressive as the food itself. The team were all also very nice, professional and engaging. I even snuck a bottle of the secret sauce from my table so I can enjoy it at home! (well would have been a shame to see it go to waste!!)

Wonderful, high-quality, fresh and delicious food boxes. We arranged to have a box delivered to my parents for mother's day, as well as a box for us and a kid's box for my daughter, everyone was seriously impressed. The amount of tasty treats has kept us going all weekend. Thoroughly recommended 🌟

Charis and the team at Chef were wonderful, so understanding when we had to postpone and then checking in with us on the lead up to the big day to make sure we were all on the same page. The taster session was, just, wow. It had us looking forward to our wedding breakfast all year! Charis was so patient when dealing with the ever-changing requirements of a covid wedding (thank you!) and was fantastic when catering for many different allergies and dietary needs. Even to the point of individual evening buffet boxes for our gluten free guests, and tweaking the menu to avoid gluten and nuts so everyone could enjoy. On the day they were such a welcome part, ever-helpful, friendly, polite and professional. Thank you so much, especially for the most amazing barbecue ever. I couldn’t even begin to pick a favourite. Everything was delicious, all of our guests ate more than they could really fit in, and everyone has since commented how lovely it was! Highly recommended.

We have ordered the Luxury Afternoon tea for 2 twice now, the second time very recently for a birthday treat which included the vegetarian option. Both times we have been impressed by the service including ordering and delivery. The products were good value for money, beautifully presented and to a high standard. It is so rare to find such a friendly & caring team as Chef de la Maison. We ordered the individual afternoon tea boxes for our dads wake which allowed everyone to say goodbye in a safe and socially distanced way. We have used Chef De La Maison numerous times over the last 8 years for corporate and private events. The care and attention to detail that goes into their food - regardless of the event and venue - is exceptional. Whether it’s freshly cooked food or pre-packed lunches; Chef De La Maison always deliver 5* food that our team love. With nearly 50 members of staff, ensuring our whole team all have something delicious to tuck into is no easy task, but Charis and the team make it look effortless. Whenever we have requested lunch bags we have always received a wide mix of sandwiches suitable for everyone; including vegetarians. Having used Chef De La Maison for several years now and experiencing both hot and cold food, we can 100%, unreservedly say that we would recommend them to anyone looking for caterers for their next event. I have a peculiar set of dietary requirements (medical issues not whimsical affectations) and generally struggle to find things which I can eat at fully-catered organised events. Yesterday I attended a wedding reception where we were served a 'High Tea' shortly after arrival, followed by a Hog Roast later in the evening. The Bride had, thoughfully, contacted Chef De La Maison and explained that there would be a single guest who would need to have 2 meals consisting of an entirely separate menu from the remainder. Chef De La Maison (Alison Wood, specifically) rose to the challenge, magnificently. I had my own platter of delightful sandwiches; the fillings were specially tailored for me and, most gloriously, I was able to eat and enjoy my very own plate of cakes and biscuits. My evening meal included a fillet of steamed salmon (I noticed quite a few of the other guests looking enviously on) and a specially created bowl of coleslaw. Not only was all the food, itself, delicious (a fact confirmed by my partner who has no such dietary restrictions) but the sheer joy of being able to enjoy a fine meal to the standard of those around me is not something I am often able to experience. All of the Chef de la Maison Ltd staff were professional, obliging and friendly. I really cannot recommend them highly enough......especially if you might have a guest in attendance who has special dietary needs.
