Really really good place to eat, in a quirky location, made to feel at home from the moment we walked in and the staff were all very helpful. The Mac n cheese I had was outstanding and the portion was massive, garlic bread was also fantastic. My mate had the breakfast which looked amazing and he confirmed that indeed it was. Nice outside seating area too which was an unexpected bonus. Top effort

Me and the Mrs popped in for a bite to eat. Good atmosphere, polite staff and all round good feel to the place. The food….. the food completes the experience. 10/10 on the first visit…. Will be trying their evening menu very soon. Keep up the good work guys 👏🏽

A hidden gem, from walking in and going up the stairs to find the Rustic Chef from that moment on what a treat, we went as a family and we were welcomed on entry and told of the special breakfast menu items and also shown the specials board, Paul the chef came over and talked to us about the menu and we all decided on the tandoori chicken fries, Paul is enthusiastic and cares about the food he produces and you can tell that by the way he talks to you and the food he served up. The food was lovely and the fries were soft and fluffy and crispy on the outside, the chicken was full of flavour and melt in the mouth tender with finely chopped salad it was delicious and I would highly recommend it and I left there with a smile on my face as we had found a great new place. Nothing was too much trouble and the staff are all very friendly, the way that The Rustic Chef is doing things, is a lesson for many places I have eaten in over the years. The Rustic Chef is only open until 2pm and then they do a delivery service from 5-9pm, now I have never used this service but I definitely will do it in the future, an easy deserved five stars.

Some may say I am biased, but today I had the best Classic Breakfast at the ‘Chef cooked by Kallum. Excellent food, nice quiet and friendly atmosphere. Well done team x

This was the best breakfast I have ever had, and I was made so welcome. I fully recommend it to everyone. You need to go into the mall in Oakengates down to the back then up the stairs to find it, but it is well worth it when you do. Cheers lads, it was superb!

I had the spicy chicken wings with the best ever chips! You just gotta try them in this cosy cafe.Great,helpful service from the team. You can have alfresco dining at the roof top too.It's a little gem that's hidden away on the 2nd floor, so look for the clock at the High Street and find your way from there.

Lovely little cafe gone above and beyond to get me what i wanted they don't do cold sandwiches so paul the guy behind the counter went out to co op to get me ham for my ham salad sandwiches as a carer dont get much time to sit and eat so wen u do its a luxury thank u I really appreciate it definitely will be back 😊 again
