I should at 76 years, born & reared in Belfast N.I. be embarrassed to admit that l had never set foot in the Presbyterian Assembly Building before. That said l thoroughly enjoyed the actual Scottish influence in Northern Ireland. On leaving the Assembly Building l felt somewhat ashamed that l had left it so long and also the guilt that our family are of Scottish origin, the McAllister's & the Broons from Ayshire and settling in the Ards. Then at 8 years of age and diagnosed with a very bad kidney infection my Aunt Madge and Uncle Francie brought me to live with the them in Loughries the Ards. But then that's life. D
