Due to covid-19 I haven't yet had the chance to go inside. Hopefully that will change in the not to distant future.
For many years I felt a connection to this church and through searching through my family tree I found out my grandmother was blessed in this church. So my feeling was right.
The church looks beautiful. A proper old church. The grounds could do with better care. The paths need cleaning to keep them safe for everyone.
But if you're looking for an old church with a lot of history connected to Birmingham then I'd highly recommend this one.

Beautiful Church of England church with friendly people! Sound teaching based on the bible. All are welcome! Stay for tea and coffee after the service to get to know these lovely people!

Welcome to Aston Parish Church Birmingham.
The church’ name has its origins in 100 years of dispute as Aston fought against being taken over by Birmingham. In 1911 Aston was absorbed by Birmingham, but there are still reminders of the 19th century municipal strife.
There has been a church on the site in all three millennia. The tower, built in 1480 and the huge Victorian church structure make a clear statement about the wealth of the area until the Holte estate was divided up and sold off in 1817. Until 200 years ago, Aston was a more important place than Birmingham. The history of the church cannot be separated from the history of Aston and local people
