Reviews of Brighton & Hove City Brass

Brighton & Hove City Brass Band played at my wedding earlier this summer and I couldn't recommend them highly enough. The team were incredibly easy to deal with in the lead up to the day - flexible, accommodating and friendly - and then absolutely brilliant on the day itself. They were absolutely perfect in setting the scene for a happy and fun-filled occasion. The music was magnificent but also very beautiful and poignant - I don't think there was a dry eye in the house during Highland Cathedral. Their summer set list was incredibly well chosen - we've had rave reviews from friends and family who couldn't praise the band highly enough. Jon and the MD Matthew also went out of their way to help us crack the timing on the bridal entry which was much appreciated! The band heroically played through sunshine and thunderstorms and kept everyone's spirits incredibly high throughout. I would book them again in a heartbeat and am recommending them emphatically to everyone I can. Thanks for making our wedding day so special!

Brighton & Hove City Brass opened the Sussex Sports Awards 2017 with an outstanding rendition of Sussex by the Sea. This kick started our #CelebrateSussex theme, and it did so perfectly. Working with Claire and the band was an absolute pleasure; we've had so many amazing comments about the evening and about their performance. Definitely provided the WOW factor that we were after. Thank you!

After playing in bands for over 25 years, I joined Brighton and Hove City Brass about 18 months ago looking for a new challenge, and haven't looked back! We play a fab and varied program throughout the year, and have an enjoyable balance of contests and gigs. I've made some awesome friends, musically I've learnt so much and I look forward to rehearsal every week...what more can you want from a band?!

I've been playing with this friendly bunch for over 10 years and look forward to our Monday rehearsals. A highlight for me is playing at weddings where we get to entertain the guests. The band played at my own wedding (of course!) and I had so many lovely comments about how great they sounded.

I've heard the band play several times and they always put on a great show. I highly recommend the 1812 concert in Eastbourne with fireworks, it's a great evening out.

This band is like my 2nd family. It's so great sharing your passion for music with like minded friends and seeing people enjoy your playing. Wouldn't be without them.
