Reviews of St Lawrence Church, Hatfield
Lovely old church in its own grounds with old graves within the church grounds. The church and grounds are well maintained and there is spectacular stained glass windows able to be viewed at best from within the church. There is plenty of history if you are interested in churches and worth a visit when you are nearby, I would definitely be returning when I have the opportunity.
This church is in very good condition for its age there is also a public toilet inside and a kitchen
Nice church but not my kind of thing
The people here are very kind and helpful
A family friendly place of God
Friendly and engaging with the community.
Beautiful Church
A beautiful, centuries-old church. Very nice people. I was invited inside and told about all the interesting facts hidden in this beautiful church.
Messy Church @ St. Lawrence Hatfield
What a fantastic service for the young people and their parents / carers.
Loads of activities, friendly people, amazing vicar and families and youth worker.
Cannot recommend this service enough…full of joy and laughter.
Safe space for families.
Lovely church. Everyone is si friendly & welcoming.
I was next door on October 4, 2021. I haven't seen the interior. There is an interesting cemetery. Many tombstones are falling apart, but this is the fault of the rock used. There are also tombstones from Scandinavian erratics. On the northern side of the tree stand, the magnificent sycamore maple draws special attention.
Beautiful church. Would of liked more time to look around. Saddest bit was of a soldier who died in Afghanistan recently. The church had a lovely place for his information and picture. The church is peaceful and quintessentially English. But with open arms for every faith. Beautiful
A very historic Church. Many years old. Everything inside and outside of the Church is very beautiful. A nice place to look around. Everybody is welcome.
Bells are still rung here, normally on Sunday mornings, weddings and sometimes funerals. No music recordings.
Services take place during the week and on Sundays.
Nice midnight mass service
So many things going on at this church. We visited the Christmas tree festival and had a great afternoon doing the quiz around all the trees and chatting to the friendly volunteers
A beautiful little church.
