Reviews of Barclay Viewforth Church of Scotland
K. W.
An incredibly warm, friendly and welcoming church with a real family feel to it. The building is magnificent and so too are the congregation. They go out of their way to help the community and whole heartedly welcome anyone to join them be it for a one off service or more regular attendance. Thoroughly recommend popping along to one of their services or events, you wont regret it.

A fantastic piece of building... love it, always have

With its little towers only visible from Bruntsfield Links it is reminiscent of St Basil's Cathedral in Moscow. It is difficult to obtain a photo which does it justice due to the narrow streets in the neighborhood.

Morningside Healing meets here every Tuesday from eleven until one.
They pray for people in the name of Jesus and constantly see miraculous answers to prayer. If you need healing - emotional, physical, or spiritual, this place is definitely worth a visit.
Drop in even if all you want is a chat a coffee and a biscuit!

(Translated) Building dedicated to the Church of Scotland, built by Frederick Thomas Pilkington between 1862 and 1864 in the Gothic-Renaissance style thanks to the economic legacy of Mary Barclay.
From the outside, apart from the 76-meter-high tower, one of the tallest in Edinburgh, the building with the air of a fortress and its doors of an intense red color stands out.
Recommended visit if you are near Meadows Park.
