A beautiful building and their undercroft cafe is a wee gem! Freshly cooked scones every day and soup too! The ambience is truly peaceful. Staff are all volunteers and are lovely. I love going!

I visited st Andrew's and st George's west church, as it was a festival venue. I was impressed by the interior. Beautiful stained glass windows. High ceiling, almost a "dome shaped "? Incredible, creative, art work all around the premises. The set up with the pews, for when the church is functioning as a church, gave the show extra points for the venue alone. The venue made the show enjoyable as there was a pleasant atmosphere. Of which I find from churches generally. Many people may not agree, this is personally how I felt about this venue. The show was a choir so it was fitting to be at this venue as the sound from singing in an echoing church can pose it's challenges I guess, plus serve as a help with projection of the songs, especially as it was a cappella it helped the music travel effectively.
It's worth a visit the interior is stunning. I'm not 100% sure on whether this church actually still functions as a church, it was hard to tell as that was not my purpose for being there. Enjoy!

Scotland's only oval church and architectural wonder, below you have an Undercroft, that provides refreshments at lunchtime, at a very reasonable price.

A beautiful round church situated very centrally in Edinburgh. After 6.30pm parking is free and was found nearby. This church had close links with the Reformation so is of historical interest. It's round interior gives good accoustics and was a pleasurable experience to attend a concert here held by the Georgian Concert Society.

A lovely tearoom tucked away at the back of the kirk, with fresh homebaking and nourishing soups. Nice and very helpful volunteers who go out of their way to help everyone. It's definitely worth stopping by for a breether. The kirk itself is beautiful and worth a visit.

This is a Church of Scotland kirk, comprising various previously separate congregations. The building itself is an architectural gem of the 18th century New Town. The church seeks to connect with the local community by providing services for the local businesses. The Undercroft Café is staffed by volunteers. They hold an annual book sale for Christian Aid, which spills out of the building onto the portico and pavement.

God created man in his image but man fell and is under the curse of sin, facing God's wrath and eternal damnation. But God sent his son to die a most painful death on the cross to take the weight of our sin and shield us from God's judgment. Before a holy God we have no hope by ourselves but since Jesus died and rose from the grave, we may have eternal life in him. Charlotte chapel is a great place to find out more about what Christ has done for us. Services on at 9am and 11am, serves tea and coffee afterwards.
