Reviews of St George's Tron, Church of Scotland
R. F.
Great Christian Church with good and capable Pastor, Alastair Duncan, creating harmony and caring with those most vulnerable people in this community. They have a lot going on both within the church (to meet the needs of the members) and outside of the church (to meet the needs of the community).
This kind of church encourages members to get involved and to be a part of helping to fulfill its mission.
They make guests feel welcomed and do their best to make visitors feel part of the community.
There is a cafe inside the Church, The Wild Olive Tree cafe, opens from Monday to Saturday from 10:30 - 16:30, serving House-made soups, scones, cakes and barista-made speciality coffees. Vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options available.

A true iconic building in Glasgow at Nelson Mandela Place you can pop in for a cup of tea at this church. It has lot history attached to it also they commissioed the sculpture of the homeless christ sleeping on the park bench. Its one stunning work of art that alone is worth the visit to Church.

A haven of quiet on busy Buchanan street ,the church has a cafe and meeting place away from the hordes of shoppers , pic was taken from one end of George st

St George's Tron or SGT has a real sense of community about it. Cafe church takes place every Sunday and kicks off at 12.30 where everyone shares a meal together.
There is also a cafe which runs from Monday to Saturday known as the olive tree.
Go along for Sunday worship service.

Great place for good soup and scones. Table service which makes a change. Not sure if it has a quiet room for prayer. Will check next time I'm there.

Amazing church. There is never a day I've gone where someone has not come and talked to me and made me feel welcome 😀 I'd feel completely comfortable taking friends here

The only place in Glasgow where I can escape the pressures of the world, the service in the café is top notch and the cakes are baked on the premises and are adding inches to my waist line. So good I'm prepared to trek for miles and miles just to take in the ambience. I stumbled across the door one day by accident (although I would say that God took me there) and I have found my spiritual family. I have been welcomed, accepted and as a result I am happy, safe and content.

It's always really exciting and encouraging to hear of what God is doing in this place. An important presence for the Church of Scotland ministering and witnessing in the city centre. Great hosts every time I attend a meeting there.

(Translated) St. George Tron Church was built in 1808 in the Baroque style. From the outside, it looks like it was, but the interior contains elements of modern design. Beautiful stained-glass windows and old paintings depicting St. George. In the courtyard of the temple there is a bell tower, which includes ten cast bells of various shapes and sizes.
