K. S.It's a great Catholic Church. who also do a very small food parcel containing a packet of crisps, a chocolate biscuit and a small drink, but only if someone is there. Which isn't everyday
N.Though completely different in architectural style and content from its more 'showy' neighbour, the tranquil interior of this Roman Catholic church is an absolute delight. All praise to Sir Paul Getty for funding its careful restoration.

E. C.The Church of St Francis Xavier is neoclassical, built in 1839. Its strikingly yellow exterior contains an ornate interior.
The church contains a hand of St John Kemble. One of the Forty Martyrs, the Catholic priest was killed in 1679. Sentenced in London, he walked back to Hereford before being hanged, drawn and quartered. As an eighty year old man, he was allowed to die on the gallows and spared the agony of drawing and quartering. The rest of his body lies in Welsh Newton.
