Some very interesting gravestones, John Middleton notwithstanding. Great view from behind the church and, being able to see Runcorn's nuclear towers from there, makes for an interesting juxtaposition. Church volunteers are both extremely welcoming and knowledgeable. Though I couldn't stick around for their Sunday afternoon tea, I would definitely recommend. Pleasant people and the cake looks great!

A beautiful heritage church. The final resting place of the notable 'childe of Hale'. They serve a lovely high-tea from 2-4pm on Sunday. Well worth a visit from history and culture buffs like me.

A lot of garden waste left uncollected under trees and covering headstones.
Very disrespectful.
I had to move rubbish off my parents plot to enable me to tidy up the area☹️☹️

Still a lovely church even after the terrible fire and it's been sympathetically restored.

Only really visited outside on a walk but it's a beautiful looking church in an amazing looking village. Definitely worth passing if you're in the vicinity.

We were made so welcome and invited in to the weekly coffee morning. It was interesting to hear some of the church's history. Thank you.

Lovely church. Lovely people. Everything you would expect from a church, in a stunning location.
I really can't say much more as I've never had a bad experience there 👍

Very old church, steeped in history. The churchyard is the final resting place of the famous Royal bodyguard known as the Childe of Hale who stood at over 9feet tall!. Also see Middleton Cottage

Beautiful old church. Light and bright interior. Great history and details after it was burnt down in 1960's.
