I visited this lovely Church when I worked in the City of London years ago. I loved going there during my lunch break. The Priests were great to talk to and very helpful. I would love to go there again one day when I visit London. I am now retired. I would recommend this beautiful Church if you're a Religious person.

Such a beautiful church in the middle of chaos.
It is a lovely place to worship and reflect during a hectic working day.
It is paces away from Holborn Station and a short walk from Covent Garden.
The church has been reconstructed, it is I believe over 300 years old, following a bombing in 1940 the church was rebuilt and still contains part of the original chapel.
Mass is held at 12.30pm Monday, Wednesday and Friday, then at 6pm Tuesday and Thursday. I would recommend visiting the website for details of other services.
Even if passing by, I highly suggest a visit. It truly is a beautiful church.
I would appreciate a thumbs up if you found this review helpful. Thank you 😊

Amid the hustle & bustle of Kingsway and Holborn is this church where one can pop into for a bit of quiet time for contemplation & prayer; well worth taking some time out to do.

I worked in London near Holborn many years ago. I visited this gorgeous Church for the 12.30 Mass during my lunch break. I went to Confession to a lovely Priest and he mentioned that he became a Catholic Priest due to a lovely Irish man who helped him. I was so very pleased as I am Irish and plan to visit this beautiful Church again next year. Don't know what time are Masses for Christmas Day as I would love to stay in London for a Christmas.

This church is extremely beautiful, organised and well run, with good priests and good congregation. The secretary is very polite and helpful and makes the church well run.
As a central London parish it offers a lot of local support like Great Ormand St Hospital but also has so many choirs, mass times, and support systems for fellow Catholics. I feel welcome attending mass here but yet they still insist on proper respect for the Eucharist.
I get married here in eight weeks time and I am super privileged to call this place my marriage church. Thank you, God Bless and keep it up.

I dropped in on a Saturday between Christmas and New Year. There was confession and a vigil mass was due to take place. Unfortunately, owing to a prior commitment, it was not possible to stay for the mass, but I left feeling deeply refreshed nevertheless. What a beautiful church whose worshippers’ clear devotion was an inspiration in itself.

As our lives become ever busier and fast paced, we can be left feeling spiritually empty inside; distracted from what is truly important. This deeply personal reason is why I always visit St Anselm & St Cæcilia when in Holborn whilst on my way to the City Lit Adult Education College nearby. I find these moments of quiet prayer and contemplation a valuable time to gather my thoughts in peaceful surroundings away from the frenetic atmosphere outside.

There are bus stops close by, many pubs around and often stalls on the street which means that sometimes it gets a crowded outside - you might end up missing the door of you are new. Lincoln Fields are a bit behind if you fancy some green. The church is apt, it's not massive nor dark. There are many services here and I think the choir is also very active - please visit the site for more info. I have posted a photo showing general timeline for services in this church and around the region. This church is under Westminster cathedral and it you are looking for statues of St Cecila and St Anselm then it's on the altar - no where else atleast till I write this. Most of the time rosaries preceed Holy Mass and sometimes they also rosaries following mass. You can find a great deal of print literature herein. The church environment is quiet but often you find people walking in with big peices of luggage which I would say adds its own chorus :) thank you and God bless

How lovely to find this gem in the busy West End of London. Daily Holy Mass at 12.30 p.m. (except in August), and 6.00 p.m. There's adoration every weekday and Saturday from 4.00 p.m. to 6.00 p.m. just before Holy Mass. It's a lovely church served by good priests.
