Just looking on Google Maps. I couldn't believe how things have changed in the area in recent times. I grew up near the park, in Olive Road and my wife Janice, in Ivy Road. In the 1950s, Janice's father was church secretary and captain of the Boy's Brigade; my father, was Band Master. Janice and I were baptised there at the age of 14 and married there 53 years ago last week. We were both involved with the brigades and the Sunday School. The church membership, Girl and Boys brigades , Sunday School and Youth Club were really quite large. They were wonderful times. Although we are sad that the church building has become apartments but I am really pleased to see the photos of the fellowship and is still quite a good size, with a good mix of people and ages. I am also so pleased to see the "Good Shepherd" window is still in place. We are members of the Upton-upon-Severn Baptist Church in Worcestershire. This dates back to the mid 1600s! We are still working with a studio by the River Severn. God Bless you all and may His work still continue through you in Crickelwood.

Small but friendly church with congregation of various ages, nationalities and backgrounds. Prayer available after the service; much going on, including children's club on Fridays and work with the homeless.
