The architect is wonderful and the ceilings are decorated with amazing paintings.
It has a capacity to hold 1500 people and its 19 metres high.
The priests are wonderful and I would 100% recommend you go and have mass there or just go and savour the atmosphere.🙏

M. C.A most beautiful, amospheric Church. I got married there in 1984, by padre Carmelo, who is the most sweetest, kind and funny priest. The church is still as beautiful today, but absolutely glows when there's a wedding, filled with flowers, ribbons, candles and all the scents. Heaven!

M. V.Lovely church in a beautiful part of London, near Sicilian Avenue in Bloomsbury. Mass is usually in Italian, but sometimes also in English. Nearby you can find also a sweet little cafeteria.

S. N.If you like a church and especially one that is the centre of an ex pat community then visit this church. I have Italian friends and family who have married into the nation so am aware of the place this church holds in their hearts. An oasis of calm and with a beautiful interior which a little unexpected in this location. Visit, pray or just sit and rest a while, it really does feel as if the holy spirit is close by here.

As an Anglican in a Catholic church, I did not feel like an outsider, in fact was surprised by the similarities in the service. Bishop Nicolas delivered a very meaningful sermon and all the switching between Italian and English was fascinating! The artwork in the Catholic churches is always beautiful. M. M.I did my pre - marriage course with Padre Carmelo and absolutely love it!!! Carmelo was simply and friendly. The design in the Roman basilican style is stunning and very friendly atmosphere. Definitely a place to be in a peaceful prayer.
R.Went here last Sunday quite a lovely service couldn't understand the priest my Italian's not that good. There was a professional choir at the back singing. The congregation were manly OAP's Young Italians where are you bring your families
G. B.It's like entering Dr. Who's Tardis. The entrance is no larger than a shop front, easily missed. But that space has steps up to huge doors which lead you into a huge church inside. Straight out of Italy. It is for the Italian community with everything in Italian, some translated into English. It is a work of art containing works of art. See how the organ pipes frame the window behind. And it's usually open - to everyone.
P. K.Nice, bright church close to the city, main mass is in Italian and sung in Latin (11am on Sunday). It is family friendly place and Italian speaking visitors to London are welcome. Father Ricardo and the newish one (sorry, I keep forgetting his name) are great, remind me of father Carmello. Good display every Christmas, carols played on the main organ are spell binding at the midnight mass. Check out typical Italian paintings and mosaics, enjoy :)

T. F.When I was an engineering student at Northampton Engineering College, now the City University, between 1955 and 1958, this place was a sea of calm in a world of storms for me. Leaving home in Yorkshire and going to London to live alone in a single bed/sitting room with shared kitchen I would have gone mad without my almost daily lunch time visits to St Peters and yes, if you are wondering, I did eat my sandwiches there!
Whatever your branch of the Christian church, or none, or simply a tired tourist, or a lonely person seeking the strength that comes from sitting in the quietude of places dedicated to the Creator, or just out of curiosity, please visit if you are out and about in the City of London. It is a truly beautiful place similar in many ways to what was lost from the Church in England when the reformers through out the baby with the bath water as it were.
I still regress to my hours spent there even after nearly sixty years. Unless you are a bare essentials, white washed walls, Puritan, you will depart refreshed and renewed.
