For those fussy or discerning customers like myself, Stonewoods is highly recommended - they have oodles of patience. Patience is a virtue and prized in customer experience nowadays. My search for the right fire spanned a period of two years in which Stonewoods provided about 4/5 revisions of quotation , 3 site visits and on day of installations, their installers started early morning and finished job at 7pm with no whinging or complaints. Buying from Stonewoods was a pleasant experience for me. I would advise anyone out there is who is looking to make such an investment, not solely just to focus on the product but also to enjoy the process of acquiring the centre piece of attraction in your room. This is the third fire that I have had purchased and installed from Stonewoods.

We were extremely pleased with the quality of the service from Stonewoods. The job was the conversion of 2 hearths to gas from solid fuel - a bespoke job. The surveyor was very thorough and professional and explained every part of the project. The fitters were equally professional, perfectionists. It took only two weeks from ordering the new wood burning stove before it was fully installed. Stonewoods are excellent and their "fitters" unbelievably efficient. They removed the old fireplace and completed the installation of the wood-burner in the course of a single day, with a good deal of concrete and plaster work that needed to be done. And the Stonewoods' Gothic premises are brilliant. I recommend this company very highly. Adrian North London

We spend weeks looking for the right reclaimed Victorian fireplace without any luck...until we discovered Stonewoods. We didn't need to look any further. Their range of fireplaces and surrounds is everything we were looking for. The staff are friendly and helpful and we genuinely enjoyed the experience. We ended up buying a beautiful restored fireplace with tiled inserts, a marble surround and a slate hearth. It looks stunning. Stonewoods arranged the chimney sweep and installation, which could have gone more smoothly. The whole lot came in slightly under our budget so we're delighted! Very satisfied customers!

I thought I wanted one thing, but had to settle for another (complicated gas piping). But Jamie and Arran were patient and efficient, sent a gas engineer, recommended a charming chimney sweep, talked me through my choices and then booked my fitting. Two nice men turned up and my electric cast-iron stove was fitted in under an hour with no mess, and I'm delighted with it.

From the survey to the fitting the staff were professional and friendly.

They really did a decent job. From the first meeting in the shop to the installers leaving. The only mistake was, I should have had a bigger fire: Which was maybe down to me, or the chimney. Next property I'll go back to Stonewoods and have the biggest fire possible. Its really nice in the grey winter in the UK to have a fire glowing. thanks

I was so impressed with the service I got from Aaran at Stonewoods. I had had a four month nightmare with another fireplace company and eventually gave up. From the minute I walked into the Stonewoods showroom I got such efficiency and fast service which I needed. The beautiful fireplace was delivered three days later and I am delighted.
