What a stunning place, the size of the roof when you walk in and look up, the colours and painting is remarkable, a place a recommended to pop in and see, you are able to lite candles for loved ones along with confession boxes and quite seating areas to both sides.

Beautiful building situated between Westminster and Victoria. Easily accessible from either Westminster or Victoria tube although we took a 24 bus which was just as convenient. Some astonishing mosaics across the walls and roofs if the side chapels. There are many side chapels for you to sit and pray or to gaze in wonder at the beauty of the place. Visited during Advent so there was a tree outside which was beautiful.

It's deceptive to think another random Catholic cathedral would be good but wow this one blows you away. It's not like any other place. It's a working cathedral and acts as the head church for Catholics in the United Kingdom. Despite only being built a hundred years ago, the design is lovely and built in a neo-byzantine style which is amazing. Marble columns, decorative mosaics, large open spaces and plenty of interesting things to read about in each chapel. It's definitely worth visiting, and it's free!
R. M.
So atmospheric, the interior is oddly dark towards the ceiling as it’s half finished. The fine parts are staggering though. And Jesus lights up the darkness when you look up!

Grand and stunning Catholic CathedraL with unique architecture and internal design. There are very nice and important chapels inside to prayer. Absolutely fantastic Masses, full of people. A very spiritual place

Very beautiful place both inside and out. I advise you to visit it when you are in London.

The largest catholic church in United Kingdom and the mother church of Roman Catholic Churches in England and Wales.
This is my first place Sunday destination every week whenever I’m not working. It has preserved its history and beautiful architecture. It is a great place for worship and reflection.

Built in 1903 the architecture of this Cathedral is ccccc. The mosaics are amazing. The marble floors are incredible.

At first, when I saw this amazing architectural building for the first time, I thought it was a Mosque, but only coming closer I realized that I was mistaken! It was a truly beautiful cathedral with an interesting appearance. Very beautiful and I was completely pleasantly surprised at how excellent the architecture in London is!❤

5pm Mass is always a treat. A beautiful retreat from the busy London streets, great place to contemplate whether you're religious or not.

Also called the mother church of the Roman Catholic Church in England and Wales. Worth visiting it or just going in for a prayer. It has a nice architecture, with very nice decorations. It still has the traditional seating, meaning no benches but wooden chairs. The choir has a wonderful sound. You can go up the tower for a small fee, the view of London is nice, if it's a windy weather better to wear a hat. An elevator is taking up and down the tower. Easiest way to get to the cathedral is by tube and getting off at Victoria Station, less then 5 minute walk, or by bus get off at Westminster Cathedral Stop N or Vauxhall Bridge Road Stop M. Places you can visit nearby are Buckingham Palace, St James Park, Green Park ...around 10 minutes walk or if you continue going towards river Thames you can visit Westminster Abbey, Palace of Westminster, Big Ben.

imposing cathedral my personal experience very beautiful full of peace at twelve o'clock I went and in the background the choirs sing the Angelus of the smell of incense the tranquility and the beautiful 💟 and it's free it's worth it

Stunning byzantine cathedral that sadly has not yet been completed. Has some beautiful chapels. Well worth a visit.

In all this years walking around London city... how do I miss this beautiful cathedral ! Neobizantine, incredibly detailed in the briks pattern and rich in their mosaics ! I simply love it ! 😀

Big piece of history, an amazing gem, hidden im between Victoria and St James's park! A must to visit, whether you believe or not.

This place caught my eye when i was heading to the Christmas market with my friends. Looks really hunted and dark compared to the building next to it.

Large bysantine Catholic cathedral for Westminster. Tourists can visit at all times, even during a mass, but obviously don't cross the middle section if you do. The St Patrick's Chapel on the right side upon entrance is a nice stand out, and is close enough to the exit to be peaceful for prayers, lighting a candle, without any noise from the entrance.

Visitation here is the Cathedral was very well organised for Confessions. No long queues, it was super quick. The Crib was situated as you entered the main front door. It was much better here than it's usual location down the far end of the Cathedral. It was well managed with social distancing throughout & no long queues which was great and a huge improvement to the normal Christmas long queues. Everyone could go in & pray in a very safe environment. Well done to all involved.

This is one of my favourite Catholic churches in London.
The sense of awe and serenity always greets anyone who steps into the House of God.
The grandeur of this magnificent Cathedral is secondary to the power that God has bestowed on this peaceful and humble sanctuary of God.
The whole Cathedral is like a huge Adoration Room.
You must attend the Mass here if you are in London on a Sunday. The experience and the solemnity is awesome and magnificent!
Amen!

Famous and beautiful cathedral in centre of Westminster, very ornate interior

Westminster Cathedral is the mother church of the Roman Catholic Church in England and Wales. It is the largest Catholic Church in the UK and the seat of the Archbishop of Westminster.
Westminster Cathedral is the 50th largest church in the world in terms of interior area (5,017m²), seating up to 3000 people. It is the 38th largest Catholic Church in the world in terms of interior area.
A. L.
Beautiful catholic church with an impressive architecture and surroundings. If you are a catholic and want to make the reconciliation Saturdays starting 5.30 the priests are available until 6 ish( depending how many people are waiting). Church is very big, social distancing rules apply, toilets are open to the public during the mass but they close 20 minute before mass ends. There is wheel chair accessible. A must visit if you are in London or if you want to join a mass.
N. L.
This, London’s Catholic Cathedral is a Byzantine style, marvelous masterpiece of art and architecture! The Catholic Faith is very much alive and flourishing here as well with many daily Mass availabilities in addition to many an opportunity for Confession and also a host of options for areas to pray in the Cathedral’s multitude of stunning side chapels, including my favorite, the Saint George chapel.
N. P.
Impressive church. Centrally located and beautifully decorated interior. It is unlike any other church I’ve been in where the ceiling is quite stark and undecorated. It’s an odd feeling knowing that this, and so many other churches were built (new or more modern) because of the CoE the departure from Rome. The church is quite large but warm and inviting none-the-less. Also, no entrance fee.
C. B.
Went for a half hour organ recital on Sunday - only lasted 15mins! Used to be so good. What's happened to the music department?
J. R.
One of the best Cathedrals in the city. Wonderful mass services on Sundays.
T. B.
The cathedral is styled in the Byzantine fashion, which makes it stand out in London.
M. M.
Peaceful and just beautiful inside out.
We had our pre-wedding ceremony here. The priests are very kind, welcoming and helpful, so are the volunteers. Beautiful choirs and just a perfect place to visit for a Sunday service. Located just across Victoria station, the cathedral draws a large number of devotees and tourists from all across. Open throughout the day.
D. C.
Very pleasant went to get rosary blessed but priest was busy so have to back but that OK as it lovely in there ..
M. E. B.
We stumbled across this by accident and decided to go in. A wonderful little cathedral. You can go up the tower to see the city for a minimal price, especially compared to the shard. It has a lift.
M. T.
Free to visit & worth a stop if you on the area. Can't take pictures or flim when a service is on. There are also toilets available. It should take about 15mins to walk around.

Westminster Cathedral is a relatively young church being built in 1903. However, it is considered the mother church of the Catholic Community in England and Wales and is the largest Catholic church in England.
The Cathedral was interestingly designed in neo-Byzantine style, with beautiful mosaic images found throughout the church. Unfortunately, none of the original mosaics were completed by the church architect, John Bentley, as he died before work was finished. With little in the form of sketches to work with, the completion of the mosaics over the following decades were much influenced by the donors and designers who contributed the financial means and craftsmanship to complete the mosaics within Westminster Cathedral. In the end, they are beautiful to see and well worth seeking out if you enjoy this type of art form.
Within the church, it is well worth finding the Chapel of the Blessed Sacrament and Chapel of the Blessed Virgin Mary, which are both richly decorated and well worth a few clicks of your camera. Other chapels are worth browsing and do take notice of the use of marble found throughout the Cathedral. There are supposedly 126 varieties of marble coming from at least 24 different countries, used within the church.
The alter area is nice as is the neo-Byzantine exterior of the church, which offers a rather sharp contrast to the typical churches found throughout London. The inclusion of an Italian style campanile also adds to the architectural intrigue of the Westminster Cathedral.
Overall, we like visiting Westminster Cathedral to see the very nice mosaics. Although not very old compared to ancient Byzantine churches you can see in places like Rome, Istanbul and Jerusalem, there are some beautiful things you can see here, making this an attraction well worth seeking out if you like church visits or have interesting Neo-Byzantine style architecture.

Best Catholic Church in UK.
Several masses a day and confession.
This church is mother church of all Catholic churches in UK.
This beautiful church is very welcoming to all.

Inside its huge halls its quiet, a place to contemplate. For all who seeks a spiritual retreat, christains and non- christain alike.
Such a great beauty for tourists looking for a place to get the choicest of photos.

A hidden and undervalued gem in the heart of London. Beautiful mosaics.

What a beautiful building. I didnt even know existed until I went to visit the Guides shop. The art work inside is absolutely stunning and well worth a trip.

Wonderful, peaceful place of worship with a wide open Piazza, in Victoria. Open all day to worshipper as well as visitors, free of charge.

S. Q. B.
Beautiful cathedral, the masses are very nice and easy to follow if you’re not a native. It’s so welcoming and warming. It’s completely fine if you just want to go, sit there and pray or reflect for a while. Also the cafe downstairs is lovely, the food is so heartwarming and the lady is so kind.
T. V. B.
Well worth the visit. Have a tower which you can go up. Beautiful inside.

Westminster Cathedral is the largest Catholic church building in England and Wales. It's a beautiful, powerful and feels quite peaceful inside.
R. W.
The Cathedral is a very special place for me, though I hasten to add I'm not a practicing Catholic, it's a beautiful building very Orthodox in it's whole orientation. The restrictions it's under due to the COVID-19 pandemic has robbed it of life blood the, public and it's a shell of itself. I will always think it's a beautiful place to visit even for non believers like me. I would urge you to visit it, it's one of Londons most under appreciated building's.
R. S.
I loved chapels for Ireland, Scotland, and Wales all nestled within. There was a wedding ceremony happening also. A bit surreal and wonderful!
C. M.
Stunning on the inside and outside. Have been meaning to visit for years. Amazing view over London.
I. O.
A very old Catholic church located at Victoria London. It's got beautiful mosaic paintings on the interior walls. The seats didn't appear too old though but the altar was beautiful. A mass had just ended and numerous candles had been lit. It was peaceful and quiet.
A. A.
A nice Cathedral to visit without missing the tower visit to see this part of the city from above.
Price of the tower visit is 6 Pounds
D. T.
Westminster Abbey, London church that is the site of coronations and other ceremonies of national significance. It stands just west of the Houses of Parliament in the Greater London borough of Westminster. Situated on the grounds of a former Benedictine monastery, it was refounded as the Collegiate Church of St. Peter in Westminster by Queen Elizabeth I in 1560. In 1987 Westminster Abbey, St. Margaret’s Church, and the Houses of Parliament were collectively designated a UNESCO World Heritage site.
M. M.
The main altar has moved since I was last there. Side door also open for exit. Need to find out why. Side door also open for exit. Good social distancing by the congregation. Confession has resumed. Security very helpful. Welcome back.
I. F.
Very nice church (even if someone isn't religious) to visit and it was interesting to see all the different styles and modelled Chapels.
C. R.
Absolutely stunning. A must see. The marble work and architecture are wondrous and everything tells a story.
A. W.
Had a lovely day here. Present for the ordination of a friend. Long service, but really very interesting. Nice place to visit and just quitely chill out.
We also enjoyed a budget in the Cathedral Hall.

Overall it's fine. Of course is not like an Italian Cathedral but I expected something more.

Westminster Cathedral is a massive built which has many secrets and it is considered to be the mother church of Roman Catholic churchs in England. Was a good experience visiting this Cathedral and to know about its history.

D. P.
It deserves to be visited
R. P.
Beautiful architecture 😍
J. M.
It's a beautiful cathedral. If you look at it you'll be amazed. The details and the color are great. If you happen to be around Victoria station or generally in London it's worth visiting. There are guided tours here but it's more fun to explore on your own in your own time. And if you have religious people at home you can get religious souvenirs and books here as well.
l. B.
Such a wonderful and spiritual place. Calm.and peaceful. Such beautiful architecture. And the shop next door is lovely too. I always feel uplifted when I leave. For all ages, all faiths

Impressive old building and very nice Christmas Carol service organised for the Catholic schools' visit
M. A.
Always peaceful and spiritual
K. S.
Beautiful and rich history that will keep you enthralled. Even if you do not pay for the full tour, it is worth visiting to take in the history and the view of something that, as a tourist, you may have only seen in history books or a documentary.
M. K.
I went there with my daughters for an organ concert. Church is amazing. Overwelmed me by its beauty.
Concert was splendid and I have a life long experience. Would like to repeat that in a near future.
K. W.
Love the choir and the architecture was very nice. Photography and recording is not highly recommended during mass.

Historic place. Never knew there were small chapels on the sides of the large cathedral. Pay £6 to go up the tower for the views.
H. G.
Beautiful mosaics, well worth a visit. Visited (and stayed) during ceremony for the Elected on Feb. 29th. As a Duch Roman-Catholic really special to see. Afterwards, the Cardinal greeted people on the square outside the Cathedral.
O. J. O.
So honored to have visited a historical building. The largest Catholic Church in the United Kingdom, I believe
n. S.
A beautiful cathedral close to victoria Station and underground. The tower gives you great views and there is lift for a small charge
C. M.
This beautiful Cathedral is so full of history which is so fascinating both the inside and outside is so awesome. Its also a place of prayer which is so spiritually uplifting. One can spend a whole day there just enjoying the exquisite architecture. It so wonderful to see how all visitors of all faith are welcome and the Cathedral choir is certainly out of this world there is also a lovely cafe (. now closed due the current situation) but when opened usually serve up some delicious meals. I strongly recommend a visit to anyone who hasn't been there before.
J. A.
An inviting place to experience Grace and fully participate in the Liturgy [Sacrosanctum Concilium]!
W. E.
A beautiful neo Byzantine Roman Catholic cathedral which is lovely to wander around and to sit and meditate. A small shop sells typical Catholic fare and there's a rather dingy café which lets the place down a bit. Not to be confused with Westminster Abbey down the road.
M. W.
The atmosphere at the 12 mid day mass was uplifting, the choir and music is good for the soul.
H. F.
Definitely worth a quick visit. Stunning mosaics. Friendly, helpful staff. This is a place of worship so time your visit around the services or come and worship in fabulous surroundings. Everyone is welcome.
R. S.
A beautiful cathedral to visit particularly if you baulk at paying £24 to visit the abbey
G. W.
Often largely empty, and even on important occasions, you'll find that very few people attend. If you get lucky, you may hear the boys' choir. They are achingly good.
This place is also good for the crazy Phillipino nuns who hang around in the aisles holding illuminated dangly globes.
Also- a trip up the tower is also well worth your time.
U. S.
Really worth going to see this beautiful building and it’s historic features
B. O.
The centre of Catholic worship in England, worth visiting and has a wonderful St Pauls choir if you can attend a mass with choir.

Offers the promise of eternal life and salvation after death. Was a bit skeptical but the black robe wearing white collared customer service agent was fantastic at explaining things.

h. l.
Didnt able to make it inside. The outside is magnificent and surely i will visit this cathedral in the future.
M. G.
Such a beautiful building with no tourists.
R.
There are two very similar sounding heavyweight cathedrals in one vicinity but other than their common first names, they have nothing in common.
The one in question Westminster cathedral is made only of bricks and surrounded by modern glass buildings. It's pale colour scheme doesn't help it stand out and it's unusual design doesn't let it blend in with anything either.
It is very strange looking and despite its huge size, it's not imposing or serious like gothic architecture. It's almost like that it was designed for children because it can easily be in any Disneyland and no one will ask any question. I mean they gave it white stripy dress but also a very dull colour. Might as well paint it bright and avoid all confusion.
However its interior is where it gets serious. It's not only huge but really beautiful too with multiple chapels within. Inside you'll find all bells and whistles that you expect in a grand church of this size.
Y. W.
The best thing is: You can enter for free with Westminster City Save card. It's sooooo nice to be a westminster citizen.
N. V.
Beautiful. So much to look at.
S. A.
I was baptizing Pentecostal 😁 I'm very happy because I enjoy worshipping, but i love the quietness of Westminster church so I visit when I want some peaceful time with the lord I enjoy lighting candle and praying and having holy water and grow up Catholic so Westminster is a place you can find peace away from the busy life style in London.
S. A. W.

I didn't think it was beautiful. But informations are visible and clear about masses and stuff. And you can visit it anytime, and don't have to pay to enter.

M. M.
Even though not religious, I find this a very calming and peaceful place to visit. I enjoyed so much I actually sat through a half hour Mass during my stay. Some beautiful ornate side chapels and impressive main Altar. Although free to visit, if you've enjoyed the experience, I think it's only fair to give a donation.
W. S.
Thank you Lord for everything.

Happy to be there on the feast of st Joseph. Fr witon the administrator preached well on st Joseph on his feast day in the year of st Joseph
Not likely to live to see another year of st Joseph!!! He said to pray for our fathers. Mine passed away when I was a child. I prayed for the repose of his soul and the repose of the souls of my grandpa. All in all I am glad I was able to go. Deo Gratias!!
J. B.
Such a special place, glitters like a jewel box inside, stunning mosaics - well worth a visit
C. B.
It's a large cathedral, some lovely images and decorative brick work and iconography. Areas of unadorned brickwork on the ceiling..
L. K.
This is magical place.I love Westminster Cathedral.
R. M.
Assisted photographing a wedding here a few months ago.
Such a beautiful building, staff and security were very helpfully pointing us in the correct direction due to the many areas of the Cathedral.
Its a perfect place to get married, come and admire or pray.
B. K.
Admission to the Cathedral is free but donations are gratefully received Tower Lift - £6 adult; £3 concession; £14 family ticket (2 adult and 2 children) If you enter the Cathedral at a quiet moment in the day, don’t imagine that it is always like this. Westminster Cathedral must be one of the busiest churches in the United Kingdom. Located in the heart of London, it is the mother-church of England & Wales. People are drawn to this great edifice from all over London, all over the country and the world. If you are trying to imagine ‘what goes on’ here, consider that there are seven masses each day, many great services of worship on special occasions and unique gatherings of every description which fill the Cathedral to the doors. Westminster Cathedral Choir, justly renowned for consistent excellence, sings at the Solemn Mass each evening - with few exceptions. Even when no public ceremony is taking place, the private prayer of individual believers is a work of faith, continuously in progress. The Cathedral is a sacred space at the heart of a great city, dedicated to the worship of God.
M. D.
Beautiful church a few steps from victoria station, located on a nice square. The exteriors are gorgeous and it is the ideal spot for a nice photo.
K. L.
Inadvertandtly attended my first massive today and it was lovely. The catedral is beautiful and well with a visit.
C. J.
A wonderful example of the architecture of the period. A large Catholic Cathedral with several little chapels set within and that is precisely the beauty of the space. My favorite space within the Cathedral is the little dedicated space for those who wish to spend a little time in quiet solitude in front of the Blessed Sacrament.
Lovely big windows let the light in and the ambience within is one of total serenity and peace. An Oasis of calm and peace outside of the hustle bustle of the outside world in Central London
P. S.
Very nice and beautiful...I love it
R. J.
A solemn place to pray and think.
M. A.
For a major Catholic church this place somehow still manages to make services inclusive.
M. A.
My favorite Catholic Church in London. Well maintained and solemn.
S. H.
Beautiful Cathedral with fabulous architecture that blends well with the modern buildings that surround. Once inside it is a place of beauty, peace and spirituality. Take time to sit, reflect and take in the splendid surroundings.
Z. 4.
Stunning. A must experience
A. W.
I love this place. The mosaics are really worth seeing. This is a working cathedral in thst masses are held, daily confessions etc. The choir is world standard and if you get the opportunity to hear them do so. The crypt cafe serves basic food but is worth a visit.
The St Paul book shop is well stocked next door.
M. T. G.
Have our Sunday mass here for a change location.
L.
My lifetime quiet & healing place.
It is bright & warm to the soul and I particularly love the little front right corner with Our Lady's altar!
So many times I have been rescued from myself & gained p inner peace again🙏
V. R.
There are mass timings posted which you may want to bear in mind as to when to visit
M. B.
The place is sacred. I love the view outside and inside.
B. F.
Because who doesn't love Byzantine architecture and decoration???
H. P.
Lovely building to explore. I particularly liked the memorial to the English Martyrs: very modern.
I took time out for a coffee and sandwich in the small cafe, it was very welcome.
The toilet facilities are easily accessed and well maintained.
F.
Was amazed at this Cathedral . Not to be confused with Westminster Abbey which is at a different location. Outside of Cathedral looked a bit Greek orthodox but inside was interesting . Ceiling quite dark though Nice organ music . I will visit it again to learn more about Our Lady of Westminster .
A. W.
Love this place. Lots to see and mass here is great. There is a good little shop for the rosaries and other religious gifts. The living nature of this cathedral is in direct contrast to others that you may visit. You can also get some holy water if you wish. Can't recommend this place enough. If you haven't been add it to your list. There is no cost to enter.
J.
I've never been there before and it is a stunning place to visit. Especially during pandemic times, I'd recommend going if you're passing by.
G. G.
Very picturesque church! Inside even more beautiful than outside. Presume that modern building doesn't have any historical value but inside is very nice and calm. A lot of tourists want to see it and looking for it somewhere close to Westminster Abbey :) when by fact it is very close to Victoria.

Beautiful service! I have been a Catholic my whole life so being able to enjoy a service in a different country is a real blessing, the priest was lovely and had a beautiful sermon, the cathedral itself was incredible such detail in the mosaic work. Well worth the visit.

Very well organised.
The emphasis is on Worship.
We all must contribute to keep it open.
Thanks to the College of Chaplains.
They guide us all on devine rules to keep in good Relationship with God.
Love of your neighbours is the Key.

I liked this cathedral how the architecture and how it look very different, its appearance makes it look beautiful. Inside very nice as well, one of the best I've seen. Excellent to see lots of people and confession on all day. Thanks for a memorable experience i'll always remember.

Byzantine style and its charm, spiritual

I like the cathedral to pray for me and my family about travelling different countries for our holidays this year.

Stark beauty in a calm relaxing space that welcomes everybody!
I. L.
This fascinating church is far too often overshadowed by the Abbey a few blocks away. In my opinion, it's some of the most interesting architecture in London. Definitely worth a quick visit on a walk between the palace and parliament.
R. B. H.
Dont forget to visit there. This is a wonderful place
D. W.
A fantastic building. The architecture is wonderful and obviously the spiritual reason behind the building brings joy and fulfillment to many. I, however always think that MONEY is the root to all evil. And this Church really does like you to give it money. It wants your money. No, it really wants your money, it lusts after your hard earned cash.
W. S.
Its color stunning. Its beauty moving.
K. S.
A magnificent building. Great architecture,. a divine place, lots of people visit for offering prayers. Photographer love it. Friendly place for disabled and wheelchair friendly. The place bring lots of peace. A must visit location. Well connected by public transportation.
M. T. M. M.
Lovely spacious church. Worth a visit if you're in the area(free to enter).
E. R.
The staffs were exceptionally friendly and assisted through the services considering the COVID secure protocol. The premises was very clean and the maintenance is commendable to include the new COVID secure rules for visitors.
M.
A nice place to pray or sightsee if that's your thing. Really liked the attitude of the priests when coming into or out of the cathedral. The songs during the mass were harder than I'm used to sing during masses but I really liked that fact.
R. L. L. J.
Beautiful place to commune with Jesus.
M. T.
This Cathedral is historical and divine st the same time. The mass times are published and up to date on their website. The place itself is so peaceful that you will have a certain degree of calmness and spiritual guidance as you pray fervently.
a. b.
Great place for any catholic to participate in Mass. There is social distancing but because of the size, you will get a seat during the many Mass times in the week.
There is a good book store next door where you can find most of what you may need. You can even get KJV Bibles there!!!
D. H.
Great church to sit to pray or reflect. Beautiful building and relaxing atmosphere.
P. G.
Well worth visiting just to go up the tower(no steps here!) An unusual, striking building that inspires awe! Quite hidden away compared to other local landmarks, but worth seeking out.
I. S.
Majestic building. Temporary closed but worth seeing it even from outside.
D. W.
A gorgeous cathedral completely and utterly let down by the administration which will not place a old rite Latin Mass on its weekly schedule of Masses.
C. D.
A place of quiet reflection.
There is much more to this place than just the brickwork outside and the tower (which you can pay a small fee to go up). The inside has lots of historic paintings and other items of note, though because of the working nature of the Cathedral you need to pick your time to be able to see these in any detail.
Well worth just spending 30 minutes up the tower if you do not have time to see the whole place (access via the gift shop), as you get quite decent views of the surrounding area and the domes on the roof. If going up do at least take a phoneof camera though.
Not as well know as the main Cathedrals in London, but well worth the look as even the tower is quite cheap and easy to access with far fewer other tourists around.
M. R.
It is also a tourist site- so be aware of that aspect. It was built in 1903 so valued for historical architecture as well as Godly significance, so lots of sightseers.
BUT
This is such a beautiful church. A true spiritual haven in the middle of central london. Even though I am a Protestant, I often come by for services as I work nearby and to have quite time with God. The vespers benediction choir is just amazing. And there are several services every day. We need to work together to keep these beautiful sanctuary’s for God alive.
S. W.
This building has to be seen to be believed, the mosaics are wonderful.
F. G.
Visited this place for a rite of ceremony mass.
Did not see any signs for directions from the station and I have to say you need to know where you are going as I asked up to 10 ppl to no avail. I still got lost even after using Google maps. It's an old building with a great structure but their bookshop is fairly limited and you will have to go to St Paul's across the street for more variety and stock.
P.
I'm not a particularly religious person myself, but occasionally, I pop in here as it can be quite a calming atmosphere. The inside, as you would expect is beautiful. Sometimes, they have practising choirs there, and if you happen to drop by when they're singing, it only adds to the atmosphere. There's also a viewing platform here, which although I have not been to the top of, some friends and family have and they've said the views are spectacular! It's a good place to go for some quiet reflective time in peace.
K. M.
Beautiful church but.. We were asked to go out because we had a cup of coffee each and with all due respect we headed out only to see that there was a coffee shop within the church! Maybe we should have bought their coffee to be allowed to walk around the church. ☕😊
S. K.
The Roman Catholic Cathedral in London, headquarters of the R.C. church in England and Wales. Interesting in that it looks like a work in progress...a large part is beautifully finished with marble and mosaic...other parts are just bare brick.
Of course, first and foremost, it us a working church but there us a lot of interest to see.
M. D.
A beautiful building in the heart of London with regular services for Roman Catholics. Free to visit, though donations are welcome. Enchanting chanting and organ music. A peaceful oasis in Victoria.
S. N.
Refuge from the hustle and bustle of Victoria St and the serene interior is worth a visit. Side chapels are reminiscent of the churches in Spain with various devotions taking place throughout the year. Good shop and the chance to visit the bell tower to look out at the view for £6 per person, but you can stay up there for a considerable time.
A. S. (.
Really interesting to pop in and check out the architecture
r. w.
A work of Art in the making
K. B. L.
A breathtaking Cathedral with very holy Mass said in historic surroundings that takes you back in time to those centuries of a bygone era.
The atmosphere is reverent and tranquil; reminiscent of a retreat in rural surrounds. During special events it is very crowded and although the ambience is different from usual Mass times, there's a sense of 'belonging' that the experience is unforgettable.
Just one visit will leave an impression on the mind of having visited an architecturally aesthetic building steep in culture and history.
P. S.
It's a beautiful place crowded with tourists. Definitely a must see for anyone visiting London for the first time. Be sure to check visiting hours; sometimes they close early for a special service. Despite closing at 12pm that day, we were able to get in the morning and see the awesome architecture and burial places. It's huge; easy to get lost in. We weren't allowed to take photos inside.
a. j.
Always loved the services at Westminster Cathedral. The view from the front is beautiful with the different colours. Cathedral is full of information and great place to walk around and have a time of prayer.
I.
Lovely quiet place in the heart of a busy Victoria.
J. H.
Often overlooked by tourists in favour of St. Paul's Cathedral and Westminster Abbey, Westminster Cathedral has a surprisingly oriental-looking exterior, a beautiful albeit slightly dark interior and a nice observation platform on top of the tower with great views.
And unlike the other two which have staggering entrance fees, entrance here is free!
J. H. U.
Although relatively new as far as English churches go, this is a magnificent building. Still under construction after 130+ years, it is a living example of how a church evolves over time.
Even if you are not Catholic, or religious at all, the cathedral is still worth a visit. Not just to marvel at the edifice itself, but to attend a sung Mass for a very special spiritual and musical experience.
Holy Feast days might not be the best time, because the church is full of attendees and your tour will be restricted.
Y. V.
Quite a nice cathedral. Built with red bricks, it changes from the typical Gothic cathedral we're used to. The inside is nice, lots of beautiful paintings & sculptures. You can also go at the top of the tower (for a few £) to enjoy a splendid view!
S. M.
Unbelievable experience. Been in London, UK 38 years 1 month and 19 days. First time ever visit to Westminster Cathedral. A serene place of worship enriched with history and historical Christian Religious history and what beautiful Architecture. The Stained glass windows are totally awesome. A must visit for and all. Prayed. Amen
J. B.
Open, welcoming and not after an entrance fee just to sit and contemplate. People mill about just to see the place, whilst others listen to choir practise (if it's on), organ practise or even evensong which I go to if I'm in London close by.
Lovely building worth a visit even if you're not religious.
J. C. S.
Lots of history. Lovely place to pray undisturbed. The best place a Catholic can go to.
D. R.
We attended the Cathedral for a family baptism. The volunteer guides were very helpful, knowledgeable and informative. This is a lovely tranquil and holy space. Respectful visitors are very welcome.
I. D.
Well organized space for art show !
G. P.
A really busy open cathedral with wheelchair convenience and others. I thought we would able to find an open coffee shop with no success. For the fit person, climbing the tower. I do like the Sunday morning Mass in Latin. As well take a look for future events which can be very interesting.
G. C.
It's great, can't lie the area where the congregation sits isn't amazing but I'm usually with the choir where we've got those sweet sweet cushions for kneeling. They make serving our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ that biff easier (:
S. P.
Beautiful place and free to enter
S. A.
We love this Church we have been going there for the past 3 years. The reverend fathers are all nice. The cathedral itself is an historical gem and there s a choice of masses during the day.
N. A.
Nice place to pray, especially during the Catholic Feasts. Now during the Easter time there is nice tradition. In the special envelope named "Easter Lily" you can put money and write the name of your loved person. The money then is used to buy nice lilies (see photo) and the Masses will be offered for the named person. The blessings, graces and many other spiritual gifts can be obtained daily! Come, pray and see!
N. C.
The cathedral is free to enter and definitely worth a quick pop-in. I wouldn’t say it’s one of the most beautiful cathedrals in the world, but the interior is still stunning and there are informative signs by each of the chapels explaining the history and purpose of that particular chapel.
A.
Beautiful place open to all for prayer at almost any time of the day... the Lord is waiting for us there 🥰
S. J.
Hidden gem in London, definitely, it worths a visit. Wonderful mosaics in each chapel, marble columns which come from twenty four countries on five continents, many of them were used in ancient Greece and Rome. Amazing Neo-Byzantine facade. Just a 5 min walk from Victoria Station.
d. b.
Incredible place to visit and free admission unlike the state funded Church of England Cathedrals. Go to the top of the tower for amazing views. The crypt cafe is best value in Westminster area too
J. H. T.
A beautiful Cathedral where I was baptised and confirmed in 2009. Visit the blessed sacrament and any Catholics can receive pardon and peace in the confessional, confessions are heard daily from 11:30 until 6pm although check if it's a Sunday.
D. H.
Such a beautiful Romanesque building where, if you take the lift to the top of the tower, you can have panoramic views over Westminster. Internally the building is simple and calm. There is a gift shop.
N. A.
A night vision is recommended, it's the magical touch
J. S.
Absolutely beautiful cathedral in the centre of London. Has some very historic sculptures and some exquisite chapels. There is nearly always a mass on in one of them. A great first shop for picking up any Catholic orientated gifts. Outside there are two very well stocked Catholic bookshops that have a wide range of books about the history of Catholicism. A must see if you are religious or not.
b. i.
Touristy yet homely. A beautiful and well maintained edifice gifted to our generation by history. Worth visiting. Worth attending Mass. Go online and find the Mass Times. I suggest you attend and of the sung Masses. The singing is just breath taking .
M. O.
This is an excellent place to visit for a day if you want to find out more about the mother church of the diocese of Westminster. It's dedicated to The Most Precious Blood & is also the principal church of England and Wales. There are several Masses throughout the day during the week & even more on a Sunday. Some of these are sung right through & one is in Latin. There are guided tours available, but these have to be booked in advance. I highly recommend these if you have only a limited amount of time to see the Cathedral. They're well worth the money.
S. G.
Good tourist attraction one of my favourite, places to visit and I enjoy the evening services that are provided I always arrive on time when the service is about to begin and I didn't even know the times they where to begin. Nice and peaceful spot to sit for a while pray light a candle.
s. y.
I love Westminster Cathedral. Originally called Bulinga Fen. Later reclaimed by Benedictine monks builders and who owned Westminster abbey. Reformed and used as maze, pleasure garden and a ring for bull-baiting. Remained a waste ground.
Part sold in 17th century by the Abbey to build a complex prison in1834 and then the site acquired by Catholic Church in 1884 to build the Westminster Cathedral with a lot of history behind, bringing tourists attraction. There's a book shop annex and has all sorts of souvenirs. It's worth passing by if one happens to be around to have a look and you'll love it.
A. G.
Encompassing! Easily takes the common observer back to a much different time. The knowledge of bits of Latin will absolutely help as that's what most of the carvings, on the historical stones that have been brought and established here, are. The quietness that is kept by the respectful travellers who visit but also the faithful who pay their tribute of respect, is an important attribute. There are usually so many people inside and such a busy, relentless, noisy reality right outside the door that makes the quietness kind of divine.
M. A.
I went for the cov19 test service they provide in there, it was well organised and the whole process took 10min and the results came out within 20min after doing the test I was really impressed and it was all free amazing

For over a hundred years countless Christians and visitors of every faith and none have crossed the threshold of this holy place, sensing the presence of God and filling it with prayer and contemplation.
Our Cathedral is a vibrant parish church where the community is always being built and extended; a living house of prayer where Holy Mass is offered over 40 times every week and the Sacrament of Reconciliation is available for six hours each day.
This great edifice was opened in 1903 and in 2010 celebrated the centenary of its consecration. Designed by John Francis Bentley, the leading Church architect of his day, it is inspired by the early Byzantine architecture of the Mediterranean.
Since 1930 the Cathedral has been home to a shrine of the English saint and martyr St John Southworth. This Lancashire priest lived and ministered to the poor in the streets of Westminster. He died for his faith in 1654. The presence of his earthly remains in the Cathedral reminds the visitor that our ultimate destiny is the Kingdom of Heaven.
Westminster Cathedral is the home of a much-loved, world-famous choir, which sings Solemn Mass every day. People from all over the world come here to listen to great music from its remarkable and extensive repertoire.
V. K.
Beautiful cathedral, well maintained and less busy than the abbey
E. G. E.
As our lives become ever busier and frenetic, we can be left feeling spiritually empty inside; distracted from what is truly important. This deeply personal reason is why I always visit Westminster Cathedral whenever I am in Westminster on business or leisure.
I find these moments of quiet prayer and contemplation a valuable time to gather my thoughts in peaceful surroundings away from the frenetic atmosphere outside.
The nearest underground stations to Westminster Cathedral are St James’ Park and Victoria. It is the largest Catholic Church in England and Wales and the seat of the Archbishop of Westminster. The exterior of the church belies the beauty of the Byzantine Revival architecture within that await the casual visitor or celebrant alike.
There are two small chapels: The Blessed Sacrament, on the north side of the sanctuary, and the Lady Chapel to the south. The ceiling of the Lady chapel is particularly beautiful.
If you are able, kindly leave a modest donation to help with the conservation of this architectural wonder.
M. J.
Loved the atmosphere and seeing lots of Filipinos in the congregation. Although, we got told off by the altar clergy as we were in the way as the end of the mass procession, I will still travel to worship there.
J. L.
I love this place for its peace and holiness. Not crowded with tourist like Westminster abbey or st Paul's. This place for local but cathedral is beautiful and peaceful to worship.
S. L.
Always a serene place in the heart of London.
G. B.
This is one of those Cathedrals that is easy to miss and is probably not one of the most famous places you can see in London. But I was truly overwhelmed by my experience of the beauty and architecture of this place. Part of the cathedral has an incredibly intricate Mosaic covering half of the building. The Mosaic is done in tiny little gold pieces. My mind can comprehend how long this had to have taken and the talent behind it. It was one of those hidden sites that we found while we were on our bicycles and I am so glad that we did not simply bypass it because we have never heard of it before. Don't miss it Go in take your time and be inspired and awed.
B. N.
Lovely place to attend Mass and meditate. Beautiful architecture
c. s.
What a beautiful calm special place. This must be one of the most beautiful churches in London. There is also a very good cafe in the crypt and a little shop.
M. S.
Pleasant little cafe downstairs
C. B. E.
A beautiful and Serene place to be.
J. M.
A beautiful Cathedral Church in London. Very close to Victoria National Rail & Underground stations. It offers frequent Holy Masses. When you wnter the Cathedral you will quickly notice the silent and peaceful atmosphere. The Altar of this church looks marvellous. When you visit this Cathedral don't miss the amazing Chapel of St.Mary which is on the right side of the Cathedral.
P. L.
A magnificent building in Byzantine style made entirely of brick and no steel reinforcements, the Cathedral features a lot of sacred artworks and statues that emphasize the glory of martyrs, especially those who lost their lives in the UK. It will be great if the Cathedral can finally raise the funds needed to complete the ceiling.
C. K.
Lovely mass for relatives funeral
C. A.
Great place of worship. A beautiful Latin choir sings amazingly. There are multiple chapels inside the cathedral. The view from the top is great too.
G. P.
Well worth a visit if you are into viewing churches. It's quite a modern building and while the lower parts are very ornate the upper parts of the interior are mostly plain brick.
A. W.
It a stunning Cathedral at the heart of Westminster. The Cathedral is open everyday from the morning until the evening. For Catholic’s there is a confession available from 11:30 until 18, although this can change at any time so please check the website for more details. You’ll not find many places in the UK where confessions are available for that long.
C. D.
As cathedral architecture goes it's not the most spectacular you'll ever see, but the view from the top of the bell tower (small entry fee) is truly one of London's best kept secrets.
G. W.
I make sure I attend a service here every time I'm in the City of Westminster. It's something of a hidden gem, being unknown to most visitors to the area, but a gorgeous building in Byzantine style with a diverse range of services at a variety of times that will suit all schedules. The Solemn Mass at 10:30 on a Saturday is a must-see.
w.
Good and nice place to visit. Very interesting church, with mosaic and amazing types of stones.
Tourist information in many lanuages for free, good information about ceremonies, clean and with toiletts:)
Yes, there are toiletts, I hope, for free :)
K. A.
Lovely cathedral, stunning interiors. Service through almost the whole day. Great place to calm down and stop for a bit, hide from the rush
C. L.
Westminster Cathedral is a stunning jewel in the heart of busy London. It is stepped in history and will make you feel as if you had walked into three past as you enter it's dramatic carved wooden doors. A must see for all tourist
M. D.
I am culturally an Anglican but I really am a follower of classical mysticism - the golden thread that runs through all religions . I love the spiritual atmosphere of this cathedral and some of the quiet chapels . Would be good to have a chapel for those martyred by Rome as well as those martyred for Rome .
T. M.
Beautiful Catholic Cathedral, spectacular building to look from outside & still in operation with mass said daily. Many memorials to look at, a piece of history not to miss in London set back off Victoria Street opposite Cathedral Place.
c. h.
I just Cathedrals, Churches and historic houses, this one was lovely and manned by very helpful people
F. C.
Absolute history it was beautifully created an a sense anyone is welcome
P. M.
The cathedral looks great despite feeling very dark due to the top part is the walls and the curling being black. I can only imagine how it will look OK when it is finished.
E. P.
Wow never entered inside. It's breathtaking. Really worth a visit.
J. H.
Most amazing place I have ever seen in my life. It's truly beautiful and the staff were informative and kind. I recommend checking it out if you are in the area.
N. H.
It does not look like much from the outside, being fairly modern (c 1905) and built of bricks, but once you go inside and see the decoration in the chapels and at the main altar, you will be impressed. There is at least one Saint in this Cathedral in a side chapel, and the scale of the building will also impress. Very much worth a visit, and a voluntary contribution to the upkeep will go a long way to securing your place in the afterlife!! There is a manned information point just inside the front door, and I believe you can also pay to go up the tower for a great view of the most central area of Central London. The cafe in the crypt is rubbish though, so don't expect anything special from the very ordinary offerings in there.
G. C.
It is an impressive building dating from the 12th century. It is something historic and beautiful.
D. B.
A visit to London is not complete without visiting Westminster Cathedral. Very sincere atmosphere. Entrance is free. Excellent place for Mass for Catholics.
B. V. W.
I am coming for regular, almost daily worship here for the past 25 years. This place grew very close to my heart and because of it I found a place to live just 5 minutes of walk from Cathedral some time ago. I knew a very large number of priests here and they left the most excellent impression on me. They are good and holy men of many virtues and always ready to help. What is absolutely crucial to every priest is the most genuine love of Christ and leading others to the love of the Lord. These priests demonstrate it clearly and are truly very devout and loving. They are true shepards going extra mile if needed. I love listening to their sermons because they are full of Divine wisdom and humility. They live by what they preach. My most grateful thanks and highest recommendations belong to Fr John Scott, Fr Daniel Humphreys, Fr Michael Donaghy, Fr Julio Albornoz and the rest of the most amazing clergy there. They are all in my daily prayers and blessings. They have my wholehearted support and I encourage everyone else to assist them in every way whenever needed.
l. s.
It's a lovely place to visit. Dont need a car to get to it. Just come out of Victoria Station and it's a minutes walk. Beautiful inside. Incredible church organ.
C.
An impressive catholic church. The chapels on the sides are also very impressive. You can find a chamber with big octagonal basin for babtising - based on ones used in early Christianity. There is a tower that you can visit (6£) with view on the surrounding area (elevator, no need to climb). There is also a cafe in the basement (entrance between tower entrance and baptising basin). They also serve nice warm food! (Soup, toast eggs beans, cofee, tea and more).
刘.
It is not Westminster Abbey and is free. However, it is also definitely a fantastic place to visit. You can pay 6 pounds to take an elevator up and get the panorama view of west London.
M. K.
Lovely church, always has a service on and anyone is welcome. The old man who works in the shop is so rude and needs to be replaced!! He has no tolerance towards babies. My 1 year old dropped something from his stroller onto the floor and he was quick to turn around and tell us to watch out and be careful. When I reassured him that it wasn't anything from the display and was in fact something from his stroller he turned around with a dirty look on his face and said "STILL". I was so shocked and didn't know how to react as we are inside the house of God but he seemed to not care so I replied to him firmly and then left without buying what we needed. This was very awkward and uncomfortable.
This is so disappointing and I will surely not be going back into that shop, with or without my baby.
G. R.
Beautiful Cathedral
C. P.
The gallery used to be accessible by stairs but is now only accessible by lift. The views are spectacular but then this is London! It cost £5.00 to visit the tower, quite steep (Excuse the pun) but worth it knowing that the contribution will go towards finishing the cathedral. Highly recommended visit if you are in the area.
t. “.
Few tourists come here; or...get it confused with Westminster Abbey. Which is a shame because its partially completed decor has a fascinating history. The chapels are ornate with garniture, resplendent in Catholic iconography. If you go, pay for a trip up the bell tower. It offers a different view of London compared to the Eye.
H. 7.
Very interesting busy and interactive Cathedral. More than just a tourist venue and a few visitors should remember that when they are there. Well worth going to.
t. k.
Beautiful building, often overlooked on City trips and brilliant for the concert we attended, acoustics and good visibility from afar were excellent, hope to hear more there.
M.
A lot of it has been beautifully restored. I do not understand why they are asking me for a donation towards the works when the Vatican is one of the worlds richest status. Someone should give them a call.
E.
Famous site seeing. Mosaics, marble altars, and dedications make every meter of the central nave an interesting visual experience. There is always a policeman outside: ask him if you can enter and you will visit this Catholic church also during the liturgy, without making noise obviously (for free!)
J. S.
Set back from Victoria Street is this farely imposing red and white brick building with a mahoosive bell tower with impressive views across London.
Big green domed central roof, each turret is also topped by domes.
Has many windows in the turrets making it light and airy within.
Built as the Mother Church of Catholics in England and Wales. Catholics were not allowed to practice openly in England until 1829 and in London until after the Irish famine of 1851 when many settled in London to escape it!
Erected between 1895 and 1903 by the architect John Francis Bentley in Neo Byzantine design both externally and internally. On the former site of The Tothill Fields Bridewell Prison.
The entrance arch is vast spanning 3 doorways with 2 teirs of white pillars.
Lots of Art's and Craft's era marble mosaics within. Including a sculptured canopy held up by 8 pillars above the alter, and above that a mahoosive mosaic arch in lapis lazuli, pearl, marble and gold. The ceilings and walls of a variety of side chapels are equally grandiose with gold mosaics. And wonderful paintings in a wee alcove in the Chapel to St Gregory.
Mahoosive amount of 2 teir arched pillars run either side of the main central room. Leading off to other chapels.
Beautiful marble floors.
Well worth a visit. Incredibly busy. Café in the crypt. £6 per adult for the Tower lift but the rest is free!
In close proximity to The Horticultural Halls, St John's Smith Square, Westminster Abbey, Parliament Square, Houses of Parliament, Curzon Victoria Theatre, Little Ben Clock, Victoria Palace Theatre, Belgravia, Guards Museum, Churchill War Rooms, Horse Guards Parade, Cenotaph, St James's Park, Household Cavalry Museum, The Royal Society, Institute of Contemporary Arts, Duke of York's Column, Buckingham Palace, Grosvenor Gardens, Pimlico, Tate Britain, Victoria Tower Gardens, Big Ben, The Jewel Tower, The River Thames, Lambeth Bridge, Lambeth Palace, Archbishop's Park, The Garden Museum, Albert Embankment etc.
Nearest stations are St James's Park, Victoria Overground and Underground, Pimlico, and Victoria Coach Station.
B. M.
Beautiful church. Lovely Xmas service. Dec 2018.
B. M.
An amazing Catholic church. Mass times are easily available and the visits are free. I definitely recommend this place as top 15 sights in London. Either to visit mass or to visit as a tourist or both.
A. S. (.
Never been. so peaceful loved it forgot I was in London so quiet.
J. A.
The most beautiful piece of church architecture and my the first major church that I have visited. A very special little Cafe hidden away always worth a look see. I had my holy communion here back in the early 70s. My school St Vincent de Paul is right beside it.
g. a.
The environment is awesomely beautiful, enjoyed every bit of time spent there
T. K.
Really nice piece of architecture. Beautiful interior with feel of history. Must see!
J. j.
It's a place I love to go and amasing for people of all religions to see the cathedral works .
Memories always for me..
t. o.
Wonderful choir and music.
j. s.
Dark and austere, but a quiet place for prayer
m. c.
Beautiful Cathedral, seats are a little tight, and the dark ceilings pale in comparison to many European Catholic churches, but it is still a gorgeous place!
J. T. D.
Visited this place during our 15th wedding anniversary with my wife. I have never been to a church as solemn as this church is. I think the Eucharistic celebrations must be like this.
C. C.
I had the opportunity to visit this church at 17h00. It was really nice and I like it because although it is a historical and touristic place, the people feel respect the place essence yet and you can pray too.
N. U.
I attended Mass here with a friend. It's a beautiful cathedral. If you use Google to get to the church, it will take you to the back of the church. You need to walk all the way around.
G. L.
Magnificent church that is so well designed and kept. Listened to an organ rehearsal. The atmosphere is surreal and really takes you away.
J. F. R.
This is the Roman Catholic Cathedral for England and Wales.
It is the mother church for Roman Catholics of England and Wales.
It very ornate inside with a large alter known as the High Alter at the far end of the Cathedral.
It is Neo-byzantine in style.
There are a lot of smaller Chapels around the main nave of the Cathedral.
There is a cathedral gift shop and cafe as well.
I would recommend a visit to Westminster Roman Catholic Cathedral in London.

Loved the mass conducted by the South American Priest and the building.

Yes because of food hand out. Nice people and weather is good on average day.

Lovely Cathedral. Friendly staff. I'm not very religious, this place is not over the top. I felt very peaceful walking around

Plenty to see, beautiful place.

A warm welcoming place which combines intriguingly with the level of its decoration & formality oozing from tradition. This is a church no one need be scared of entering.
M. H.
It's a serene place to worship and to gather ones thoughts. A must see in terms of both tourism and ecclesiastical faith finding🤲

The cathedral is very beautiful on the inside. If attending mass isvyour thing, they are in Latin (at least when I went there). No photos during the service, but it is okay any other time. 💒

A beautiful gem, in the heart of a busy city. A wonderful place to pray and reflect.

I stayed at Egham for a year while completing my postgraduate degree at Royal Holloway. Most every Sunday I would take the train to London to hear mass here. Really a wonderful Cathedral and kept me from being too homesick as going to mass in a wonderful place of worship such as this with a friendly and warm community helps. My favourite part would be the adoration chapel, after mass I would go there, it's at the left side of the alter place, devotees would just pray there, it is a very calming experience, knowing many are in one asking for help and giving thanks.
Really wonderful memories and amazing architecture too! Brought my family here when they visited me.

Shaun Stewart says the facilities are poor. I suppose he means the toilets. Well, the fact is: the Cathedral has put in an excellent new toilet block with access from the Cathedral itself. He must have missed it, as it has been open for more than a year. As to the volunteers - that's what they are - giving up their time to help visitors. Remember it's a house of prayer first and foremost. People go there to worship.

Nice views from tower. Interesting cathedral
T. K.
Great introduction from the staff
U. C.
Not as old as Westminster Abbey and seemingly half-finished. Queued for hours for confession but had to leave before was able to go. If you are intending to seek sacrament be prepared for a very long wait!
S. W.
Free to go in, but would recommend making a donation as it's a beautiful cathedral. There are different areas with completely different designs to appreciate.
A. B. S.
Very beautiful place, perfect to make tourism as well as to pray in peace. Very nice and helpful guardians. Mandatory to visit if you're in London!
B. j.
Beautiful mosaics in the cathedral many interesting statues. Great shoop too. Services are not bacj to normsl and a werk ago the building was closed.
J. O.
Beautiful prayerful space in central London. People of all faiths and none are welcomed. Free information pamphlets available. Voluntary donations are much appreciated.
A. H.
Attended midnight Christmas mass and it was a delight to listen to the choir throughout mass. My only disappointment was at the ushers who accosted a Muslim man who was attending the service and left his hat on. They ended up making a bigger scene out of a relatively minor issue and were not representative of a welcoming atmosphere the Catholic church is supposed to curate and advocate.
g. k.
Love this catholic cathedral. Brilliant catholic book shop next door too!
G. A.
The Sung Mass is awesome. I love the opportunity to attend Mass every day and throughout the day. The multiple side Chapels are great. Confessions are available always. Spiritually uplifting.
T. R.
Nice Carhedral, very ornate. Only wooden chairs and not pews and don't appear to have kneelers. Otherwise I would have given 4 stars. Good for the tourists I imagine.
H. A.
Amazing place to visit.

Huge! Beautiful ❤️
S. M.
Here is Westminster Cathedral, and is not so busy. Please be careful when you visit inside because Catholic believers sometimes prays.
The inside feeling is solemn atmosphere.
R. H.
Lovely and peaceful place in the heart of London and they have very nice little shop if you need a Bible or any souvenirs for baptism , Holly cominun or any Christian event.

Really nice place
T. G.
A really beautiful place.
I went there to the 9.00 a.m. mass. People were friendly and welcoming. At the entrance you can find books with the prayers and readings, so that you can follow the service in English.
E. R.
This is my local church..it is breathtakingly beautiful just go inside and see the beauty... the peace and serenity you can feel while you sit..it fills you full of strength and love
J. C. R.
We marvelled at the beauty and serenity of this magnificent cathedral. Wonderful new mosaics with a reminiscence of Byzantine style decorate the interior. Definitely worthwhile visiting!
G. N.
Amazing place truly. Felt this church holy and very historic. And somehow feeling super compy as well. I bought gifts for my relatives who are part of catholic church.
R. C.
Such a beautiful place. I'm not really a religious person, but I could spend all day here looking at all the architecture. I highly recommend this as a must see if visiting London.

I've been going to the Cathedral for a very long time and decided to stop going after having one bad experience after another.
Originally, I found the Church peaceful, holy, and a place which almost enforced self-reflection but as time changes so do the people and I cannot say I feel the same about this place as I did two years ago.
Firstly, I felt like I was being watched walking around the shop I've walked around many times before, the rudeness and unprofessional actions of the volunteers, especially one who physically forced by brother away form looking at a confessional (which was not being used by the way!)
Its unfortunately NOT what it used to be and I am therefore giving it a thumbs down.
Appeal: Yes, It looks good!
Facilities: Lacking, minimal
Service: Religious Service: interrupted by tourists and children crying
Shop Service: Overpriced (cheaper on-line) with rude staff
D. S.
OK so the "other" cathedral. 1890s-1910s Art nouveau in places. Nave vaulting unfinished. Differing styles of side chapels are intriguing. And of course the domes, the domes!!!
S. T.
A very unusual building on the outside, reminiscent of Geraldton Cathedral, but more traditional on the inside. Mass here is amazing. I attended a solemn mass sung in Latin for the first time, which was a bit odd for me, but a real treat. I even had a chance to have tea with the parish locals and have a chat afterwards. Plan which mass you want to attend.

What a beautiful cathedral well worth a visit.

Love the Cathedral. Inside feels very holy to me. Whenever I pray or attend mass here, I leave feeling peaceful and blessed. Superb atmosphere.
J. A. B.
What a building!! Stupendous! Uplifting! A favourite place! A Byzantine masterpiece by John Francis Bentley. My favourite chapel is St Andrew's for Scotland designed by Robert Weir Schultz with amazing inlaid Ebony furniture designed by his friends Ernest Gimson and Sidney Barnsley, the leading exponents of Arts & Crafts Movement furniture

Loved it,lovely church to pray and to meditate, if you need a quiet time with your God.

The spiritual destination for all

The Sunday 10:30am choir is just brilliant here. Must attend. They also have the morning liturgy of hours prayer sung before the mass.

Best cathedral in London. Worth a visit if you in Victoria station area. Can feel the warmth and serenity of the place as a holy place.
İ. B. G.
There was mass when we visit there. First time I've seen mass. People was friendly. It was huge Cathedral. Normally we are not allowed to take photo. But I tried my best.

I LOVE this Cathedral...so special in many many ways...visit and fall in love with its charm...a real spiritual haven of peace in Westminster...built on the land of a former prison I kid u not... Lots of lovely side chapels.. Go rite down 5o the bottom on the left for the Blessed Sacrament Chapel and sit there in peace... Go to the left of that for a lovely Sacred Heart statue and leave ur cares and worries at his feet... Go to the bottom right hand of the altar for a splendid lady Chapel always a special place to visit... Confessions r v beautiful here.. I wonder if it's because the Cathedral is dedicated to the Precious Blood that confessions r so purging... U feel so uplifted afterwards... There's always queues a good sign... Check out the side chapels... Go to the little cafe in the crypt... U can spend ages here... I also love the tiny Blessed Sacrament Chapel in the ground floor of St Paul's bookshop next door... Open the doors to c the host and spend quiet time sitting with Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament...a little piece of Heaven in the middle of Londonx
R. F.
I love architecture and this building is amazing in detail and when u walk through the doors you sense the history that is here..you feel it. It's just written in the air..and you breath every step of it..

Beautiful, I donated lit my Candle and thanked God Lord Jesus Christ for everything I have.
J. P.
The most peaceful place in London 🙌🏽
N. M.
Beautiful Cathedral. Despite tourist taking pictures everywhere and the unfortunate presence of security guards, its retains its original purpose. A house of prayer.
S. K.
Dropped in for a visit while sightseeing in London. Fantastic building. Very interesting items to look at and friendly staff. Quiet and reflective.
A. O.
It's a sight to behold. The presence of God is so strong inside. The Catholic Church is very traditional and it's depicted inside the Cathedral
E. V.
Christmas mass amazing
D. M.
Big and not the most beautiful of Cathedrals, but despite it being on the tourist trail, it is a very prayerful place with good liturgy.
A. P.
Beautiful. An peaceful escape in madness of the city.
J. R.
If your coming to London it's a must see. Looks fantastic.
L. D.
Such a special place. It means a lot to me.
H. P.
This is a huge and impressive building. We had a late afternoon mass with 1000 children there it was comfortably full.

I recommend!
5 Stars!

Properly titled "The Metropolitan Cathedral of the Precious Blood of Our Lord Jesus Christ," but better known as Westminster Cathedral is the most beautiful of London's Catholic Churches. Built between 1895 - 1903 Westminster Cathedral was consecrated in 1910 and is the larges Catholic Church in England or Wales. Considered a Masterpiece in high visible White-Striped brick and stone. The domes are built out f brick without use of concrete or steel.
S. K.
Imposing and huge (largest Catholic church in England and Wales) and a rare example of Byzantine style in the city. Also for a fiver you can get up to the bell tower (great views don't include Big Ben as it's hidden behind Victoria Tower)
S. S.
Free to enter (donations are appreciated). A wonderfully decorative Cathedral with it's various chapels and Stations of the Cross and a varied history going back centuries.
D. W.
A beautiful place, free to all, as it should be (donate what you can). Whenever I pass I always take a little time to visit and enjoy some quiet reflection.
A. C.
Beautiful cathedral. Visit the tower of the cathedral, just 6 libres to enjoy a very good view of London.
E. D.
Again steeped in history free to get in.
M. P.
Cathedral of the Roman Catholic archdiocese of Westminster built in the Romanesque style, situated only 5 mins away from Victoria station on Victoria street. Whilst a major tourist attraction in central London, the Cathedral of the Most Precious Blood is very much a living, working Church. Featuring the renowned world famous choir which sings everyday for the Solemn Mass as well as for daily Vespers. There are numerous Masses each day and the number of penitents queuing for confession is always long. Votive candles burn in every chapel representing the prayers of pilgrims and tourists alike whilst superb views of central London can be gained from the top of the campenile. Well worth a visit
S. S.
Cavernous and dark but majestic and spiritual.
K. T.
Beautiful, charming little chapels. However, the extraordinary ministers of the Holy Communion are unnecessary during many Masses, thus, I'm afraid that it's an abuse.
Z. W.
My haven of peace when all the world around is mad. A great place for meditation and refuge from a busy world.

Its a must stop and see when you visit this area.
Many iconic things have happened there, and will happen in the future. Doesn't take to much time out of your day. Must see.

Beautiful, very solemn place of worship.

Very nice interiors and pleasant service.

An amazing structure and place of Catholic worship in a Protestant/secular/multi-cultural city.
Great 'courtyard' outside for meet n greet.
S. S.
very worth to go and have a look!!
C. G.
A surprise in the middle of a square behind Victoria Station. Beautiful and Serene with ornate pillars and statues.
F. 1.
Stunning hidden gem. There is numerous mass everyday and also confession is usually heard for 6-8 hours a day too, but the line for confession can get very busy.
S. C.
A beautiful cathedral.
J. G.
I beautiful piece of architecture but unnecessarily expensive, another symbol of the extreme wealth of the richest organisation in the world that makes me wonder how many lives could be bettered with the amount this buildings worth. Classic religion!
C.
You do not want to miss this Church if you visit UK...
M. H.
New tower has a great view! A bit pricey (£6) if you’re nice t a concession (£3) but probably one of the cheapest views in London
B. D.
One of most grandiose and most beautiful cathedrals I've ever seen. Though I'm afraid that it can sometimes become over crowded due to its popularity.
A. C.
Sometimes we need a place to pray, even though it's too much tourism activity, cannot say you will have the peace to get in contact with any devinety
G. T.
I had the honour of serving mass at Westminster Cathedral for over 25years it s the most beautiful of all churches. The late Cardinal Hume was a kind and gentle paster to his flock.
s.
My favorite Cathedral in London. The atmosphere is amazing. Love it

I just love this cathedral. I feel a great sense of peace there. I often pray by the glass coffin of a wonderful man-St John Southworth. You can feel his utter goodness and selflessness
