Relaxed, but the service started almost immediately after we arrived.

Brethren, brethren, brethren – let us stand to pray.

KJV translation was used on the overhead projection.
What musical instruments were played?
Keyboard, guitar and drums.
Did anything distract you?
No.
Was the worship stiff-upper-lip, happy clappy, or what?
VERY happy clappy – this church is extremely devoted to God. They don’t hold back in their worship and send it at full throttle. It was a joy to behold how enthusiastic they are in their worship.

Which part of the service was like being in heaven?
The worship! If you want to see seriously devoted, heartfelt and sincere worship of God – go to this church. It was heavenly at times. When God brings these people home, heaven will be a brighter place for it.
And which part was like being in... er... the other place?
At the start they mentioned the devil had been tempering with their PA system, but we didn’t notice anything wrong with it. Seems like they fixed it just in time.
What happened when you hung around after the service looking lost?
Various members of the congregation warmly greeted and spoke with us. We were impressed with how friendly and warm they were.
How would you describe the after-service coffee?
Not only did they have good tea, but really nice sandwiches and fruit!
How would you feel about making another visit (where 10 = ecstatic, 0 = terminal)?
6, 6, and 5. It’s a fantastic church, but the service was a little on the long side (over 2.5 hours) for our taste.
Did the service make you feel glad to be a Christian?
Yes x3.
What one thing will you remember about all this in seven days' time ?
The outstanding worship and the lady who testified that all food was potentially poisonous and we should only consume culturally relevant food.
Final thoughts: One of the most welcoming churches we have visited. It was truly delightful to speak with such warm, friendly and devoted Christians.
