M. P.This is a modern Catholic Church which is dedicated to Blessed Dominic as he was the Passionist Priest who received Blessed John Henry Newman into the Roman Catholic Church at Newman's College which is on the opposite corner of College Lane to the church.
There is a bronze plaque sculptured by Faith Tolkien on the wall inside the church which depicts this event.
