This is such a wonderful church. We loved it, and was undoubtedly, my favourite in Cornwall. The church itself isn't that big, but the location and the surrounding is just magnificent.
It closes early so make sure you don't head late.
There's parking close by.
E. W.
Lives up to the positive reviews and worth the extra drive, my only tip would be to ensure you visit at high tide or a hour either side of it
We visited on a early Sunday morning so had the luxury of a empty car park and very little noise which is always a bonus. The church and graveyard are kept in a immaculate condition and it is a lovely place just sit and watch the wildlife.

Simply beautiful - if you are into genealogy and are looking for a particular grave in the very extensive burial grounds then head to the church where you will find a card index and area map to put you in the right direction
A. K.
Amazing little find. Never thought a churchyard could be so beautiful. Could spend hours reading the stones. Will return. Worth £2 parking as it goes towards the upkeep and if you go you will find out why.
P. L.
Simply beautiful church and setting. Well worth a visit. Lovely coastal walk to St Mawes
M.
Wow, what an amazing place to go and see. Well worth our walk from St. Mawes. Great gardens and church. Some of the garden paths are quite steep.
D. R.
Such a beautiful place peaceful and lovely well worth a visit the kids will not be disappointed either
B. H.
The church is lovely with some interesting stained glass windows. But what makes it unique is the graveyard. Somewhat terraced up the hill, with the most amazing planting and overlooking the cove, it is simply magical. Slightly fairy tail, certainly enchanting and ethereal. No wonder John Betjeman praised it so highly.

Absolutely gorgeous place, delightful church and churchyard with beautiful gardens situated right by the water's edge. I want to be buried here!
I. C.
Very quiet peaceful place well worth a respectful visit. Long slopes or steps lead down to the church and inlet, beautifully kept gardens with the headstones mixed in. A new tea room with new gardens on opposite side of road.
G. B.
Absolutely stunning church and grounds, gravestones that are hundreds of years old surrounded by beautiful flowers and trees, so the gardens are ever changing. There's winding pathways and steps throughout leading you to a different area each time, be careful if you're unsteady on your feet though, especially when wet! Dogs are allowed on a lead, just make sure you pick up after them for goodness sake!!!
Lovely view over the creek and there's a joining path from the church over to Pascoe's Boatyard which is a great little beachy area when the tide is going out and offers fantastic views.
J. G.
Fabulous setting. Pre Christian - Celtic holy well. Subtropical gardens. Calm unassuming church
j. e.
Beautiful church and churchyard on the river's edge Some fascinating headstones set amidst some beautiful planting and trees Fantastic place for some quiet time Some paths are difficult and need care main paths are easier There is a walk to the Holy well and on further There is good CAR parking donations for this and the church and churchyard are appreciated There are toilets at the car park Also in the immediate area is a "cafe" although we didn't visit it was busy and I have heard good things said about it Beautiful church and churchyard to visit
D. G.
Such a peaceful & beautiful place. A place for meditation, inside & out.
A.
Beautiful, just beautiful and the most idyllic resting place for all those who came before us.
J. S.
Never seen a church like this cc 550 so old, in the grounds are rhododendrons classic British trees and lot of palm trees. Set on multi levels and nicely looked after another to a tidal estuary.
H. W.
Beautiful grounds in a stunning location. It was described by Sir John Betjeman as ‘to many people the most beautiful churchyard on earth’. He wasn't wrong.
A great location to start and finish circular walks on the Roseland peninsula with expansive views of the Fal estuary.
B. -. T. P. &. P. F.
Lovely walk and spectacular church still used for local weddings, seeing a church next to water I’d very strange but still beautiful. Walk from St Mawes.
I. B.
Beautiful church in a stunning location, very peaceful & lovely gardens to wonder your way through. Right near the river. Cafe & toilets near by. Highly recommend a visit.

What a beautiful church! It was so lovely and friendly. The graveyard is huge and’s very well looked after. If you like a nice peaceful walk , you’ll love this.
D. N.
Beautiful church set in very large churchyard. The waterside location and Palm trees give this location an almost Carribean feel. Very well recommended. There is a large car park further up the road.
T. T.
We had a walk around the the lovely planted grounds around the church. The shoreline comes very close to the churchyard with yachts moored on the other side of the water. Refreshments available across the road from the car park with squirrels running between tables.
E. L.
Beautiful exotic church gardens next to the estuary.
J. F.
A place of rest, and beauty.
S. B.
The most peaceful church I've visited, I love just walking down through the gardens, reading all the quotes. The local wildlife just add to the experience. Squirrels robins and a huge dragonfly. The churches location is idyllic, right next to the water. Walk along the path to get some great views for photos. Loved the special little touchs inside and so very beautifully looked after.
B. R.
A beautiful little church set in such beautiful surroundings. Probably best to visit on a dry day.
D. C.
One of the most beautiful settings for a church I have been to from the grave yards which were so well maintained to the church by the water front. A must to go and see.
N. G.
Beautiful, calm, evocative of centuries of worship, St Just-in-Roseland church is well worth a visit. Amenities include parking and toilets. Miss V's Cornish Cream Teas is just across the lane and serves high quality food and drink in a new made-for-purpose building with both indoor and outdoor seating.
L. J.
A must! This is the most amazingly beautiful church yard. Stunning views over the river. Plus a wonderfully well cared for peaceful and prayerful Church. John Betjamen knew what he was talking about.

I have visited this place 5 times already. I'm not very religious or a frequent churchgoer, but right here in this place I feel something mystical that I can only feel there. It's so touching to me. Especially the proud Cornish flag waving in the wind. I hope this place stays the same for many generations to come.

Ein wunderbarer Ort der Ruhe um die Seele baumeln zu lassen, sehr schöne alte Kapelle umrahmt von einem alten Friedhof mit Palmen
(Translated)
A wonderful place of rest to unwind, very beautiful old chapel surrounded by an old cemetery with palm trees
E. F.
(Translated)
More romance is almost impossible. Parking at the chapel without a pay machine, but to be fair, please fill the donation box. Someone is working very hard here to keep the chapel and cemetery in such great condition, that deserves recognition. And the grounds are a graveyard so no place for a picnic...that should be respected.
C. L.

I was there and felt the mystical and sacred truth in this place.
