Beautiful church. Mass was very beautiful and conducted with respect. Pamphlets are at the entrance to guide the congregation through the mass. Small giftshop at the entrance. Stained glass windows are pretty. Pews are wooden and old, a little rough on the knees. Confession is 30 minutes before each mass and the priest stays a little after the procession.

What a gorgeous church and beautiful mass! Father Richard’s homily was so thoughtful and full of truth. We were just here on holiday, but how lucky the people of York are to have a place like this in their city! Highly recommend attending a service here at least once.

Visited as a bell ringer and was warmly welcomed. If you're in the area at 7pm on a Thursday evening do stop and listen to the bell practice. A wonderful English sound

We always visit St Wilfrid's, York every Sunday from 2018 till date (2022). There are 2 Masses offered on Sunday. 10.30 am (English) and 12pm (Sung Latin). One of the many beautiful churches in York with choir singing hyms beautifully. It is a must visit if you are in York.

Very Spirit filled church. On weekdays there's Eucharistic adoration from 1130am. Those touched by the Lord can go for the Sacrament of reconciliation. Daily mass is at 1210pm. Fr Richards gives good homilies

I live in Glasgow, but have had the privilege of visiting St Wilfrid's several times in recent years. Recently I was able to attend two Sunday masses with two of my small daughters. Its a truly beautiful Church, even my children were moved to comment on this. The standard of the latin liturgy and accompanying music/chant is superb and truly helps lift our hearts and minds to God. The priests and congregation are very helpful and friendly. I look forward to my next visit!

We began our married lives here and St Wilfrid's have since become family to us. When I was out of work, a part-time job in the parish came my way. When my daughter was born, meals were delivered. With it being a city centre parish, it attracts a diverse congregation of families, students, tourists and plenty of people who are of international heritage. I love that my daughter can meet people from such a variety of backgrounds in such a small city through our church. Everyone is welcome here.

My parents were married there on 04 Sept 1939 - 80 years ago, on a Special Licence, the day after WW2 began. They were married for 24 hours Papa went off to War and returned almost 6 years later ! St Wilfrid's is indeed a special place in our family.

A wonderfull place for quite reflection and contemplation. A beautiful old Catholic Church. Remember it is a house of god and devotion so please respect its purpose.

Mass is celebrated in the usus antiquior or extraordianary form every Sunday at 5pm. It is a sung Mass and is followed by Benediction. As one might expect in a parish run by Oratorians, the liturgies are conducted in an exemplary way. Please note that the sung Latin Mass is now at 12noon on Sundays, and the choir has been enlarged so that polyphony can be sung.

It's an old Roman Catholic Church, I used to go as young boy, still go to church, my mother and father used to go, but now have passed on.

Extremely moving to walk into the narthex of this church in the shadow of the Minster and read the list of names of English martyrs. Nearby is the shrine of St. Margaret Clitherow. "In all thy works remember thy last end, and thou shalt never sin." Sirach 7:40
