This is a great shop selling quality clothes. You don’t have to be a Mod - just have good taste and an aversion to big shop brand names. The sound track in the place is cracking as well. Expect to dress while listening to soul, jazz and other proper vibes.

I have just received my wax cotton Harrington jacket and I have to say what a great jacket it really is! I personally have never seen a wax cotton Harrington before, so for me it is rare. This company has great customer service skills, especially Jonathan and I highly recommend the company!

Beautiful range of suits and available nowhere else, the selection of other clothes is also clearly thoughtfully chosen. The staff are helpful and if you're lucky enough to be helped by the owner you'll get some of the best service in Brighton. (Which is really saying something.) He'll give great advice as he really knows his trade. Everything from; which buttons to do up, to which style of suit suits you best. I came away with the perfect choice after leaving initially the day before and coming back after he said he'd search his stock room especially. Couldn't be happier with the experience, was even recommended a tailor to take up the trousers and consulted on which boots to pair with the suit I bought. All in all a 5 star experience!

Very well designed clothing. Great customer service and very knowledgeable staff. All thier own brand clothing made in batch production so no waste and made in England or Europe. Except Jeans which are made in Japan. Also some quality brands like Dents gloves and Loake shoes.

Fantastic service and staff. Came into Brighton to buy a suit from Ted Baker - no choice - assistant said try JTG! Great shop lots of choice - and they fit! Wanted a sharp modern suit for a wedding - as I am almost old enough to be a Mod and my suits seemed ancient! Staff couldn’t do enough - even bringing suits up from their workshop. Spent over an hour there and came out with Electric Blue in Mohair - let’s see the nephews keep up with that! 😀 Thanks.

Really liked T his shop. There clothes have a retro look but are beautifully made. Fabrics for shirts are designed in house. I looked at some jackets, they were different from anything else out there but still completely wearable. Recommended a visit. I have now gone on and bought jacket, shirt and boots. All premium quality and sold with a genuine smile. My initial impression was correct. I'll return here again.

Called in the shop as I was working in Brighton (I live in Leeds). I really wanted a new suit but unfortunately the largest trousers in stock were still slightly too small for me but worry not my contact details were taken by the helpful staff member and a larger pair were ordered in for me. Two weeks later my midnight blue whistle was delivered to one very satisfied customer. Great customer service Jonathan kept me up to speed from start to finish.

Some of their stuff is great but everytime I visit they don't have things in my size (which is a pretty standard medium). Lots of choice in waist 28, if you're familiar with their sizing then I wonder who that actually fits. Perhaps a review of stocking policy is in order? They would certainly get more business from me if they did.

Jump The Gun are unlike any other business that you will deal with! On my first visit I was treated as if I was the most important customer to ever enter the shop and over the years that I have been a customer, I have been treated in the same way on every single visit. You are greeted like an old friend every time that you walk in, and are served by a staff member who not only is incredibly passionate about the clothing that they sell, but will make constructive recommendations on fit and style that are unerringkly accurate: In other shops you pay for this kind of 'personal shopper service' - at JTG it is just what they do for every customer. The quality of their clothing is outstanding, rivalling bespoke made to measure garments at very reasonable prices considering the quality and exclusivity of what they sell (which is mostly their own branded, artisan manufactured, limited run clothing). Although their clothing is 60s / Mod influenced, because such style is effectively timeless and never out of fashion, there is always a mix of customers in the shop, from those into the Mod scene to 'normal' customers simply looking for a decent suit, knittwear etc that is a cut above the standard high street offerings. My only complaint is that my normally prudent use of my credit card seems to go right out of the window everytime I step into JTG - there are simply too many tempting things to buy! I can't recommend them highly enough!

I always love shopping at JtG. Mostly online, but I have also been here a couple of times. The JtG staff are very friendly and helpful. You can find anything here, shirts, suits, shoes, ties, socks, hats, jumpers, wallets, jackets, coats, you name it. Clothing without logos, no nonsense, quality. A lot of their clothing are made in UK and europe. It's not expensive to shop here, considering what you pay for. Top rating!
