If you're looking for a unique, sustainable wedding dress, Ashwell and Co are an absolute must! They have an amazing range of vintage wedding dresses, and an in-house seamstress who will work with you to help create something really beautiful and unique. My 1970s lace dress started off very frothy and intense, but with a little adjustment we created a lovely unique, summery dress; I absolutely loved it.

We went for a hen do on Sunday and it was by far the best afternoon tea I have been too in a long while! The cakes were beyond amazing and we loved the vegan options. The host was so informative and had such passions for his business. We also came away with some items from the shop! If you are ever in Bristol, I recommend going here for afternoon tea! We will come back! Thank you so much for making our hen party a very happy and fun experience. We left with our bellies full!

We were large group having the classic afternoon tea here. The owner introduced himself, explained everything was freshly made in house and what was on the menu. They have an extensive tea menu with cordials available too. The afternoon tea itself was a very generous portion of sandwiches, cakes and a scone. The sandwich fillings were classic with exciting twists and really flavoursome. The cakes were beautiful, tasty and a really good selection. The smell of freshly baked scones wafting through was lovely. The generous portions meant that most of the group was taking something home too. The setting was really beautiful, from the table dressing to the table wear and being surrounded by vintage wedding dresses and clothes. It was such a lovely experience, everyone in our group enjoyed it and we would love to visit again.

I visited Ashwell and Co for a bridal appointment. Kate was so welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable. She had pulled some amazing dresses for me to try on and amazingly was able to assertain what I was looking for from a brief questionnaire. I was anxious about the experience prior to going along, but was immediately made to feel so at ease and in incredibly safe hands. I went on to purchase the first dress I tried on and it was all thanks to Kate's knowledge, skills and vision for how the dress could look. Also the whole thing was just really good fun and Kate is brilliant company. If you're looking for something slightly different from a wedding dress (or even if you're not!) I can't recommend Ashwell and Co highly enough.

I recently held my afternoon tea hen party here and it was wonderful! We had the whole place to ourselves. Kate and Will and their staff were so welcoming. Everything was made from scratch, including the bread and cream and the food was delicious. They even boxed some up to take home as we couldn't eat it all. Afterwards, we had so much fun trying the vintage clothes on and we we bought quite a few pieces, which are a lovely memento of a brilliant day! Would thoroughly recommend Ashwell and Co for your event and to browse lovely clothes.

Had a wonderful dress appointment at this lovely shop. Really nice environment, table and chairs for my mother to sit at, big mirror for viewing the dresses and an out of sight changing area. The dresses are gorgeous, I had a lovely experience and Kate was so friendly and knowledgeable. Bought the standard afternoon tea for my girlfriend’s birthday - thoroughly enjoyed!!! Fantastic variety of sandwiches (NOT a standard boring veggie selection and even impressive to me as a meat eater!). Delicious homemade cakes and scones with all the trimmings. Great value and outstanding quality - will be recommending for sure!

Amazing afternoon tea in a lovely surrounding! I booked the tea due to the good reviews I had read online and they are definitely true to life! The food was top quality and fresh, entirely homemade (apart from the jam), and beautifully presented. The seasonal menu is updated every few weeks for variety and the choices are delicious. We really enjoyed sitting amongst all of the vintage clothing while enjoying our afternoon tea. It is a different and interesting change of scenery compared with other tea rooms. The owners were also so lovely, friendly and accommodating! Definitely definitely recommend!!

I took my sister to Heartfelt Vintage hen do, Kate and will were able to help me out last minute after being letting down and they organised a private afternoon tea for us. Hands down the most delicious cakes I've ever eaten- all hand made by Will even the bread for the sandwiches. The shop is gorgeous and everyone loved it. Spent a lovely afternoon here for a friends Hen Do weekend. The afternoon tea was delicious, all home made by Will and Kate, the husband and wife team who run the place. They chatted away and told us about Heartfelt Vintage and its origins, then after we'd finished eating, a few of our party were allowed to try on some of the vintage dresses in the shop. It's an original and quirky little place and Kate and Will know their vintage fashion well. Could not recommend Kate and her wonderful shop enough! I have been to a few different bridal shops, but was struggling to find something I loved, and wanted something a bit different. The shop is so beautiful and full of so many different dresses, you are spoilt for choice! Kate was so kind and helpful, I have found my dream dress in a shop like no other. Kate has clearly taken so much time to beautifully decorate the boutique and source all the gorgeous vintage gowns, spanning decades of bridal style. I had a marvellous experience from start to finish, and Kate was super welcoming and attentive, and full of fantastic advice about fit, fabric and flow - as well as envisioning how a gown could be altered to contemporary tastes. I can’t recommend this place enough - any modern bride who wants something a little different will be right at home. Heartfelt vintage saved my wedding! I was extremely unorganised and met Kate at a wedding fair, she sorted my hen party, afternoon tea and fascinator making. We had the chocolatyist chocolate cake ever and everyone thoroughly enjoyed it. I took my friend here for an afternoon tea to celebrate her 60th birthday. We were made welcome as soon as we entered. The food was exceptional, all homemade, including the bread and clotted cream! (best we'd ever had!) I have been to a few afternoon teas, but this was the best by far. I found Kate's beautiful vintage bridal shop by chance when I was looking for somewhere to have afternoon tea in Clifton. But coincidentally I am also getting married soon, so I thought I'd have a look at the dresses. I first heard about Heartfelt Vintage from a couple of friends in Bristol and I decided to get in touch with Kate, the first contact I made with a wedding dress shop since getting engaged, but also the only place I ended up needing to visit. I always knew I wanted a vintage wedding dress and the standard uptight, false, boring faff of the ordinary wedding dress shop was not for me. From the first appointment I had with Kate she made me and my bridesmaids feel so welcome and comfortable in the shop. There was no pressure, no falseness, just a genuine love for all things vintage and proper quality customer service. I love the chats we have had about vintage fashion and history. We also had an absolutely delicious afternoon tea on our visit, all homemade by Kate's husband Will in the kitchen outback. Having been for afternoon tea since, I have to say that Heartfelt has set a pretty high standard for a quality afternoon tea and it has no comparison to the mush that is served as afternoon tea in some hotels and cafés in Bristol. Simple, if you want a good afternoon tea in Brizzle, book in advance at Heartfelt Vintage. In the build up to my wedding, I popped into Heartfelt Vintage numerous times and was always welcomed (in fact I ended up working for Kate - twice! Not a requirement for all brides!). Kate helped me decide on a vintage veil to go with my dress and I was so happy with it. My Bridesmaid also arranged my hen do party at Heartfelt Towers and we all had a lovely time - this time with some added Prosecco bubbles! Not only is Kate and Will's business all these things, but they also have great connections with other local businesses and very much support other creative talent in Bristol. If only all busineses could have this sense of community and solidarity. Kate put me in touch with the great Able Mabel (Emily White), who made a custom flower hair comb based on a vintage one I liked in the shop and Emily also set up a hair and make-up workshop with myself and one of my Bridesmaids. Emily and Kate both gave me lots of vintage style inspiration for my bridal look and were, and continue, to be the best vintage confidantes. Pia was also great at making me feel comfortable in my wedding dress and coming up with some simple little solutions, the finishing touches just completed the already beautiful 1950s long sleeve lace dress. I felt fabulous on my wedding day namely because of the support from this fabulous local family business. Kate doesn't accept this mainstream vision of a 'perfect bride', she champions those who want to do things differently and be body confident in the process. I continue to be in touch with Kate and would whole heartedly recommend her to any of my friends for vintage fashion or afternoon tea needs! Katrina xx ( ◜‿◝ )♡
