h. a.I came into the Colchester store today in a massive hurry as I needed a tuxedo for an award ceremony tomorrow. I was met by Neil who couldn’t have been more helpful! He got me everything together after carefully measuring me and my brother and had us on our way within the hour! He’s great with customers and is one of the nicest people I have ever met, he was honestly so helpful and I would highly recommend! He’s a real credit to moss bros!
L. J.Really good service. Had a suit made to measure really pleased with it. The manager was lovely he really knows what he's talking about and takes his time with you.
N.Good range, Jamane was very helpful when we were selecting bow ties just annoying they were priced up wrong and the manager would not honour the error. All we got was sorry human error!! They were that price two weeks ago when we were in!! Sort out your price checking!!

C. W.I went to these guys to get a suit made for my wedding using their Tailor Me service and to rent some outfit pieces for my groomsmen (waistcoat, pocket square, and tie). Overall, I was really happy with the suit, the outfit pieces, and the service I received.
The suit they made looked great and felt really comfortable to wear. You've got the option to make some nice personal touches (button hole colours, half canvas, lapels, vents, lining, embroideries, and fit) that really make a suit feel like your own (so I got the date of my wedding embroidered in the lining of my suit). The only issue I had with the design was the availability of some fabrics. I did have to settle on my second options for suit and lining colours. However, the suit itself looked great in the end so I was happy.
The whole rental process seemed a bit complex as they didn't do traditional sizes so all my groomsmen had to get themselves measured so they could get the right sized waistcoat. The challenge there was my groomsmen live in Milton Keynes, Cardiff, and Lincoln. However they were able to get measured at their local Moss Bros outlet so that wasn't an issue. Also, as i was hiring certain items and not a full wedding outfit, they had to set the items up as being separate rentals as opposed to being rented under just one record. However, I didn't need to do much about it. It just seemed a bit weird.
The guys in the shop were very helpful and kind. Everyone of them had good knowledge of their stock and their processes when it came to Tailor Me or renting. When I needed to buy some braces at short notice, I phoned them up, asked them how many items they had in-stock and if they could hold onto them for me so I could come in and buy them. They were happy to oblige, which really made me feel like a valued customer.
T. L.Rented morning suits a few times from Moss Colchester this summer and have never had any issues. Only think I would say is pricing is a bit vague and communication isn’t great on when to collect/drop off.
R. L.I needed a tuxedo for a formal work Christmas event and I couldn’t fault the service I received from Colleen, the store manager in Colchester.
She listened to what I needed and then explained in detail what the best options would be based on my price range.
I don’t usually write reviews, however she deserves a lot of credit for making my shopping experience effortless and stress free. You can tell she has a real passion for what she does and I would definitely and happily return for future purchases.
V. S.Very knowledgeable and helpful staff. Wide variety of shirts, suits and trousers. They also do custom made garments, would be very curious to make a shirt or suit there. Price are a bit higher, but the quality is also better. Would go back there to get more formal shirts for special occasions.

G. B.This used to be a proper tailors but, as with most gentlemen's outfitters these days, they have moved with the times and mainly sell big brand designer wear now. I think they still have a tailoring service and you can still rent a tuxedo here too. They sell suits, ties, shirts and accessories, e.g. tie pins. On the High Street, so park in the multi storey.
