C. B.Fabulous staff! Went today and they were really busy. Had to wait a few minutes, no big deal. Still, the gent who helped me gave me all the time in world, watched my gait, and let me try on several pairs of shoes. I never felt rushed or like they were trying to move me along. I ended up with a fantastically comfy pair of running shoes. I would recommend this shop to my closest friends and family! Will you get the cheapest pair of shoes? Probably not, but no one is ripping you off either and in the end you're getting a pair recommended based on your foot and step and by knowledgeable staff.
M. D.I couldn't recommend this place more. I came in knowing nothing, and popped in, as I needed a pair of shoes for treadmill running to get fit. I was pretty confused and anxious, but the staff helped guide me in my choice and I left the place with more knowledge of what I need from my shoes, and a nice new comfortable pair of shoes.
Will definitely return when I need another pair, and would recommend to people in the future. Cheers!
J. G.Was in yesterday (16th September) to get a pair of running shoes for a half marathon. Initially I was a bit intimidated by the choice because I knew next to nothing about proper running shoes but the staff were amazing (particularly Steph who helped me out).Talked me through different features and let me try on a good selection of shoes to see what I liked best.
I never at any point felt that I was being upsold or railroaded to the more expensive options. They clearly knew their stuff and seemed genuinely invested in getting the shoe that was right for me.
Will definitely be back.

Found the shoes my wife wanted here and not only were they posted out for next day delivery, a gentleman from the store called to check they had arrived in time because he knew the order was urgent. And they were £30 cheaper than most other stores. Amazing service, thank you.
R. B.Popped in to get my husband some new running shoes post knee op. We went in on a Sunday which was quite busy. I have to say Katy had a wealth of knowledge both on product and the running industry. Although the store was busy at no point we felt at all rushed or distracted by other customers. Katy had a keen eye on what my husband needed and brought several options to try on without any pressure to buy at all. Just purely wanted to help and educate us on the best product for his needs.
I can honestly say this store has the best customer service I have ever experienced from a running store and deserve every penny of your money for their enthusiasm for the sport, product and willingness to listen to each customers needs even at peak times. All staff are from a sports background whether PT's, marathon runners or physicians in the field.
The store is great, so trendy and easy to view product and navigate the store without feeling overwhelmed at choice.
Absoultely fantastic range of modern trainers with new technology and awesome colours for all!
So happy we stumbled across this little gem.
Cant wait to go back and buy some more trainers and pick Katys brain on what we need next.

C.I will be the first to admit that I am bit snobbish and have relied on online shopping for many years now due to the atrocious customer service and in-store experiences I’ve had with clueless and unmotivated staff. However, I have developed a real love for visiting Achilles Heel - it’s not easy to put my feelings into words but the interactions I’ve had with the staff have been incredibly sincere and positive. It seems like everybody who works there has a real passion for running, and in the rare case that the person helping you doesn’t know an answer to one of your questions, they will not hesitate to go and ask for the input from somebody else on the team (rather than blagging their way into a sale). I am immensely grateful for all the time and effort all the staff went through to help me find several perfect running shoes for different races of mine, and trust me, I am not an easy customer!
This establishment was obviously created by runners, for runners, with the inclusion of a sports injury / physio clinic, a running club and highly dedicated staff.
This is honestly the only store I can currently think of which I’m willing to visit physically rather than buy online from.
S. R.I have been going here for years. Customer service is fantastic. The staff really try and help find running shoes that are suitable and if you have an issue with the shoes they are really helpful.
