The Beauty Apothecarist shop is a magical wonderland of beauty and self care - not just for your skin. There is everything your hair and skin could need collected in a joyful mermaid's cove of beauty secrets - that the Beauty Apothecarist is happy to share. She will guide you to just what your skin, hair, mind and spirit need or you can just browse and soak up the vibe. Not just for the ladies. Something for everyone and gorgeous gifts too. Plus you can refill many of the products reducing the need for single use packaging and protecting the ocean from throw away plastic. Love this shop

Tara was kind enough to give me some products to test while I was away travelling in Thailand. The adventure bar was perfect for long days in the sea protecting my face and lips from the salt water, which was leaving them dry and chapped otherwise! I also used the bar for anti chaffing purposes between my thighs which was great when it was slightly cooler, as well as being fab hydration for my sun burnt skin. I also took the shampoo bar with me which doubled as soap and saved loads of space while travelling. I have eczema and sensitive skin and both products didn't bother my skin at all. A wonderfully quirky kitsch shop with the most amazing selection of quality gifts, jewellery and beauty & bath items. All organic, handmade, cruelty-free snd delicious. I’m absolutely besotted by the face oils, which sink in and leave my dry skin dewy. Also love the Retro Rose body butter which doubles up for me as a leave-in conditioner for my thick curly hair. And it smells nice. Last, but not least, I love Adventure Balm which stops chaffing when train for ultramarathons.

This place is a beautiful hidden gem ⭐️ Lovely selection of luxury Natural Organic Handmade Beauty products, Skin Care, Bath salts , natural essential oils , bath melt truffles, face mists and more. All the ingredients used are natural ( no any nasty chemicals)feels and smell delicious. Hand made in Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 Tara is super friendly and an expert when it comes to all skin and beauty related. Such a lovely shop. Well definitely be back :) Highly recommend..

I'm completely in love with Tara's products! Had the chance to try quite a few of them on a trip to Scotland and bring my favourites home with me. My absolute favourite product is her Baby Face potion -- the oil sinks into damp skin almost immediately and just leaves my skin feeling soft, nourished, cared for, and not at all greasy or oily. Perfect for that mix of acne and beginning wrinkles that is being in your early 30s... The bath truffles make for a luxurious bath-time and the oils simply melt into your skin, making you feel like a goddess, and prolonging that pampering feeling from having a good bath. I mixed it with the milk & oats bath bomb which is soothing and relaxing and not-too-overpowering for sensitive skin and noses like mine, absolutely perfect. Every product of Tara's I've tried has been brilliant, and her knowledge and guidance when you visit her shop is priceless. Planning to visit again whenever I'm in Scotland, not least when I hike the West Highland Way next summer for some foot balm and anti-insect potion!

Open a door to a magical wee shop full of Handmade Organic Natural beauty products. I have bought several skin products (serums, oils, facial cleansing) and my skin is looking better than ever! Tara the owner, is the cutest little witch who creates skin miracles with her magic wand!

I came across this amazing wee shop while i was on holiday at blanefield. I immediately felt welcomed by Tara. Everything is displayed so beautifully, so many things to see and the display cabinets top it all off. Very instagrammable. I felt it was a hidden gem and defo worth a look if you're through that way.

Refillable liquid shampoo..... I'm a convert!! I came to you yesterday after years of using shampoo bars and being highly unimpressed with my most recent one. My hair had become dry, frizzy and unmanageable. I bought a bottle of your liquid shampoo and I definitely won't be going back to shampoo bars any time soon!! My hair has been restored to it's previous sleek and smooth condition in just one use! 😍 As a family, we try to be as environmentally friendly/sustainable as possible and most things we use are reusable or recyclable so the shampoo bars seemed like an obvious switch. It's great to know that, now with the lovely reusable bottle, I can revert back to liquid shampoo, lovely glossy hair and remain (relatively) plastic and waste free 🥰

The beauty apothecarist’ products are absolutely amazing. They are well packaged and great for my skin! My personal favorites are the bath melt truffles because the oil really melts in to your skin making you feel silky smooth! Most of the products are all vegan, natural and organic and it makes you feel good because you really know what’s in the products! Sometimes the products are so pretty that you don’t even want to use them! Really really love them!
