Reviews of ATIKA
J.
Great selection of vintage Levi’s and shirts🙏🏼 and I love the stationary and cute mini sculptures/candles they carry by various local artists😍🔥
E. R.
Amazing store on two levels. Incredible selection of vintage and absorbing atmosphere. I didn't see a lift so access for wheelchairs may be difficult and its down a side street off Brick Lane so parking will be an issue. Seating areas are available and they sell books and magazines so you can rest for a while as well. As its not just clothing there is an abundance of items that would make great gifts as well. I will probably visit again when I'm in the area just for the ambience.
S. M.
Definitely the biggest vintage clothing store I ve ever been, massive selection of cloths, bags, accessories and even art, they seem to support local designers too which is great to see..slightly on the expensive side (but not more expensive than other vintage stores) and some days they have 10% discount on everything (usually this discount is for students). Worth checking out!
G. C.
Upper floor - remix, selections, accessories, sales. Lower floor - traditional vintages. To be honest, I have been to so many vintage shops - Shoreditch, Soho, Portebello, etc; and this is the best and most amusing one among all. Period.
S. L.
Amazing store!
Huge space with so much cool stuff not only vintage clothes but also books, pots, cards, etc etc
All staff were very friendly and playing nice music, Honestly, I can spend hours in that store. When you are in London you must check this store!!! Highly recommended.
K. A.
Brick Lane is great for vintage clothes shopping. ATIKA offers a well curated and wide selection. It's not the cheapest, but it is one of the more professional offerings. If you like your stores clearly laid out, this is worth a visit. If you're looking for a mass of clothes to rummage through, you'd be better elsewhere.
L. E.
Huge two story department store with lots of vintage goods. Easy to access and well worth getting the tube over. Not a cheap vintage store but the goods inside are worth the money.
E. D.
1 of my favourite vintage stores in East London! I never go in without buying something! The clothes they sell...Top Quality!
A. C.
Great place to all your vintage and retro gift ideas over two floors. Great soundtrack to shop to.
H. p.
Great clothes. The shop is set out rlly well so clothes are easy to find.
W. P.
Best vintage place in Brick Lane area. New and repurchased stuff too. Even when I accompany someone and say I am not buying anything I still come away with a great item. Great selection of Italian made clothes, I can never resist.
E. E.
Cool old skool threads but the music is far too loud, got a headache within a few minutes and had to get out of there! It's a shame, the clothes look cool. Please turn the music down.
D. T. I. E. G.
Nice shop with vintage an new stuff i definetly recomend one of the best shops in Bricklane
S. S. (.
Interesting choice of vintage-like clothes. I think I've never seen so many vests in my life
R. A.
Amazing shop..Great staff great prices!!
S. K.
The vintage shopping experience is redefined from the moment you walk into ATIKA - it's clear that attention to quality control has been given from selection to display, with a clearly curated and art-directed visual experience, as well as friendly team members who go the extra mile.
B. H.
A range of clothes, jewellery, prints and much more from independent artists and remade clothes by ATIKA. The staff are so so so lovely and everything is reasonably priced; one of our favourite spots in London.
S. M.
This is an incredibly curated shop that markets itself as vintage. And the vast majority of the store is vintage, however there is the in-house line that is altered vintage and some designers I can only assume are local. There is a nice range of affordability on the items, ranging from £7 silky scarves to items from Burberry and YSL. The two floors reflect different styles and with good organization and they aren't over-styffed. In the basement there's an entire room which is basically just sale (right by the dressing rooms) that you can find nice deals in if you're willing to dig.
M. F. (. P.
Nice huge place for vintage clothes. Good price too considering the area. I went there on a Sunday afternoon and I found very nice shopping assistants and again, a big selection for both women, man and youth audience.
Highly recommended
S. C.
Great shop, went in for the vinyl rather than clothes. Staff were all very friendly, but not in a robotic fake way. Coffee was great too and barista was nice to chat to. I should mention this review is from 2017. It iis of the shop that was here before Akita. Same address.
G. R.
Really lovely vintage shop. The place is huge - two floors as well as a cafe. They have a wide variety of vintage items at very good value, as well as a selection of books and vinyls. There are usually people handing out 10% discount flyers on Brick Lane so be sure to watch out for that a grab a discount!
J. K.
Ok.Nothing outstanding merchandise wise.Sorry to say that, but that's my honest appraisal.
d. o.
The space is well considered, different garments and genres in grouped areas, everything from shoes to home-ware. All very funky, vintage style. Not cheap mind like all these places but more of an experience than hunting for vintage in a charity shop. The cafe alone is a must-go experience.
T. W.
Full of amazing things and very covid safe
M. M.
I wish vintage shopping wasn't so expensive! I preferred the old name of Blitz London, but it is definitely worth a look for vintage pieces!
The shop has a bargain basement which is worthy of a good look through!
H. M.
Blitz is really lovely vintage shop. Great organised with kind and cool staff but unfortunately it's way too expensive for me in terms of second hand clothing... (20-30 for used jeans, hm?)
Anyway, they've got everything there! Clothes, bags, sneakers, jewellery, belts, postcards and cafe! So if you're not poor student like me, you should spend some £££ there! ;)
E. S.
Very large vintage store with quite a few new pieces too. You do need to have a thorough look to find the gems, but that's part of the fun.
If you're looking for a statement piece, this isnt the place. Come here for nice everyday ware.
J. S.
A massive collection of well curated vintage clothes and overall a very cool store.
K. P. (.
Blitz is basically a vintage department store. It's laid out beautifully and neatly over two floors and it's all so, so very organised. We came here on the hunt for a vintage trunk/suitcase, and we were thrilled when we realised that nearly everything in this store is for sale. Including the vintage trunks that hold the scarves/belts/bags/hats/etc.! We didn't find the suitcase/trunk for us, but I did note quite a few items I'd like to come back for!
H. H.
This is the biggest and best vintage clothes store I have so far found in London. Great range of stuff, takes a while to go through it but you will always find some lovely pieces.
S. C.
Great range of vintage clothing.
n. p.
Blitz is a real emporium of vintage and you'll likely need a coffee to get around everything - it's just as well that they have an espresso bar. It looks like a smallish business from the street but it is cavernous with a below street level (didn't make it down on this visit). I was surprised to see that a lot of the display props that similar shops don't sell were available to buy - a nice touch. Looking forward to returning after pay day.
J. H.
My favourite shop in London.
1) Great clothes
2) for cheap.
3) And the staff are incredibly nice - especially John!
(Also, there's always 10% off from the flyer people, usually on the corner of Hanbury street.)
Z. P.
If you're not a fan of disorganised vintage shops that you have to rummage in (but still love retro things), then you'll love Blitz. The whole place is perfectly laid out - with a coffee shop to your right for those who need a caffeine hit before shopping. Almost everything you see in here is for sale, so those beautiful pull-down maps on the wall, well, they're for sale too. You can also pick up vintage sugar jars, typewriters and other bits and bobs here, so you and your home can get kitted out.
A. S.
East London isn't short of vintage shops, but Blitz has the advantage of being extremely beautiful and a joy to shop in. Set over two floors, it sells clothes and furniture, while the adjoining cafe has a small but well-chosen collection of (new, not secondhand) books for sale. I wouldn't go to Blitz expecting to rummage rails for a bargain - I wouldn't say that anything here comes cheap - but if you're looking for good quality vintage then you're in the right place.
E. C.
Good vintage spot. Prices vary; checkout downstairs for bargains. I was able to get a few pounds off on one of the dresses. Would come back again.
B. S.
Massive vintage store with old and repurposed clothes. Lots of t-shorts, shirts, coats and shoes, not so many dresses and a few books. A wide selection and well organised so worth popping in if you are in the area.
B. H.
Such a vast place, and everything is so well sorted and laid out, but this is reflected in the high prices. Shirts at £15, Barbour jackets at £110. Cafe attached. And if you get a flyer from the girl on Brick Lane you get 10% off.
C. W.
Loads of vintage garmz. It's so huge and there's so much to choose from. As well as clothes they have vinyls, plants, jewellery and odd bits and bobs
R. N.
Trendy Shop, neatest vintage shop I’ve seen so far 👌. Friendly Staff and amazing gear. Lovely hats managed to grab a beret hat.
Music in store was great to
G.
Friendly staff, clean shop and some sweet clothes. Much more reasonably priced than Brick Lane vintage markets (screw paying £40 for a stained button-up)
M. M.
massive original/vintage/upcycled goods shop off brick lane. Great finds to be had if that's your vibe, although can be a bit pricey at times.
S. D.
Everything’s super-size these days. Why would you want an espresso when you can have a full double pint of scorching black coffee? Why drive a Mini when you can get one of those elongated Hummers with blacked-out windows and obligatory Krug?
Blitz is for those who believe that big is always better: it’s London’s first vintage department store (although I think Beyond Retro on Cheshire St could give it a run for its money in terms of floor space). There’s furniture, clothes, discounted modern books (a bargainous £4) and, of course, a cute little cafe. On first sight, the stock is really well chosen – there’s the usual, 80s-heavy vintage (no thanks) but balanced well with expensive older clothes (£65 for Fifties dresses in pristine condition).
The furniture’s particularly swoonsome – a mid-century dream of wood with clean lines, balanced with the kind of insane Victoriana (foreign-language medical posters? Plaster casts of glove moulds?) that contrasts so well. But, despite the overwhelming beauty of the building and much of its stock, I didn’t buy anything. I guess, for a small town girl like me, it’s just a little too big…
S.
Love this shop! Always plenty of options and the aesthetic is just perfect ^^
Will go back very soon and very often (have been twice thus month...)
C. D.
Yep those were clothes.
The drip is now respectable.
M. O.
Really nice people working there. Great variety of clothes and prices. Definitely something for everyone
C. R.
@lily cheng i understand it could have felt like racism but you shouldn't throw that around bc there doesn't seem to be that motive from what you wrote
b.
well priced unique vintage. love this place.
E. V.
A lot of vintage items all in one place. Convenient and spacious. Comfortable shopping experience.
C. S.
Massive, curated vintage store. When we were there they were having a sale: the entire basement was clothing sold by the kilo. Specializes in American trends.
C. D.
Fun to walk around but the prices here are insane considering the quality of clothing. Honestly nothing special and not worth checking out.
R. H.
Great stuff, quite expensive tho ecspicially because it's based in Brick Lane which contains lotta of vintage shops
S. K.
Interesting choice of vintage-like clothes. I think
E. L.
Amazing vintage clothing collection from all over the world. 2 floors filled with amazing ware, accessories, t shirts, coats, and more
L. M.
ATIKA is a great Vintage shop with a plesant shop experience, great customer service and a wide range of clothing pieces that look great. You can find many vintage sportsware pieces at great prices.
I. C.

Y. S.
Great vintage clothing
D. V.
Lovely store with a great assortment of clothes. Prices do vary but definitely affordable
L. V.
great selection of vintage clothing. really cheap options as well. staff is nice and welcoming.
C. d. G.
Great shop that reinvents retro fashion. They have classic pieces and revamped "Blitz Remixes" which are a fresh take on the vintage look.
A. A.
Lota of things to find here, but you need a lot of time to look around. So many diff styles and genres and prices are all good.
T. O.
Eye-wateringly expensive 'vintage' clothes, but hot damn, this is the best Oreo milkshake in east London. Inexplicably, very good book selection also.
M. C.
The best of preowned clothing. Cycle clothing from the 60s! You pay a premium for it though... Sometimes more than originally sold for!
T. S.
It's a really good shop if you are on the lookout for some trippy clothing.
R. P.
Nice place to get some vintage stuff. I actually got a Burberry trench coat there for 90 quid which would have cost me more than two monkeys new.
L. C.
Amazing genuine vintage clothes. Friendly helpful staff. Chilled atmosphere. Luv it.
I. I.
Really nice store to visit with a variety of different items beyond clothes. Very expensive though.
m.

T. Z.
If you're searching for something a bit different that's old and original then this is the place to go. You will always find something you like.
W. E.
Good selection and can occasionally get an alright deal. Most items overpriced for what they are though.
K. M.
Well curated selection in sensible groupings, making the rummage easier. Sick of being accosted with the 10% off flyers daily though (as I work in the area)
e. z.
Felix has bent over backwards to help my son find a dinner suit. Great service thank you so much x

Lovely vintage store, a lititle expensive but it is worth you're money

I spent here like two hours. So much good stuff for a 90’s/80’s vintage lover!
T. K.
A lot of variety. I had a lot of fun and I'm looking forward to going there again.
J. M.
Unreasonably steep prices on most things and the selection is smaller than the web makes it out to be, but the curation is quite good.

(Translated) When I visited, it was on sale at 20%, so I was able to purchase things more cheaply. I tried to wear clothes and thought about it, but I couldn't take pictures of it in the end. However, the vintage gemstone ring is cheap. The companion bought a checkered man and a hat, but he was very satisfied! It was fun just to spend time here.
