Lovely calm store with some beautiful jazz playing when we went in. Friendly staff. Quality pieces carefully labelled. Not the cheapest, but the experience doesn’t feel cheap either. Also, some good marbles and shaped candles.

Lovely staff and selection. I like the selection here better than a lot of the shops right on Brick Lane. Had a lot more classic pieces, and more selection that just the Burberry trenches, cropped button downs, and denim jackets you see everywhere else. It’s clear the pieces are selected with purpose.

House of Vintage certainly isn't cheap, but you won't have to trawl through trash to find the gems. They sell clothes from the 1920s-80s but their 60s wedding dresses and 50s prom gowns are just gorgeous. But as I said before - don't expect to find a bargain here. I fell in love with a peachy chiffon 50s gown but the price tag of £140 put me off, especially as it had a large patch of sequins missing. Still, if you're in need of a vintage dress for a very special occasion then this is the place to visit.
